The Sensation i am talking about is most probably the sensation made for Japan or any other far east country.
It came with an S-OFF bootloader, i was at last able to install jb_hboot on it and 4ext recovery and flash Dark Forest rom.
The sensation came with several codes PG58100, PG58110, PG58120 and PG58130

That would explain it, up till then I though sensation has only 3 model id's - one for normal sensation, sensation xe and sensation 4g lol, now this makes me wounder just how many different model id's htc made for sensation

Why don't you try it out?

Assuming you have HBOOT 1.18.0000 (which you should) then you can just use Revolutionary to S-OFF as you would the normal Sensation

Got my Sensation XE today.
Would be interesting if we can flash normal Sensation Roms.
Kernel an Hboot are the same?
Kernel is ROM dependent, I'd imagine it would work fine but I've no idea how the clock speed would be affected as the stock XE ROM runs at 1.2GHz on the original Sensation as opposed to 1.5GHz
Nandroid and give a ROM a go. If it doesn't work, restore your nandroid/flash the RUU
can one of you who have the xe get us the kernel so we can find out how its running stock at 1.5?
the stock kernel isn't released yet.
Is it possible to extract the kernel from stock xe ruu?

They are basically the same phone.
They both have the same hardware.
They can share the same roms,hboot, kernels and radios.

In addition: Stock RUU of the XE can not be flashed with the original installer, but if one cooks them, they can - as already said by malybru - be installed without pain.
Anyway, for battery reasons I suggest installing a modded ROM.

Hi,
The original Sensation and the XE are exactly the same phone ,bar some pretty external cover.
So, anything you see in the "Sensation" forums is good enough for your phone.
Almost the same, different size of internal memory I think.

It's a rebranded Sensation with the Evo 3D's Battery, Red accents & Beats Earphones.
It doesn't have 4G.

Well , next week am planning to buy Sensation XE .
But here in XDA there are 2 forums... one for HTC Sensation and other for Sensation XL .
But there is no seperate forum for Sensation XE.
So where can i get custom rom etc for Sensation XE ?

The Sensation and Sensation XE are the same device. The Sensation XE only has it's CPU clock set higher. Anything in this forum will also work with the Sensation XE.
Hopefuly custom roms of Sensation wont screw up my Sensation XE

thank you se1000, now i have my phone s-off/ rooted, and now im installing the touch recovery,but i want to know will i need to SuperCID my phone to install custom roms(i have 1.27.0000 hboot) ?
which Rom do you advice me to install (sense 4)?

i had a HTC HD2 before buying this Sensation, i installed all avaible ROMs for the HD2 (realy all) and whitout any problem and without need to change any thing (bootloader,firmware,...) (after installing the right recovery), but with HTC Sensation i think it is more complicated,is it?

Sensation and Sensation 4G are the same phone. The Sensation 4G is the T-Mobile US variant (name only).
Yes I wondered the same thing until I learned the 4g like we have is just a name Tmobile gave it. It confused me too at first.
