Titanium Backup - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I use titanium backup to restore my apps and apps data after flashing a new rom (i never use it to restore system data). On my old phone (tbolt) I would use the BATCH to restore all apps and apps data and it would do it all automatically. Now when i use it to do the same thing, I have to manually press Install then Done, Install then Done on every single app. Is there a way to make it do it again automatically so i'm not having to press install and done for every app?
Thanks

It only does that if you don't have the pro version. If you paid for pro, download it again thru the play store. If you never had it, you got lucky for a while and now you must pay.

Another method if you still have your T-bolt, or a backup of your storage card, is to look for a file in the root of the card named titanium license.txt. Move this file to the root of the internal storage on the S3, TI should check for file the next time you open the app and you will be all set.

[Q] Cant restore backed up apps with Titanium?

I used Titanium Pro to back up all the apps and bloatware on my G2X. When I try to restore any of the ones I have un-installed the restore option is not there. I think it may have something to do with the external - internal sd card. I also keep loosing the icons to some of my apps (the ones on sd) inside the folder on my home screen. How do I restore these apps that I have backed up??
Ps I have used titanium many times on my rooted cliq with no problems.
my backups are on the internal sd.i've restored a few times with no problem i haven't updated mine though. using an older apk. i've read people are having issues here and there with titanium. so i'm sticking with my old version.

IMHO Titanium Backup has always been great with user apks, but very lacking with system apks. I'm not sure if it's trying to actually "install" system apks or what, but I've never had any luck with it.
Anyway, you should be able to just push the apks back to your /system/app/ from one of the roms or backups you can find here.
Have you checked the path to the folder that your backups are in with TB?
There is an option to change it in settings. You may have to reboot after changing it.
gonna give that a shot. Thanks.
Having trouble with my Titanium Backup. I backed up all my user apps + data, wiped and installed a new ROM. After getting it back up w/ new ROM, market, install titanium (w/ pro key) and go to restore apps. None of my backups show up. Batch > "Restore missing apps with data", shows 0 apps. When I go Preferences > Backup folder location it shows the folder (mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup) with all my backups it in, even says "This folder contains 62 backups".
Any help on how to restore these would be greatly appreciated.

On the folder location screen choose detect and choose whole phone. It will search for the directory your backups are in. If that doesn't work then i'm guessing you may have formatted the location where your backups existed.
Try this..

What happens when you install CM7 is that the sdcard directory now points to your external sd card rather then the internal that comes with the phone.
the internal is now at /mnt/emmc
Get root explorer and you will see what I'm talking about.
Once you have root explorer just copy the titanium backup folder from /mnt/emmc to /sdcard and you should be able to restore all user apps with data... however DO NOT restore system data from stock to CM7... big headaches.
Hope this helps!

Transferring apps between devices

Hello I want to transfer all of the apps I have on my rooted Vibrant to my new Toshiba Thrive.
I have Titanium Backup on the phone and have not yet rooted the Thrive.
I assume I have to root the Thrive first, after that, whats the process.
I appreciate the help.
Thanks
1) root new phone, install titanium, make a full backup, move backup to cloud or computer
2) copy folder with Titanium backups from old to new phone
3) run Titanium on new phone, start the batch job "restore missing apps with data" and pick the apps you want to move over
4) if everything works OK make a new full backup of everything
Don't move system apps from one phone to another unless you're sure they're compatible. If you accidentally change something that shouldn't have changed, use the backup that you made in step 1.
Had the same question!
Thanks!!

[Q] titanium backup help

i accidentally uninstalled the stock camera app on my samsung conquer 4g.i have a backup for it but i go to restore it, it just freezes in restoring app mode. i have no problems restoring most apps. can someone please help! and im not using any custom roms what so ever
conoirecti
I do not know
Try installing stock rom again.
u may need to flash your original rom or ask someone who was backup the shock camera.
Beside, u can try other 3rd camera apps
Use root explorer
Go to system directory
Mount partition as r/w
Paste the apk in system/apps
Reboot
I think this will help you. if it does please THANK me.
Sent from my Blade
Well also don't forget to set full permissions.
Once when I copied the apk file it didn't work later when I set full permissions it worked.
I would use titanium backup to backup the apps you have, then do a factory reset if the AOL fix above doesn't worm.
mount your SD card from your PC transfer a copy of your Titanium Backup folder from SD card to PC the MAin folder and the contents will all be saved. Then reinsert SD in phone uninstall TitBa clearing the data first then uninstall. Then boot into ClockWorkMod then wipe all 3 cache's then do "Fix Permissions" then Reboot phone. Re-Install Titanium back up and transfer your app backups from your PC back into your newly created TB folder that your phone will make on the SD card when you install TB. Then go into Restore/Backup in TB and restore the App.
You need to allow to install apps from unknown sources!

Can I use a backup app to restore my installed apps after rooting/flashing my phone?

I was asking earlier about how to make a list of all the apps I have installed, so that when I root my Note 4 (which involves wiping the phone), I can go through the list and easily remember which apps I should reinstall. But someone suggested just using a backup app like Helium, and then restoring them once I root my Note 4.
Will that actually work? Can I just use a backup app like Helium or Titanium or MyBackup, backup all my installed apps and their user data, then root/wipe the phone, reinstall said backup app, and I'll be able to restore all the apps I have installed, and they'll just work?
And if so, does it include things like user data for each app like configuration options and locally stored saved games? Can I go through the list and only restore the apps that I really want, unchecking all the ones I don't want reinstalled?

Transfer App with data to other phone

I recently got hands on my OnePlus 3. I am migrating from RedMi Note 3G. Now the thing is, I have couple of apps (Whatsapp & Saavn) which have larger data (300MB and 700+MB) with them. Now I know Titanium Backup is a way to go but it is not backing up my apps saying insufficient storage available even though I have 1 GB+ available on phone and 10 GB+ on External SD(My backup location is on here).
So my question is, is there any better way for this to transfer directly?
I tried:
Easy Backup(app) - Only backs up apk.
CloneIt(app) - Only sends apk.
You can try Titanium Backup but I'll warn you, some apps and data don't restore correctly on another device.
You can also use ES file Explorer to backup the apk and then you go to your Android/data/ folder and you'll see a folder there that has the app data for that app, you can copy that folder to your extsdcard or PC then you install the apk on the other device then you copy the app data folder to the Android/data folder on the new device.
I tried Titanium Backup, it wont backup saying insufficient storage while I have more than enough on both(Phone & SD card).
I will try the other idea and let you know.
Yeah, the second option I posted, doing it manually. It backs up the same stuff Titanium would, Titanium just automates the process for you. You just need to know where to look so you can copy the app data folder for each app that you backup, then you need to know where to put back on the other device. Its a bit round-a-bout but it serves the sane purpose and will do the same job, you just have to do it yourself instead of it being convenient.
Doesn't Work. FIles get copied but app doesn't recognize them anyway.
Do an adb backup then, you can restore it with adb also.
