i do s-off to my desire s and root it but when i install a rom in clockworkmod he seys: (status 7) install aborted
what to do for fixing it?

What ROM are you trying to install? I think status 7 might indicate you are using a ROM designed for a different phone model.
ammm i tried miui rom for them offical website and doawnload htc desire version,and some other roms from here theunlockr.xxx/category/roms-2/android-roms-2/htc-desire-roms-2/ (change xxx to com)

the link you provided has roms for desire not the Desire S
for the desire S you can try one of the below ROMs

How did you determint his? I am Using AR HD and cant figure out how to use OpenVPN with it....Are you not using the certs generated by it and using another method?

Thanks i took this one too but this time i also set Android revolution HD on my phone. Right now, don't know what to choose beetwen insertcoin rom and android revolution rom. Maybe i'm going to stay on android revolution.

I just rooted my desire HD and want to flash the Android Revolution HD™ 6.1.2 rom.
Leedroid had a full wipe file on his ROM Page too. Been using that for a long time and no problems at all.

+1 for InsertCoin, love this guys roms, good battery life and support from the dev.
Mike1986s super wipe script is the best. Use it before I flash any ROMs.

Hello all,
I am benjamingwynn. I am currently working on a sense 3.5 ROM for the HTC Wildfire S and HTC Salsa and ran into a problem...
The kernel on the Salsa cannot or won't work on Sense 3.5 ROMS.
This is where I need a kernel dev who is looking for a small challenge to help modify the existing kernel for the salsa to run sense 3.5.
If you are looking for a real challenge then overclocking is also a possibility, but not something we need.
I have little experience with kernel development but am a fast learner as

@OP, what exactly happens?
Stuck on the bootloader?
Also, are you porting a newer Android version and using an old kernel? - e.g. you had froyo, the rom you are porting is gingerbread and you are using the froyo kernel
Also, if you manage to get logcat/ dmesg - it'ld help
And post the kernel here.
