Somehow while messing around last night with the button reset I got the phone booted up into safe mode. Anybody know how to replicate this?
On JB you hold down on the on screen shut down and it asks if you want safe mode.

Think I saw this once holding down vol up & down (maybe pwr?) during boot. Prolly a timing thing, couldn't reproduce.

Why does everytime I reboot my phone..... It resets screen time out. It set the time out of screen to 15 seconds ( THE DEFAULT TIME). That is so annoying. Any fixes or tips to help me out???

What rom are you running? If its stock try a factory reset because I haven't heard of that issue for as long as the phone has been out

Here lately it seems that I have to hit the power button several times to power the screen back on after time goes to sleep. I noticed this after flashing the kg4 leak. Has anybody else had this issue or is it hardware related. It does seem that I have to hit it more and more as time goes on.

My roommate's nexus s won't boot up. He was having power button issues and found a video telling him to connect the phone to the computer, pull battery and hold "X" then put battery back in. The phone wont boot up now. Help me please

It won't even turn on?

Take the back cover off and try to connect it to the computer, play around a bit with taking out the battery etc, with a bit of luck it will turn on. Otherwise you need to get your powerbutton replaced... taking apart your phone is not all that difficult. Good luck.

Thanks guys. We've fiddled around with the phone and can't get it to turn on. He is gonna have to send it out. Its a bummer but it isn't really a common problem

I just had the home screen stuck in widescreen mode and even after locking and unlocking the phone it was still stuck. I pulled the battery to fix. Is this a known bug with a fix?

On gingerbread's cwm, the back menu button keeps getting disabled for no reason this is on the newer version that comes with bh's blast off kernel too. It forces me to do a battery pull pretty much every time I get into recovery unless I flash/wipe cache within about 15 to 20 seconds. Any fix for this?

It happens when you scroll through the menu. To re enable just hit the button (I believe) up a bunch of times.

You need to put and hold the phone in the mouth, then do a backflip, run 2 miles and drink soda, jump 100 times... oh, you dropped the phone? Start again!
J/k... Hit vol up and down at the same time.

Tried that but holding up and down doesnt work for me. The best thing is just tapping the vol up repeatedly.
