Any one know how to get SiriusXM Internet Radio onto the HTC One XL? Google Play site won't allow me, and I cannot find any OTA links, I searched the Q&A forum but haven't seen anything.

Either I am blind this morning or that was edited in. My mistake. Your transformer doesn't have a cellular connection though does it?

The Transformer Prime is WiFi only, but the Play store does know I am Canadian and I do not think banning downloads for the HTC ONE X has anything to do with using LTE or WiFi.

That's what I thought with the transformer.
My point was maybe Sirius XM does not have licensing to transmit services over cellular radios in Canada. Or maybe it's that Rodgers is specifically blocking Sirius because they don't want the services transmitted over their network. I don't know. Just trying to think outside the box on this one as to why it may be.
You try downloading The Sirius Canada apk directly?

Could be a Rogers block, though I have no problem streaming movies from Netflix or Google.
Got 10 Gig per month
market enabler from the play store can spoof the play store into thinking you're on a US carrier.

Hi All
I have my Xoom it rocks, now I am using it in the UK with wireless only, not an issue knew that it would never work on a network here, however is there a way to turn the CDMA off as I cant get any UK only apps from the market it still see's verizon even though it is not activated or in the US.
I tried Market enabler but it does not seem to work with the xoom yet.
Any ideas.
Thanks
Lordao
Interesting... I thought the Market identifies users based on their location. I don't think that the problem is CDMA. I believe there must be something else that identifies the device as US version.
I wonder if the WIFI only version has the same problem? I ordered a WIFI only Xoom from US, but i haven't received it yet.
What apps are UK only? I wonder if i could download them...
EDIT: I did some searching and it seems that Market checks location and ROM version. So you probably need to change your ROM version, I have no idea if that is possible.

Heya All
Can anyone explain to me why even though I have never activated the data on the xoom when I bought it in the US why when I connect via Wifi in the UK where I live it will not let me download UK only apps.
Iplayer, Sky news, TVguide all the UK only apps are not allowed.
I have turned off all the CDMA crap even put it on flight mode with wifi but still it thinks I am in the US. I have tried market enabler as well dont work..
Any help would be appreciated.

It is the IMEI number. My guess is that market looks at this number, then checks what country that number was sold in/assigned to.

ummm. I look at it
service state : out of service
mobile network state: disconected
mobile network type: unknown
nothing about IMEI...I thought CDMA didn't use typical IMEI stuff though i might be wrong.

As far as I know, Market looks for IP address and rom version. So your problem probably is rom version.
I don't know if you tried the app called market access. You can use it to emulate the UK market instead of the Verizon one which probably doesn't have UK specific apps

you cant take a device from one region to another and have it work over the networks. you have to have the device from your local region

I had a galaxy tab from another region and that worked fine.
If you enabled "allow mock locations " would that work?

Tried Market access as per your reply put in the orange uk code but nothing changed UK apps still not visible in the market..
Finally found an apk for bbc iplayer but wont play videos, not sure if that is an issue with honeycomb compatibility or something else though.

As the title says....
My account is uk, I'm uk based, but is there any way we can trick the xoom and the google account into thinking we are USA based?
Is it as simple as just chaining the settings? Or is it server based, in which case is there a way to make it look like you are connected in america?
Did you try Market Enabler? You can get it from the market (free) and set it for a US provider (i think there are two to choose from). It may work for you.
stronvpn.com
im in canada its what i use to watch netflix and hulu on my pc also works on my xoom, price isnt bad its always a solid connection and ive never had an issue
Instructions for using stronvpn.com on xoom, pls...

I had a replacement Xoom sent to me after my last Xoom took a nap and never woke up. Anyway I was downloading an app yesterday and I was using the browser and looking at the Market through the browser. When I clicked to download the app it said that I had a Verizon Xoom.
How can I tell? The Xoom I have doesn't say VZW on it. My Xoom is flashed to Moray so I don't know if there's something.
Mine is from Sprint but it is also mentioned as Verizon Xoom in My market account.
I originally purchased a WiFi only Xoom. Could it be they sent me a VZW one by mistake? Does that mean I can also send it in to get the 4G upgrade when available since I have the VZW Xoom? Do I even have a VZW Xoom? Did you confirm you have a Sprint Xoom?

Mine is wi-fi only xoom
Not possible that you will be given 4g lte upgrade.4g lte upgrade is for Verizon 3g customers ONLY.
Mine bought from Sprint that's why I know it is from it(though on box there is no where sprint name/logo)
It seems anroid market classification is at fault.
Oh ok. I see.
OK just observed that while installing apps through PC android market there are two options Motorola Xoom and Verizon Motorola Xoom(VMX) for selecting device.
If you choose VMX then in your account it will be shown as VMX
Guys first thing is, did you root your Xoom:
If yes then if you also flashed one of the custom roms it uses a build.prop file from a VZW tablet. This is a text file which has information about your Xoom which is picked up by the market. Thus making the market think your have a VZW Xoom. My Xoom read Wifi Xoom prior to flashing any of the Tiamat roms
Now if no then I have no clue since if its stock your build.prop would read your exact model in the marketplace. Xoom Wifi, VZW Xoom etc....
Just as a side note some people were changing there build.prop files to try and trick the market into thinking they had Netflix compatible devices...
Hope that helps

Hello,
I am going to purchase a nexus 5 off of google play store for $400> I know Verizon doesn't carry this phone but i was wondering if the unlocked one from google play store would work on verizon's network.

Nope. Do not buy this phone and think it will work on Verizon. It is not possible.
Not possible, nexus 5 does not support the corresponding verizon network bands / cellular signal networks.

I think it does, Verizon just refuses to register them on their network. Probably because they can't install their bloatware on it.

They can get data working but not voice - and never will do. It's believed that Google did this on purpose after their handling of an earlier Nexus device, but that's just a supposition on my part.

lte works with verizon and the nexus 5. but our devices nor verizons network can not do voice over lte. so only data works, but no voice connections.
