Just a heads up, CM 9.1 stable was released this morning
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=stable&device=pyramid
its running good!
Is there a change log or a list somewhere that states which bugs have been fixed?

What is changed from 9.0?
you should try opensensation, i think it's built from cyanogenmod 9.1 sources and has a better integration with our sensation.

feels basically the same, going into the app draw feels a bit smoother... it was basically perfect before no major bugs for me
Main concern is has battery life improved ?

Thanks for sharing the link. It looks quite technical but I cant see anything about GPS in there. Although my Google maps no longer reboots, my GPS still doesn't work on demand. Like Google maps won't be able to locate me now that I am at work for example. Also the weather tab on news and weather app doesn't work because it can't locate me.
Is anyone else having similar problems or able to suggest anything for me?
Thanks in advance.

Where is it?
Edit: Oops, nvm found it.
its crazy fast and everything seems to be working.
Tried it briefly. Butter smooth.
Wifi calling didn't work. I depend on it now with the crappy dead zone I am in now.
Also miui. I didn't give it a fair chance never tried miui before. I hope it gets ported beyond miui.
Can't wait for it that's for sure
Wait, is this ICS? lol?

...How did you get that from that post? He said RAM and battery management; neither of those have anything to do with the CPU.

Working terrific so far. Looks absolutely identical to regular miui. Except keyboard which is a tiny bit smaller I believe. Also noticibly faster in general. I do recommend it from my experience so far.
been running ICS build since it's availability and everything has been smooth and stable. it "feels" faster than any other MIUI build i've used, but could just be placebo effect unless ICS' hardware acceleration is really working.
i even had wifi calling working a couple times, but this has not been consistent. sometimes it worked and other times i had the "invalid sim" error.
can't really comment on battery life as i'm still re-calibrating.
the only issue i've run into is a Market FC only when i try to swipe through the screenshots for apps...weird.
other than the issue listed above, this rom has been great and error free for me.
tried it out.... hated the Ui would much prefer weapon x ui with ics improvements and toggles going back to weaponx 2.8.
Been using the ICS build. No crazy real world speeds were felt by me. Only going to keep running this build if the battery life is better than the regular one.
Missing extended power menu. Might be missing gps.config fix & APN fix files in this ICS build.
Looks & feels the same as any other MIUI Whitehawkx has ported over.
Installed just now...works great and benchmarks return 2700+. Also, I was having terrible problems with Youtube before with any other MIUI version (very, very, very, verrrrrry slow loading). Now Youtube is faster to load than when it was with Gingerbread.
THANK YOU Whitehawkx!

I've been having problem with galnet video app. It sends me to the market to download an app. When I tried to install the app it gives me an error. Anyone else has the same problem?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
I had that happen but only because miui considered it a favorite app and wanted you to submit a rating.
That's the only thing I found impressive was the media player, galnet player. I'd love to see it in cm7 or in a market.
Playing with miui on my G2 just to get a feel for it. Would have moved it to g2x but I need T-Mobile wifi to work
@miuiandroid MIUI Android
These ICS framework MIUI ROMs are a disgrace to the name of MIUI, its not official MIUI ICS so really, why bother making such crap kangs?

Just switched to a TBolt from OG Incredible. Was running cm7 on it, and loved it. Just wanted some idea as to the best version of cm7 for Tbolt and any other things to make it run better. Any help would be appreciated. I kinda dont have time to read thru 10000 posts in the cm7 topic...
Welcome.
I don't think you're going to get a ton of help with a first post like that, but you might want to check out the CM7 links from the forum post at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1081930
There are also a couple posts at the top of here and the Q&A subforum about what roms people prefer.
I don't have CM7 on my thunderbolt, but on a different device. In general, CM7 is stable enough such that the recent nightlies, if not the latest, are usually the best. However, currently most of the CM dev work is focused on ICS/CM9.
I just came from dinc last week. I had senae 3.5 on mine, though ive flashed every dinc rom ever available. You may want to try a sense rom, i was shocked how smooth 3.5 mikrunny is on this, and it all works. I will try some aosp roms soon, there is a cool one with ics theme, pretty slick. Just experiment dude, this phone rocks.

If you don't need MMS, I highly recommend MIUI. On the other hand, fully featured and most awesomely completely customizable - Gingeritis 3D. I personally switched from Gingeritis to AOSP recently, better battery life and faster performance but you can't use VZW apps. I'm currently running on Thundershed CM7 nightly and I will probably run this until CM9.

I'm currently running ThunderShed and it's working REALLY well for me. It's a CM7 ROM from a guy called Workshed. It's really good.
If you Google "Thundershed Thunderbolt" you'll find it very easily.

+1 thundershed is ur only option imo. As its the only aosp rom with good incall volume levels. And its super smooth. miui does not have working mms which is a bummer cause i like miui also.
Runnin thundershed now, i also came from dinc. This is the best aosp rom ive ever run.

Curious happenings, as slayher build locates & reconnects great on my device.

did you guys flash his gapps package before you rebooted? I haven't had any issues with location - it actually seems a lot faster and more accurate than the other CM7 build I was using, which was frankly working fine anyway.

You need to go to a Sense based ROM and connect to GPS, then flash (while still connected) to a AOSP ROM to fix GPS permanently.
Also I'm not sure why you're having those WiFi issues; try deleting the WiFi and DHCP folders, I forget where theyre located. I suppose running fix permissions wouldn't hurt, hahaha, I know people hate that response.

So, what you all think of the new release of cm9 by trip over at modaco this morning?
Built from cm source. Few minor bugs still but a damn good effort I say.
The first official launch of an unofficial cm9 rom built from cm source not Google looking forward to seeing a theme engine for more customisation.
B003 released which is apparently a lot more stable. What's your feedback?
Any views on ICS MiUI??
Remember to stay on topic. No direct insults. No direct links and no being nosey or *****y.......just share you feedback
If some one would like to make a what works what doesn't/bug list I can update op and keep updated.

From what I've read, the biggest downside is that gapps don't proper functionally. This thread will probably be closed btw.
What do you think of it?
It's great. it's faster than any of the others. there are a few issues but i havent played with it much. its midnight where i live. the issue with gapps is that people were flashing the gapps for a rom built from aosp instead of cm. CM gapps works.
Probably will, getting less like a community everyday, I say no more!!
I think it works well, gapps does work but the right package specific to base must be flashed. I think for a beta its a strong Rom. Be nice to see the official launch mind you

Also wifi works dude the patch to flash straight after is in the op.
I love the rom . More stable than other builds and its cm.

There is no more progress then his previous rom and virtious rom so really doesn't matter at this point
Although the rom is less advanced than what we have here, it is the first rom we have built from Cyanogenmod's source. Not from Google (AOSP), not a Senseless rom, but CM's source. That's kinda cool.

Is there anyway to make it scroll further so that it feels lighter? Hope this makes sense its hard to describe what I mean.

Infinite scroll is for the Rosie, makes it so it keeps going in a cycle.
Does anyone know how to improve this? When I say increase scrolling distance, I mean so the scrolling is kinda like iOS... I'm not saying I want iOS but I do like the scrolling.

I get what you mean. I've tried CM9 before and I get that same experience when flicking pages up and down...it felt kinda heavy and not smooth. That's why I reverted back to HyperNonSense in order to enjoy this smooth flicking experience. However some claim that by putting these parameters into the /system/build.prop of CM9 and reboot helps:
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=240
ro.min.fling_velocity=8000
to.max.fling_velocity=12000
You may wanna give it a shot and see if that helps.

I'm using the nightly from 8/15 and it takes GREAT pictures. I'm trying to decide if its better than the original software that came stock on the phone. I've been really happy with this camera and was hoping that CM wouldn't change it at all.
I have an example picture but I haven't posted enough yet to post up the link
