Samsung Omnia I8350, os ...8773. Jailbreak or unlock
Hi Mikaelel,
Nice response! I am looking at the XDA site for several months because I also have a Samsung W with WP OS 8773 preinstalled. (model - SAMSUNG GT-I8350, os 7.10.8773.98, h rev 23.15.0.8, software radio 2424.12.1)
After reading your answer and read all the links suggested by you (actually I had already read), I wanted specifically subscribe to the forum to ask you where, in the above link, is it explained how to unlock the phone with OS 8107, or how downgrade it to 7740 SO firmware??
link 1. The WindowBreak Project - not work with 8107
link 2. WP7 Root Tools - not work because it needs Interop Unlocked
link 3. XapHandler - not work because it needs WP7 Root Tools
link 4. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1637222 - link doesn't work
link 5. Bazaar for Windows Phone - ???
So I'd like to know (and I think all who have a samsung with so 8107 forward), if there is a way to do jailbreak or unlock.
Or, if you think we can at least try a downgrade, can you suggest where to find the old firmware version like 7740?
I read that there are a number of Cooking Rom (ultrashot or mwang) for Omnia7. Nothing for Omnia W?
Thanks.

I've posted at least about 10 times on this same question. It is NOT possable to roll back to pre-Nodo on a Verizon CDMA Windows Phone 7 model (VZW Trophy or Sprint Arrive).
NoDo was REQUIRED to support CDMA, so if you could roll back, your phone would not work. There is no driver or rom to get back.
If you want to unlock a Verizon Trophy, your only method is to do a developer unlock. spend some time seaching on here, you will find how to create a App Hub account and if you have a .edu email account, it could be free.
Good luck, I had to go through the same thing...
A little searching on this site would of given you all the info on this subject...

[Q] New on WP7 (Jailbreak/HSPL/RSPL)

Hey Guys,
Since yesterday I´am having my own HTC 7 Pro T7576 but I have there some questions about Jailbreaking it or/and install HSPL/RSPL.
1. Question:
- Can I install HSPL/RSPL and are there custom roms for my phone?
2. Question:
- Am I able to jailbreak my device it´s on 7.0.7392.0
3. Question:
- If i can´t jailbreak with 7.0.7392.0 how can I downgrade my phone to jailbreak it on an older version of WP7?
why don't you go to the thread and see whether it's compatible with your phone, there's alot of custom rom in the thread.

1. This might help you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
I haven't got a HTC device but after reading the whole post you should know how it works And about custom ROMs: Not sure. But you can look into the device specific forum here on xda-developers - maybe you'll find something there
2. Yes you are. But you'll have to downgrade.
3. To do so you need an older ROM file for your phone (<- which doesn't contain NoDo.. 7008 or earlier). Then you can jailbreak, prevent your phone from relock and update to NoDo.

Please go to "HTC 7 Trophy" session and find the corresponding 7004 ROM which matches your Radio version and mobile suppliers to flash your device.
If no matched ROMs, then it's the same as Dell Venue Pro with NoDo preloaded.

With the name "The Heat" I assume your from the US.
If your talking the Verizon Trophy, you CAN NOT roll back to Pre-NoDo. NoDO was requred to support CDMA (Vzw Trophy and Sprint Arrive are both CDMA based phones)
Your only Method to to unlock a CDMA based WP7 device is to go the Dev unlock method. Spend some time looking, you need to get a developer account with MS and get a Unlock from them. If you have a .edu account, it could be free.
Chevron WILL NOT WORK ON CDMA PHONES.
This question is asked almost every day, 10 seconds in search would of found this answer. Also spend some time searching, getting a dev account is a little work but, it's not that hard to do.
Little bit more info
You assumed wrong, i live in Europe, Finland. So no verizon/vodafone. Im a little bit new to wp7 devices so could you link/pm me the correct rom and tell me how to flash it? Sorry for being noob and posting to wrong section
So is it possible to flash custom rom to non-unlocked phone?

I suggest you follow this guide. It's for Focus but the steps are identical.
I'm astounded that people keep trying to use the original ChevronWP7 Unlocker tool. It hasn't worked since NoDo, about a year ago. To make it work on a gen1 phone, you must install a *very* old ROM. The crazy thing is, this was quite well documented, yet people keep trying...

[Q] Samsung Omnia 7 downgrade WITHOUT a backup?

Hi guys,
I have done a manual update from a dev unlocked 7712 fw version to Mango and everything seemed gone fine. Until I have changed international settings I can upload my apps but after that the deployment app says the device is dev locked! I don't if the international settings change is correlated but now I really need to come back to an unlocked developer version but I don't know how to because the PC used to upgrade is no more working (HD crashing). Please help me. Thanks
You can reflash a factory ROM to your phone to downgrade (in the dev & hacking forum) or perhaps a better option would be to update your phone fully and use the new chevron unlock for $9.00 per device forever.
I've tried following the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311682 thread twice without success. I've used TMU - T-Mobile United Kingdom from Samsung Omnia 7 Firmware XXJJ6 ALL PROVIDERS and a retail version with any luck. I wasn't able to reply to that thread because I'm a junior member but that method doesn't work! Thanks for your help anyway
