HORN - Excellent action/rpg adventure game for iOS, iPad and Android. Need support XP - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

After the great Alaron HD, Horn arrives.
HORN is a 3rd person action adventure game - a completely unique experience where anyone can fully explore and enjoy a beautiful and engaging console-style world, all controllable by touch gestures.
You play as a young blacksmith's apprentice named Horn who wakes up to find your village and lands over run by large fantastic, and sometimes humorous, monsters. It is revealed these creatures are actually the people and animals from your village transformed by a curse, and you alone have the power to free them. On your incredible adventure you carry the loud-mouthed head of one such fantastic creature with you - a somewhat uncooperative and ill-tempered but grudgingly helpful sidekick. Along with this new companion you must use your sword, crossbow, trusty musical horn, and wits to explore the lands, defeat the enemies, and solve puzzles in your quest to undo the curse that engulfs your homeland.
Horn features:
∗ Accessible controls that anyone can use- walking, jumping, crawling, even grapple hook, are all performed with intuitive gestures
∗ Freely navigable console-quality detailed world- go wherever you want; not confined to limited path or rail
∗ A rich and unique fantasy world
∗ Touch-friendly melee combat and crossbow style weapons
∗ 3 unique and beautiful lands to discover
∗ Endlessly escalating challenge modes
∗ Hidden side content to discover
∗ Score written by award winning Austin Wintory and performed with full live orchestral
Coming to Android for Tegra devices.

Not the date "Horn" come to Android, but if so, we should be asking developers to optimize it for our Xperia Play from now. If you find any information or sending email to get our email, put it in this post.

P.d: It is like putting the video for "youtube" to make it look right. If someone tells me I put.

ME WANT THIS.
Wysyłane z mojego R800i za pomocą Tapatalk 2

No offence, but i doubt this would come to the Xperia play. It uses unreal engine as far as i know and the studios other game, Dark meadows, was only available for tegra devices.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app

Yes, that's possible. But there are games Tegra running perfectly in Xperia Play remember like Samuray II Vengeance, SoulCraft and others games. I have hope that optimize this game, but if you do not optimize your pad to use, perhaps using Chainfire3D...
Works on iPhone4. As AralonHD, which later adapted to Android and works wonders on Xperia Play.
Hopefully more news to see what happens. :fingers-crossed:

Sorry TC it will not get optimized. Nvidia paid big money to make it Tegra exclusive. Same situation with Dark Meadow. The devs could make it for all android devices if they wanted , but they like how closed the Tegra chip is (like iOS) and since Nvidia is giving them money , they feel its the safest for them.
They dont want to work with every type of Android chipset.

Horn isn't tegra exclusive is it? I thought it was just coming first to tegra then later on other android devices?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app

I dont know about Horn exactly , but i really wanted to play Dark Meadows and sent them many emails. They answered and stated that its not that they are "exclusive" its more like its not financially viable for them , as a small company , to support many android chipsets. With Tegra , Nvidia gave them money and the chipset itself is a "safe" investment for them.

For it is a shame, then I will mourn ....
Try running it with Chainfire3D ...

This doesn't even work on my 4th gen iPod Touch, so I highly doubt it'll work on the Xperia Play

Guys look at the grafics and stay realstic. This is way better then dungeon defenders wich was not smooth on the play. If this comes to the play than with dramatic downscaled grafics.
Sent from my MT27i using xda app-developers app

But everything depends on optimizing Android. Recently we have the "Heroes Call" Initially, this action game and RPG appeared on the "Google Play Store" exclusively for mobile phones with more powerful processors (Tegra 2 and 3), but with the promise that they would be available for all other models before the end of the summer. And it seems that its developers have word, because here we have the latest update, suitable for any Android ..
Those are the examples that make me think positively.

Bad news, is not supported. That is to put Tegra 2 and 3. Heroes do as I wish with Call and pick it out for others as Android. What a shame.

The only gamer phone and these news games are just for those non-gamer phones its funny.

I have a question. HORN that this game does not require android 3.2 onwards? ie. even though I do not tegra optimizen smartphone .. We could not play our Xperia Play with Gingerbread ..
I know that there is a nearly perfect ICS rom is the Unofficial release .. but does not support so many other games, or is one or the other .
---------- Post added at 07:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:17 AM ----------
but also another user who joins the petition. I've already sent an email to developers. I hope it becomes bigger every time the request and listen to us.
It would be great to get to these levels of graphics and to play games with the Unreal Engine in our Xplay ..

has anyone tried this game with gamekeyboard?

The game is incompatible with the Xperia play

If you haven't seen it yet, Further Beyond Fighting is now officially Xperia PLAY Optimized.
I remember playing this on iOS... and it was kind of a wreck... kinda >_>.
Looking at the reviews on both the iOS and Android versions, it's clear that "touch-screen" and "fighting game" just don't belong in the same sentence... this game got rated a lot lower than it deserves just from that.
Swapping between touch and physical controls, it's a MASSIVE difference.
Now it's all smooth-as-butter performance, WITH controls that respond

Think I'll still to Tekken 3 on PSXperia
Looks almightily pants..that game.
there is street figter on IOS...gawdddd i want it so bad on ANDROmeda.
Graphics is great, but the gameplay is not that good.. There's no spectacular combo, I can't jump either.. there's also a random lag on my phone..

I had Street Fighter IV Volt on my 4th Gen iPod Touch... Capcom did alright with the limitations they had to work with, but compared to buttons it still sucked ass.
I'm hoping Capcom will release SFIV Volt on Xperia PLAY too so I can play it for real.
has very bad reviews.. bruce lee is even better despite its insane difficulty.. (just the memorize-all-combos part though)

Of course it does... people been playing it with horrible touch-controls.
Lol if I had to play a fighter with touch-controls, I'd give it a very bad rating too. It's not perfect, of course, but after playing with touch controls then getting a substantially more responsive experience on Xperia PLAY, this feels like a brand new game. This is why Xperia PLAY kicks every other smartphone's ass at gaming.
Bad reviews because of it being poorly polished, that is. Judging from the game's screenies and video, it looks mediocre. Half-cooked. That's why.
I'm kinda addicted now.. I just love fighting games.. Eventhough I can't jump, no touch pad support, no good combo, only few characters.. but i'm sure this will not take that long because of those issues..

I doubt anything will beat Tekken 3 to be honest.
This doesn't look good at all.
No, this game looks terrible. I mean if this game had better gameplay and graphics then it would be worth it. It seems like a bad game from a fly by night vaporware dev. No offense to anyone who enjoys this game.
Exactly. Nailed it.
Hey There!
Hi Guys, it's us from PJS-Coding - developers of Further Beyond Fighting!
First: Thank you TLRtheory for this thread. We're glad you're all discussing our game.
Regarding all your feedback: We plan to implement new combo moves shortly.
New moves are a top priority for one of the next updates. And if you have any feedback and features you want us to implement, just drop us a mail: support.android(AT)further-beyond-fighting(DOT)com
We're available 365 days a year and respect all the feedback we get. TLRtheory can confirm that; he was one of the persons who asked us to add Xperia PLAY support. And now it's here!
Stay in touch!
Now that's what I like to see from a dev.
I think its great that you are listening and participating through the Xda community. I wonder is or was there ever a demo release of the title? It seems that a round or two of the game would open the flood gates for areas of oppurtunites.

IMO a demo would be a better idea than a "free to play" version, I tend to stay away from free to play games or free games with in app purchases. As these tend to alway run in the background, and flood your notification bar with "special offers" Gun bros by glu is a prime example of this
I really loved playing Gun Bros but uninstalled for that very reason.

Soulcraft Beta

Hi Guys,
Just a heads up that a very good game called Soulcraft is in Beta and taking suggestions of what they can add or improve.
The game can be downloaded here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mobilebits.soulcraftdefault
The feedback form is here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dERBYkpRWFBlTi1zR3Z5dWVtTVhzT0E6MQ
If we all fill out the form requesting Xperia Play support is added, the developers will hopefully do it. I have completed it this morning.
This is a great chance to influence a good developer to add Xperia Play support to this, and likely all his future titles as well.
I will 'Thank' anyone who completes as you are helping the whole community!
Done... with extraordinary emphasis on Xperia Play Gamepad support
I thought this has been going for a few months already (?)
Not to discourage anyone, but I found the gameplay extremely boring.
The visuals are nice though.
If I am not mistaken.. I think this game is one of those that need Tegra II processors. I just got this on my Dell Streak 7, cause it was a new tegra game for me to get.
No, this game has a tegra version and a non-tegra version on the google play.

No surprise here, this was the reply to my email.
"Thank you for your interest in Avadon: The Black Fortress. Avadon is designed for tablets with screens at least 6.5" large and minimum 950px by 550px resolution, and currently there are no Xperia devices (that we know of) which fit these requirements. If an Xperia tablet is released and we receive further user requests to support Xperia controls, we'll consider implementing this feature. At this time there are no plans to do so, however"
Thanks again!

The Apportable Team
I have the game for my Transformer Prime and the text would be too small to display on lower res screens.
To add support they would have to re-design large portions of the game...
The game is really well made, though. I would have loved to be able to play it on my Play.

Because it was the "flagship" phone for this service. It IS a supported phone, they still show it on their website and produce and sell them new. I see no reason they won't support the Play, its not like it will have a hard time playing these mini games and we already know it plays PSOne titles no problem.

None of the articles mention the PLAY, nor do any of the pictures show it. I would be very surprised if this will support the PLAY.
Think about it. No other "playstation certified" device has a physical gamepad or is likely to. It seems very unlikely to me that Sony will require developers spend additional time for just one device with a questionable sales record, and to which a successor is looking increasingly unlikely.
This doesn't bother me too much, seeing as most of the two-bit games showcased look mediocre at best, and I question the likely success of such a programme anyway. See, other than further fragmentation and the proprietary nature of a closed platform, what benefit does a developer have to jump ship to Sony mobile programme and not just focus their efforts on the already established and hugely popular Google Play store?
What does bother me however is the discontinuing of the PSOne classics to coincide with the launch of PS Mobile. Should I be right in assuming us PLAY users won't be invited to the party, discontinuing future updates to something we already have access to is just a further slap in the face...

The Play will work as the PS Certified SDK allows the game to work with a consistent set of controls, screen or physical (basically any PS cert game will always work on the Play). There is no additional programming needed.
Also there is another announcement with a full press release and the Play is included.

Most likely not, but maybe a developer can port the first Call of Duty, it runs on a heavily modified version of the Quake 3 engine, which is already availiable for the Play called Zeus Arena, spec requirements are about the same anyway. You wouldn't be able to just place the COD PAK files, I don't think there are any anyway. Just hope from here. Check Doom 3 for Android, that's on it's way!
