Hello,
is anybody out there using battery cover from ebay ?
One year ago (after month of using) i damaged mine battery cover (broke one pin off). Instantly ordered one like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-OEM-Bac...esire-S-S510e-G12-/270796309416#ht_3686wt_906
But when arrived i noticed minor differences
- the antenna is not glued, but clicked in
- no yellow text like on original
- the color is very slightly (very difficult to see) different
This is different seller, but that time ago, there was photo of original cover, but arrived one like this.
I put it in shelf and never used more.
Is it safe to use ?
I have measured antenna with ohmeter (same resistance as original), no signal dropouts, fits perfectly, no squeaking sounds.. However, im affraid, that it can damage my phone.
Does anybody use it, is it safe ?

Just got this one, fits and works great. As described, my item looks genuine upon inspection.
The worse thing that could happens according to me is that you would have a poorer reception in case the antenna is bad which would ceprobably drain your battery faster. Can anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi all,
I have the following isue: after I gave my qtek 8310 to my sister, it seems the back cover is somewhat broken or malformed because I cannot close it. My sister told me she hasn't done anything but it is possible she forced the back cover in some way. When I try closing the back cover, it doesn't fit well to the phone's body and doesn't make a click sound as usual. As a result it cannot be attached to the phone's body and fully closed. This happens even when there is no battery installed.
Visually I cannot see anything broken and the plastic seems OK. There are no obvious malformations.
Has anyone had such similar issue? Maybe I have to buy a new cover, however I haven't found any website to purchase spare parts for the qtek 8310.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
yo! post here snapshots of the "unshut" back cover so that we may see how can we help ya
10x for the reply.
I will make the shots tonight with my camera and post the links.
even if u dont post, i suspect that either of these slots of ur cell phone are blocked:

Same problem
Hi, I have got the same problem. I have found, the back cover get broken because the battery was old and become "bigger" (got inflated by gas produced in battery by chemical reaction). I have changed the battery, but have not found way to repair the back cover. Maybe just use some hot temperature...
Got the same problem here: seems like the battery has curved (!) it has got a slight bump...
the battery doesn't fit properly anymore - same with the back-cover!
Also my battery drain is quite high... well, it's an 3 year old tornado
on the grey cover, inside, theres the 2 clips, one of them was bent downwards touching the surface, and thus i couldnt slide the cover on without it lopsided or loose. I just lifted the clip a little and fixed it. Be careful its like cheap plastic, felt like it would break easily

Hi again, it seems my problem was exactly the same like lmf's. I just lifted the clips and now the cover fits and slides correctly.
Thank you very much 'dark_prince' for the picture and advice and 'lmf' for further tips. Now I have a happy working tornado with a back cover If we ever meet in real life I owe you many, many beers
Lol that strange maybe you cellphone is pregnet by a noki or a sonyerricson
Hey, getting a T-Mobile G2 soon and am looking on eBay for a case.
One thing I've noticed with the original HTC hard shell case and the Case-Mate Barely There case is that there's a little hole above the loudspeaker slit, while the cheapo $2 cases etc don't.
I can't seem to find a corresponding hole/port on the phone itself (just based on pictures off reviews, don't actually have the phone in my hand yet).
Normally I'd just get the official case but it's OOS everywhere I've looked. Probably going to go with the Case-Mate Barely There but I'd like to just save a few bucks with a cheap generic case, though if this will affect some noise-cancelling system or something I'll go for the casemate.
What is that hole/port?

Also have one more question: is the beveled edge existent on the generic ebay cases, and will that severely affect the usability of the keyboard? If it does affect the kb then the case-mate it is
Thanks
Let me rephrase the question then- does anyone's G2/DZ actually have a hole/port in that area?
Sent from my GT-I9100
Desire Z here and same as the pic you showed - no hole there.
EDIT: Never been a fan of the hard shell cases but i tried one of the cheap ones on ebay as well. Does not effect typing at all but when ur lying down with the phone above you, the added weight can cause the top half to fold down...
The hole is there for the internal wifi/data antenna if you will...If you have the phone connected to wifi and place your finger on your phone where the hole would be on the case connectivity goes down. I have a TMO hard shell case and it has a hole as well.

Thanks for the reply.
iirc the hinge falling was an issue with earlier devices- does the phone do that without the case on? I can't imagine a top half weighing just several grams doing that... but maybe that's because of the hinge's design?

Intriguing. The antenna being so concentrated on such a small area seems quite odd, but that's one of the only plausible explanations.
Either way I sprung for the Case-Mate Barely There That has the hole so no worries.
Does anyone know where can I find a genuine HTC Sensation back cover? I've scoured across amazon, ebay and such online shops, but most of the covers sold are not genuine and some just have photos of the real deal but sell fake ones(not necesserily bad ones). Both new and used would be fine, as long as it's in good condition. If anyone has any experience with this matter, any input will be greatly appreciated. I need this original housing because mine has some cosmetic damage...

I got a new one from a seller on Amazon for $12 half a year ago.
Someone is practically giving them away on eBay. I haven't bought one from him myself, but he's using the OEM part number. I don't see any reason to suspect they are not OEM, but I can't say for certain.

Their back covers are genuine, I already bought one
Genuine, AND from Hong Kong? The two don't normally go hand in hand in my experience...

Does anyone have any actual experience using a sensation case that does not have the copper connector to the left of the speaker? All the pictures I found, like the one below, show every connector except that specific one beside the speaker and I don't want to commit to one if it's going to reduce my signal quality.
Missing connector to the left of the speaker

i think the best way to answer your question is to look at your phone and see if the indented area where the part your wondering about is supposed to insert into, and see if there are gold plates inside. mine doesnt have it so it doesnt matter which type i use (i have 2 different covers, one thats gold and one that black, i get the same signal either way). if yours does, then you better find a cover that is gold in that area
Three weeks with the Galaxy s4 7500mah battery and I almost felt like it was a wrong decision purchasing this product despite the days of battery it offered; courtesy of my phone losing signal every 50secs.
After a lot of test and failure including wrapping the battery with aluminium foil lol, I finally found a solution. What option did I have? at least it solved the problem that gave me headache.
The problem with Phones rocking Zero lemon accessories loosing signal lies mainly in the TPU CASE.
If you take the case off with only the battery left, everything works just fine. But bring back the TPU CASE and you are back to stone age.
Straight to the point; I overcame this issue by
1. Removed the TPU CASE and battery to expose the back of the phone
2. Located the phones antenna. Which lies in pair to the right and left of flash light.
3. Measured the distance of the antenna from the flash light to the end of the antenna which is about 2cm from the flash light to the end of the antenna on both sides of the flash light.

}
4. I now transferred the measurement using a ruler and a pen to the back of the TPU case.
5. Starting from the hole provided for the flash light,With a RAZOR I cut a rectangular shape out of the case.
6. With the flashlight hole as the reference point and center, I cut a tangent 2m above and below the flashlight hole to it right and left respectively to expose the two antennas.
7. A vertical height of 0.5cm for the rectangle and 4cm for it horizontal length. Giving 2cm to each sides of the flash light hole.
This pretty much solved my signal lose. I Hope it solves yours for you too.
Can you post pics of the cut on the actual case? Thanks

Sorry for the poor image quality on the second photo. Used Webcam as the phone had to go into the case.
@NDELEON thanks for the pics
so tpu cases in general are teh suck for reception?
I never had any loss of signal with mine? :s and I used the exact same 7500 zero lemon tpu case. Strange!
I have a Nexus 5 that has run fantastic until just after the lollipop update. I began to think that somehow this update was responsible for several issues, one of them that the Qi charging had stopped working.
I read through all the threads on Qi charging.
Different chargers
Different USB cables
Different Wall Warts
People who had removed the cover, not getting it back on right.
Pressing to snap the cover contacts back into engagement.
None of it helped, that is until I decided the other night to push down on the whole phone while it was on the charger. I had to press pretty hard, but it would charge.
I noticed, that when I did this, it squeaked in the middle along the edge where the power button is, and there was a small gap between the case and body (not big enough for a finger nail to fit).
First I called Google today to see what they had to say. I got the "It's out of warranty. No idea what's wrong. Call LG".
So since it's not under warranty and they had no clue, I pulled the back cover. I expected a broken clip, bulged battery, something. I couldn't find anything that would press out on the case, and all the clips looked intact. (Pictures in a later post, don't have another phone / camera at the moment.)
I put it back together, made sure the clips were all lined up and snapped home properly. Same gap, same squeak when I squeeze the middle edge below the power button.
If I ONLY squeeze this portion together though, it doesn't seem to fix the Qi charging issue. I have to push down on the whole phone.
Looking for your input. I see Amazon has the back covers in stock. But I don't want to buy one just to find out that it's the battery. (I know, not much help without pictures. I'll get them posted tonight).
Thanks!
-Matt
If it is buldging it is probably the battery. I'd replace that.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
I didn't think it was bulging, but I have two of these, and I can feel the thing through the cover on this one.
So... where's the best source for a new battery?

When my battery looked like your' s it had only about 1300 mah instead of 2200
So good luck :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
