The OP states that a lot of users had trouble flashing when the sd card was left in.
When you reflashed, did you do a wipe first?
I'd hate to see you miss out on this great rom.

I have also just flashed paranoid im not able to get any connection speed faster then edge network when i live in 4g area. I have gone back to stock and i get 4g but with paranoid i either get edge network with the wap.cingular apn or if i try the lte apn i get nothing. Any idea?

Running the 8/25 build of PA as of today.
(Been running every PA build since Scott's port of it for ICS.)
APN settings show up perfectly as they always have.
Did you wipe wrong?
Or maybe restore something bad with something like Titanium Backup?

[Q] Lost data and signal? HELP PLEASE.

I rooted and unlocked my phone and everything worked fine. However after I flashed a new ROM, I lost all data and signal. I have tried everything I can think of and even restored it back to factory but still nothing. I use this for work so I am really stuck. Can anyone offer ideas? Thank you very much.

if your phone boots up and you just don't have data, but have your IMEI, then do the following:
system settings >more >Mobile networks >network mode: make sure you are on LTE/CDMA/EvDo
then: CDMA Subscription and make sure you are on RUIM/SIM
then reboot, clear cache and dalvik cache and reboot. has been known to fix this problem in other phones showing same problem.

Nope. CM 10-10.1 bases.
I downloaded and installed the route66 tar you sent the link for but it still has no phone or data. It does now show "access point names" under the mobile data settings which I had not noticed before. Is it hopeless?

FYI, I had the same problem earlier today, well yesterday... I ended up reinstalling a AOSP 4.2 ROM, setting the correct settings in the Mobile Network options then flashed a new 4.1 based ROM and the settings held and all was working properly... My problem was coming from Liquid Smooth to a different ROM... The AOSP flash and correct settings fixed everything with no use of Odin...

No signal

I just flashed CleanROM on my S3, and now I have no signal, and when I do I cant make or receive calls or anything.
I flashed it on my brothers phone before doing it to mine a day before, and his works wonderfully. Should I just give the phone a day? If so, and it doesn't work by tomorrow should I simply flash a new radio or reflash CleanROM?
Check under settings> more settings> mobile networks. You should be set to global setting. If it already is set that way, switch to gsm of CDMA and the switch back to global. That should do it. And obviously make sure your not in airplane mode, sync is on, mobile data enabled, ect.

Well first your going to have to Odin back to the 4.0.4 stock G1 http://goo.im/devs/invisiblek/i535/C...w_ship.tar.zip
Then follow this following guide

You do have to re provision on the G1 4.0.5 as it this one only has the menu.
After all is good please you back up your imei just in case something goes wrong again a d to your friend to whoever you flashed the cleanrom for, back theirs up as well.

Of course not. Go figure. I backed up the phone I did it on originally, and didn't need to. Decided the process went so smoothly I wouldn't worry about backing this other phone up, and what do you know I should have. Just my luck. Anyway, I'll try to follow the directions IMEI repair tool. Hopefully this will go smoothly.

I got the IMEI back using the first link without reverting back to anything. However, so far I still have no signal. I guess I have to revert then? The reason I didn't convert is because I found the tool before reading your reply and it didn't mention anything about reverting.

Way ahead of you. Got it backed up with 4.0.4. Thanks for your help and patience man. You get a thanks from me.
Also, I think it should be noted for everyone else that after flashing back to stock 4.0.4, you can save yourself a lot of drama by using that code. Also, you do get stuck into a boot loop when reverting back(I and many others did that I read), simply boot into recovery(yes stock recovery) and do a full wipe. This is probably mentioned somewhere though.

im having issues trying to get a data connection with this rom. it prompts to set up wifi for anything internet related. mobile data is enabled.
Ok, so i have followed the instructions exactly to install it on both the older build and the newer build, but I get stuck on the bootlogo.
I have tried installing on both system 1 and 3 multiple times, sometimes with gapps in the same session, sometimes I have tried to wait until after the first boot, but either way I get into an endless bootlogo. I've tried repairing permissions after flashing a few times. I've even tried flashing the BMM patches, even though this is made for BMM. I'm just not sure what the problem could be. My phone is one of the black-screen-on-kexec-install phones, but this does not use kexec, so that shouldn't have anything to do with it.
Anyone have any additional ideas or insight that might help?

Have you set up your APN yet?
You need that to be set up to let your phone know how to connect to your carrier's data, but they usually are not included in custom ROMs.
search for "android apn settings" or just "apn settings" to get instructions on how to do that (sorry, I can't post links yet).

Afterwards what I did was flash my Omni rom again and the apn networks was still there... So if anyone has a problem apn try this... Thanks...

Straight Talk APN Settings??

Hi everyone, Im hoping someone knows the apn settings for our S3. Ive tried going to Straight Talk's website to the get apns that way and it just gives me an error saying that if i am using a sprint of cdma phone then i dont have to update my APN. one problem with that. theres no APNs in the list at all. My s3 was running 4.1.2, but i have recently rooted it and flashed Gummy 4.4.4 to it. still a locked bootloader though. any ideas or help with the APN will def be appreciated
You'll need to use a third party messaging app and enter the APN info in the apps settings. I work recommend 8sms for a close to stock experience. In the MMSC section of the APN settings you'll need to enter "http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms" without quotes.

I have the SCH-S968C, the Samsung S3 for Straight Talk. and your pastebin link helps but i downloaded the apn backup and restore application and tried that but an error popped up saying that it was supported with Android 4.0+.
I lost data the first time I flashed CM and the only way I could get data back was by restoring from an unbrick image. Have you tried going back to stock? There are directions on another XDA thread on how to use APN backup and restore with Kit Kat roms but the APN settings don't seem to take on this phone.

I dont want to go back to stock is the thing lol is it all KK roms? ive only tried flashing the Gummy 4.4.4 and ive been using it. I tried to flash PACman rom but it boot looped my phone to the point i had to restore using Verizon's Update and restore program.
I am currently on stock but have successfully flashed CM, Pacman, PA and SlimKat. When I first lost data I restored to stock which restored data and the next time I flashed a KitKat ROM it worked fine.
