I see this process running often and there doesn't seem to be much info out there about what it is. Just curious...

I've seen it in threads that the "I/O" is a problem on the tf700.
What does that mean? I don't know what it is :silly:

To add just a bit of context to the rather unfriendly and a bit too concise a reply above, the TF700 -- as all other Transformer edition tablets -- suffer from lags and hangups when a disk-intensive task is run concurrently with some other task (for example when installing or updating an app in the background and browsing the web or watching a (high-resolution) video at the same time) or when transferring large amounts of data to or from both internal and external memory (like that video you wanted watch while letting your apps update in the background ). Note that the term 'disk-intensive' is a relative one, since it also happens with operations so limited that it is hard to believe the hardware would be overwhelmed to any significant degree.
I was able to see this easily last night installing large apps and try to use the play st ore while downloading. Never had this on my og transformer.
Otherwise this is a beautiful tablet
MartyHulskemper nails the description, so I am listing some specific examples.
1. Installing applications stalls other action/task
Presumably, installing application actively access your flash drive and this basically freezes your system temporary even it is non-intensive application such as simply non-flash based site browsing.
2. Downloading large file stalls other action/task
Just as #1, but again this is writing/accessing your flash drive.
3. Copy/Write from PC to Tablet by USB
Small files flies. Big files inconsistently but relatively frequently stops/freezes. Presumably some sort of issue from writing to flash disk.
4. Slower PDF opening (I am speculating this)
Compared to my former system, which was dual core, opening large PDF is much slower and almost consistently gives me "No response" Error. This I am blaming on the reading from flash drive is somehow the issue.
So You will encounter the problems here and there as I/O is pretty much used everywhere.
Hi guys,
Is there a way to mount the SD card of my HTC Wildfire on the TF300 (just like in Windows environment)?
Surely you could just take it out of your phone and put it in?

Thanks for that, captain obvious.
Can someone answer my question please?
Sorry, but i thought that would help

Would you mind explaining why you want to do this? Because if you just want to browse the files without having to receive the SD card, there are apps for that

Wifi File Explorer works for me (I use pro version). Run it on the unit you wish to access and use a web browser on the unit you wish to access with (obviously this assumes both are connected to the same wifi router).
There are other ways but this is the one I use because I can access from MAC and Ubuntu over wifi as well; In other words any thing on same wifi router that includes a web browser.
Currently I am accessing mt tf300 from a nook tablet with this method.

Well I basically want to browse files on my phone through the tablet and compare/sync files manually between the two devices. Also, I'm just really curious as to why this feature doesn't exist (unless I'm doing wrong).

I used to use File Expert which is really similar to File Explorer, but the issue is: I don't always have Wi-Fi access. So I really just need to mount the SD card via the USB cable (just like with the PC).
Bump.
I wanted to rid my vzw gs3 of the biggest memory hog and an item I consider bloatware; "playstore." The problem is I can't find it in TitaniumBackupPro. This isn't the only app or widget I haven't been able to trace. There should be an app or add-on to T-back-Pro that provides a path for the app names. Ideally a rom-kernel would provide these data on the screens. Under the app gif instead of "fduckthis" it would read, "com.provider.fduckthisapp_getridofit 1.9" Does anyone know of such?

Hello
I have a HTC One x and an Asus infinty tf700. I want to transfer files from my Hox to the tf700 without using Bluetooth as it takes ages.. I thought I could just plug in the Hox into the tf700 and off I go.. but Noo .... Lol. I have tried WiFi file transfer and fast file transfer. Still no luck. Any thought
Thank You

Hi There,
I do almost exactly that on a regular basis, only with TF700 and HOX+. Install and configure WebDAV server on your TF700T,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.icecoldapps.webdavserverultimate
Just need to set up the right IP address on your wifi network. Then use ES File Explorer (or similar) on your phone to access all of the files on your tablet. You will be able to move, copy and even stream from your tablet (Including any files on an external hard drive connected to the tablet) directly to your phone. You just need to set up an FTP connection to your tablets WebDAV server you have started using the IP address etc.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
You ideally would be on the same wifi network, but you can in fact set it up for wifi hotspot as well if no router is available. All the settings are remembered so you just need to start and stop the WebDAV server as you need and ensure that the wifi on your phone/tablet doesn't go to sleep. I wouldn't advise keeping the webdav server running all the time as this will possibly be a battery drain.
I can get anywhere up to around 5MB/sec transfer speed and it's pretty stable and reliable. You don't need root or anything to use the above method either. I'm pretty sure I have streamed full HD from hard disk, via tablet to my phone no problems. (with phone MHL HDMI in to my TV... just because I can!) but would normally just use tablet HDMI of course. I find it very useful to sync photos and important files.
To go one stage further you can use webdav file manager to set up auto sync, sync on schedule etc as well.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.ddo.shigadroid.webdavfilemanager
I use that to sync my picture folders.
Hope that helps as it took me a long time to find the right combination of programmes to make it work properly! I wish I could just plug my phone into the usb port and transfer that way as the speed is much better for large files over a gig or so.
Cheers for the reply.
I installed webdav server and setup a server and I can't seem to find it through es file explorer.. I can see my PC IPs but not my other android device.
I tried accessing my HOX from my TF700 after setting the Webdav server on my HOX and I couldnt see it at all through ES.
I then tried it in reverse. I could see my TF700 ip through ES but when I would try connecting to it, it would just fail.
Am I missing something...
Thank You

I wish I could check and post screen shots but my TF700 is away for RMA repair.
Just double check the IP of the sever you have started and the port are both matched. I don't think there is much to the settings on WebDav. Do you have a firewall that would be blocking the port from being open?
Ill try to put webdav on my phone and double check the settings from memory tonight. As soon as I get my tab back ill confirm for you if you havenr already figured it out.
John
P.s. don't forget the thanks button! :fingers-crossed::angel::angel:

Superbean uses Wifi direct and you can get high transfer speed between two Wifi direct devices.
If your computer isn't Wifi direct computer (most likely no) you can use AirDroid which has great user interface.

I was having some strange issues with a Motorola Z2 Force Verizon model. So when I was looking in the file manager I stumbled upon a category labeled Mqtt_Connection . When I clicked on the tab there were a lot of audio files I was unable to access any of them from my device. I have a small amount of knowledge with android phones and trying to learn more. Can anyone tell me how I got this installed on my device as well some info about the Mqtt_Connection? I'm assuming the audio file's may have been recorded from the device and sent to a computer elsewhere. I'm just guessing with saying that. Any help would be greatly appreciated ( how it got on the phone, what the Mqtt_Connection is, why wasn't I able to access the data ). Sorry I don't have any pics or screen shots to show.

MQTT is a necessary service that runs in the background. It is involved with connecting your apps to your mobile network and maintaining the connection while switching between apps.
I don't know what the audio files you found are, what they are/were used for or why they are there.
You probably weren't able to access their contents because they are system files that you don't have the proper permissions to access.
