2.31 Radio Img - HTC One S

Anybody have the latest 2.31 radio image? My hboot is compatible for flashing in recovery and I could only find RUU everywhere (which takes longer) so if anybody can direct me to the file that would be great. Thanks

Please help me guys...
Anybody please?
It depends on your phone's current CID or region. But to answer your question, its ASIA_WWE.

@ Ska
Thank you! Tried downloading many times from FileFactory already, always saying free slots are in use...
Hoping for other alternative download links for it....
Get a portion of the filename (from "ruu_" to "asia_wwe_version_number") and use google to search for an alternative download site. I've posted somewhere on the shipped rom thread about the latest asia_wwe rom.

You should compare the basebands not the hboot. Check under settings -> about. You can update your baseband to the latest by flashing the newer radio. But keep your hboots where they are for now, DON'T use a OTA update or RUU.

Why is older hboot better than the new ones? I know you can flash radio, but anything else? Surely there is some benefit to running the full ruu and getting updated system files in addition to updated hboot?

Hboot is nothing but problems in the root world...if you update and decide to root, you'll run into trouble.

So rather than running ruu to get latest firmware and baseband, you recommend just flashing them individually?

Well it's a big decision. If you plan to NOT root, then yes, run the RUU and update everything. If you think about rooting, I would wait to update. Sorry.

Do not update the hboot unless you want to jump through hoops to flash roms. I have seen many complain of issues with hboot higher than 1.09. Highly recommend leaving it alone. I am on 1.06 and never have problems like the updated ones.

In which country are you living?
If it's somewhere in Europe (sparda?! - maybe Germany ) the latest radio is 1.06s.50.02.27_2_10.08.50.04L.
Anyway you should keep your current hboot so. Just flash the radio. If you want, send me a PM and I'll give you a link to a cwm backup I made right after my RUU Update. It's untouched (no personal settings etc.), only with Super SU in \system, so you will have everything like as you'd run the RUU update and rooted your device.
Please learn more about the 4.04 update here.

I appreciate your advise. I discovered that I am also on 1.06 HBoot and was thinking that I had to do an OTA update to get the latest radio. So now I should be able to find a radio update and flash it in CWM.
-------------
Half an hour of searching later, I've come to conclude that the only way to update the radio is via the RUU update process. I haven't found any newer radio that is flashable. So I don't really think there is any way to keep my 1.06 hboot AND update the radio.
if you are using cwm you need to fastboot it if using twrp recovery you can flash thru recovery

You didn't search hard enough. On hboot 1.06 you can flash radios using twrp, no ruu necessary. I know because I did it, and so did many others.

The radios on the Cyanogenmod site (first link) are from the 1.78 base. I am using TweakDroid 7.1 which is from the 2.21 base and so I want the most recent radio that goes with that base. Your second link to the dropbox gives me hope... What is it? Dated July 19, would this be the one from the newer base?
Thanks!
Yes that is the newest
The other link is to how to fastboot radio. Fastboot into recovery per instructions. Be careful.

2.31 OTA radio flash

ok, this is my question, can we flash the radio from the 2.31 by fastboot??
Should have posted this in Q&A
If your HBOOT is 1.13 or higher, then the only way to update radio is via RUU or OTA. If your HBOOT is older, then you can flash radios in recovery. It takes 3 images: radio, adsp, wcnss.
There are posts around the forums that detail the process.
I have hboot and older hboot can you please upload the radio in a flashable zip

I don't know. My device is EU.
But I think people with TmoUS devices have reported that this radio works fine for them.
here is the flashable link...in this thread=Flashable Radio 1.06es.50.02.31_10.09a.50.04L (EU Radio OTA Update 2.31) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1852925
i actually took the radio image from the OTA someone posted, took and older flashable radio someone made, and changed the radio image to the new one...

Thats correct. You can try to flash it but it wont actually work. The only way to use a different radio on a higher hboot (besides OTA updates and RUUs) is to go to an AOSP ROM. They hold radio files in a different location (there is a CM10 radio flasher in the development forums). This still wont replace the underlying radio on your phone (which will be there if you go back to SENSE base ROMs). But it will allow you to try out different radios.
Not brick, only don't install
you don't tell us what rom you are on--
either way, read this thread

some have flashed radios on to sense roms with .14 hboot with the installer
read/scan whole thread
the last post talks about the Tempory Installer

Now any hboot can flash radios on sense, using the CM10 installer.

Help ota problems/ questions

Hey everyone what's up? I got a couple questions so I'm running a tmous HOS hboot 1.14 I went supercid and flash over to the WWE 2.31 ruu A while ago so tried to do OTA and wouldn't work would say that I'm using a modified version which I believe is the MID difference from the tmous HOS and the WWE one it I know I've seen on the forums somewhere that the OTA.zip could be ran like a ruu and I can't seem to find that post again so could someone run me through how to do that I would like the new hboot and radios. I'm using the rooted deodexed Rom and well I like it but have some issues plus I prefer to do all the rooting and extra stuff myself.
