(HELP) No Touch response on Chinese Tablet "HipStreet Nova HS-7DTB1" - General Questions and Answers

Well, I have a HipStreet Nova HS-7DTB1-4GB Chinese Tablet with Android v2.2 Froyo.
I don't know much about froyo but i think mine has stock rom with little modifications.
I am not getting any touch response from the phone. I faced this problem one before when i deleted the ILITEK Touch Utility (manages touch screen functions on my tablet) after rooting the phone, but physical buttons were working so i tried some combination of keys when powering on the tablet and one them worked and it said something like recovering your phone and it flashed back the original firmware back, so i think it has some kind of recovery mod.
But this time i was trying to manually update the ILITEK Touch Utility and the touch became immediately Irresponsive. now i cannot remember that combination of keys i used last time, i think i have tried all combinations but now it doesn't flash back the firmware, please help if you can.
The Tablet has A Power Button, Auto-Screen-Rotation Lock, Home Button, Menu Button, Volume Up and Down Buttons and A Back Button!
I am still new to android and don't know much about Android, So bear me if i look stupid to you

Phone doesnt wake from sleep

I just switched to my Touch Pro 2 and flashed Energy Cookie 2.5 GTX. I'm at work so I cant flash back to the stock rom or I would. Its also difficult for me to search the forum because everytime i want to use my phone I have to reset it
Basically what is happening is that once I hit the power button or the phone puts itself to sleep, it will not wake back up without being rebooted. If i press the power button then the back key, the four keys at the bottom light up. Also if I open the slide out keyboard the phone makes the xylophone noise. So its waking everything but the screen. I dont think its hardware because the screen comes back to life when you hit reset. It has to be a software issue.
Can anyone help me with this so I can get through this day lol? I would greatly appreciate it!

Try preforming a task29 and then re-flashing. Make sure to back up your data as this will erase the device memory.
Not to long read this posting : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=648134
it called SOD = Sleep of Death, and as cajunflavoredbob suggest, do task29 first, everytime you want to flash a ROM.

Problens at 'seach' and 'back' buttons

Hi, im from brazil and i found thi forrum at internet. This yeah my uncle went in usa and brought a viewsonic g tablet for me.
I have been useing my tablet normaly. Yesterday he started 'search' and 'back' automatically, all the time, as if the buttons laterals Were touched. I'm mad about it, the tablet already formatted but nothing. I hope you can help me
It might be a hardware problem if you get it all the time. If you can, install clockwork mod recovery and see if it's a problem for that as well. If so, you can always either send it back for repair or disable the buttons and use DRH's ICS ROM which will have everything you need right on the screen (since Google is moving toward button-free tablets and phones).

[Q] Removing Android Boot Menu from Droid 3

I need to send my phone back in to Verizon since I just got a replacement, and because my issues were certain hardware keys not working ("r" and "d" on the physical keyboard, and the volume buttons) I am sure they will try to start it up to check the issues.
Because my phone is currently rooted, it still displays the "Android Boot Menu" after the Motorola logo on boot (where you hit the menu button to access recovery). How can I remove this? I have already gotten the software back to stock, this is the last thing I need to get!!
Thanks

[Q] Stuck In System Recovery <3e> + a twist

Hi guys, I don't know if there are similar threads within this section, and have decided to post this thread. It has been long since I have touched my i9003, having migrated to the i9000 itself.
Anyway, here's the thing. This phone got submerged about a year ago in the water (due to my brother's stupidity) and the camera did not function anymore as well as the home button. To make things worse, the phone's warranty was already over when it happened. Back then I was tinkering with using ADB and Odin in order to flash custom ROMs and whatnot, then suddenly, I seemed to have pressed a wrong button of sorts during one of the flashing processes and it landed me on the Android system recovery <3e> screen. Now normally, this would be relatively easy with a working home button, because it would be just a simple press to freedom, but of course, as I have stated before, the button was broken.
I tried at first using ADB, but the PC didn't pickup the device/didn't recognize it. It's also recognized as a CDC Abstract Control Model and not the usual standard USB recognition.
Given the circumstances, would it still be possible to recover and reboot back to at least the home screen?

Just hold the power button till the phone's screen dims out, phone should reboot into Android.
I forgot to state that every time I reboot it via long pressing the power button, it immediately goes to the 3e Recovery.

[Completed] Htc One M8 hardware buttons working weirdly

Hello everyone! So I've had my phone (HTC One M8) rooted and custom recovery and rom installed for a little while now. The latest rom I've installed was Android Revolution HD 22.1. I also have twrp 2.8.1.0 installed. The other day my phone got wet and started to constantly reboot itself, wouldn't shut off and stay off, would never actually start. I put it in a cup of rice for 2 days, then proceeded to plug it in to charge it. Once charged enough I tried to turn it on. It only made it the HTC One logo screen and would vibrate every 10 seconds or so. I tried rebooting several times and no matter what I did with different button combinations I could not get it to load into bootloader. Eventually with restarting different ways and "mechanically stressing" the phone (short temper lol) I managed to get it to loading into the rom itself. From there I opened hasoons all in one toolkit to reboot directly into recovery and recovered to the stock rom. So the phone will now reboot with no problem into this rom. I haven't tried reflashing the ARHD 22.1 rom again because im afraid it'll break again. However, while in the stock rom everything work fines except for the volume up button which does nothing, except for while the screen is off, if I turn my phone to landscape the camera app will open without me even pressing the volume up button. If I reboot into bootloader via the quickboot app or hasoons toolkit, my volume down button with make the cursor go up, the volume up button does nothing, and the power button does nothing. The only thing I can do in bootloader is to hold power+volume up to get the phone to reboot. I also cannot get bootloader to load by holding volume down+power. So, After all that explaining, my main question would be, do you think that the buttons are shorting in a weird way because of water damage, or do you think my software got corrupted because of all the rebooting it did? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hi,
You could try a clean flash of the rom.... If you're sure the wonky buttons won't interfere with the flash, because if they do... You'll be left with no OS on the device.
Water can affect many things, especially with power on while it was wet. This will be hard to solve, and could get costly. Usually with water damage, you fix or replace one thing, only to find now that something else doesn't work. Can turn into a real money pit.
You're issue isn't so bad, but my usual advice for worse cases are save your money for a new device, because you may never get your device fully working and spend a lot of money trying to fix it.
Ah, I just saw you already asked for help in your device section. Good. ?
Then this thread can be closed, as we're here to help navigate the site, not support.
Thank you.
