I have a weird HTC first boot screen on my one X that give a warning about distributing software outside of HTC and stuff. How can I get rid of this?
Currently running Noctural ROM 3.3.

Cool thanks for the info, so I'm assuming till we figure out S-Off we can't modify the bootloader splash screen.
Correct. However one should note the thread down a little lower with the link to y we really don't need s-off.

So true, but I would like to have it for 20 min to modify the Bootloader Splash Screen and the rest of the boot loader display and menus.

What is this? The following is an update AT&T RUU for the HTC One X. This will be valuable if you're trying to restore your device from a soft-brick. It does include a fix for the WiFi problems. Other notes: root still works and its noticeably smoother/faster.
WiFi fix
Root still works
Smoother / better performance

Does this update can be rooted with current method?
Any info about the boot loader?

One Click Root is not working on this RUU. I keep getting this error:
adb server is out of date. killing.............
Does this have the visual voice mail pre installed? I know you can manually install but don't want to.

enable usb debugging. stop any adb processes that are currently running on your PC. and make sure HTC Sync isn't running as well.

Anyone have a "hard" bricked device they would like to sell? I need parts.
I'd venture to guess anyone with a phone like that has already gone through at&t or HTC for warranty or whatever since these phones are all less than a year old still

Ok, I will withdraw my inquiry.
I have an inspire 4g that is brand new and supposedly unlocked here. It is intended to be used on a gsm carrier in Egypt, the specific frequencies I do not know, nor am I interested. I would just like to know if anyone can help me establish if it is unlocked, as well as switch the language in the whole system to Arabic. I don't oppose root and flashing if need be, however it must be very reliable and stock like reliability if so, as it is going to someone who is not so tech savvy. Basically, is it a lost cause or is it plausible to easily get this thing working in a language they can read and keep it reliable?
Thanks for any information or help in advance!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
That's a good question. Only thing I suggest is to flash a Rom that has your language already installed on it.

To verify if it's unlocked u must put in a sim and see if the device will place a call. I suggest u turn off device, put in sim, then reboot. That will let u know if it's GSM capabilities are unlocked

Is your inspire an att, Verizon or T-Mobile?
Sent from my One X using Tapatalk
It is AT&T. It appears to coincide correctly with the frequencies that are used with the mobile carrier they intend to use, and I'll have a look at all the info you've provided, thank you!

Hi there,
My friend has just bought this phone, and he had one night a problem w/ it after charging it : the phone was charging and when he removed the cable it froze, rebooted and stuck in a white screen, and that's something that happens to many people.
So he gave it to a "technician" how literally [email protected]#$ed it up : we don't really know what he did but we are 80% he flashed the wrong rom on this phone .
Now the phone cant even start, AND:
-The phone doesn't start even if you keep pressing the power button
-Sometimes the led is orange when charging, and stays orange even if the charger is unplugged
-I removed the battery (to test the theory of "the battery isn't well placed") for more than 10 mins, and sticked a duct tap to the volume down : here there's no orange led but after some time (and this doesn't happen always) I can get to HBOOT but I can't do anything (it is frozen and I can't navigate nor select by power button).
-If keep it charging, it suddenly turns on (after more than half hour of waiting) and shows "htc" logo and keeps vibrating for a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time then it stops and goes to black screen but it is on.
What should I do?
This happens to me too

The long vibrate thing happened to me when I flashed a ROM from ROM manager some years back. Don't flash Roms from there. But if his phone vibrates forever and doesn't load..then its more than likely he flashed a ROM that somehow messed his boot loader up. That's how I got into that predicament

I really done what's written (hold down power + vol- buttons for like 1min then release the power button to keep vol- until it shows HBOOT) and I GET TO HBOOT but it is frozen I mean I can see menus but I can't navigate w/ controls and the computer doesn't see any device.

Yea. U won't be able to select anything for some time. Make sure your device is plugged in so it doesn't die on ya. Give it about five mins to be on boot loader..then see if u can navigate the menu..u need to make sure you have the device's drivers and fastboot drivers on your computer.
