What's better? NoFrills or SetCPU? - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

Hi,
I changed to CyanogenMod 7.2 (official build). Whats better to overclock the phone? NoFrillsCPUControl, SetCPU or the inbuild app in cyanogenmod-settings?
Greetings,
TheRealFelix0212

I use the inbuilt one

Yup use the inbuilt n oc upto 650 max is sufficient

Inbuilt is better.. Bt u can use SetCPU as it takes a backup of ur normal frequency.. As if at overclock ur phn doesnt start u can recover it by flashing that backedup file!
Press THANKS if i helped u

the one whose GUI looks cool and smooth to you

What do you mean? I can overclock my phone with all three things, but I thought, that an app is better or something like that....

Is it dangerous?
Can Overclocking harm the hardware of my G-Fit?

yeah life of processor dicreases a little bit
and one more thing do not get the min frequency setting to Max or your device will bootloop

Can underclocking (or undervolt, i don't know ) harm the hardware too? CyanogenMod haves 595 and 604 MHz whats better for the processor?

Hey!
What's about the Governor? What's the best Governor? What do you using?
How I can change the scheduler? What's the best scheduler?
I search a Governor, which has performance and saves the battery....

How do you install the zip file: flash with CWM?
now 1200 Mhz It's super fast
No this is only modules. Don't flash CWM
So where shall we copy this?

Can you please make a guide how to get this on our beloved optimus 3d!!!!
And is it working on froyo and/or gingerbread?
never mind
adixtra said:
The simplest method is install milestone overclock from market
Then install terminal emulator (from market) and write comands (in oryginal thread)
# echo 1188000000 > /proc/opperator - change to your clock speed
End

Actually, no milestone overclock... Just what I posted in the original thread. Thanks for the repost! If you guys come up with a method, an update.zip, or whatever... I'll post it in my original thread, and credit that creator.

That particular number opens up a vortex linking 11 parallel dimensions, enabling quantum computing on these devices...
I'm telling you, that's the sweet spot...

over clocking will harm the batter life..it is better to replace the custom rom with a light weight aosp rom,i dont know the instructions..
more comments please?
overclocking will affect your battery life depending on how much you overclock it. just do a minimal oc like 1200 mhz. install an app like set cpu and control the freq. you could even install a custom rom like MIUI , which is very smooth.
Overclock will do the magic

Arco Kernel With OC?

If someone can edit the Arco kernel and put only OC ?
i really like Arco kernel..In some games/apps CastagnaIT Kernel have lag..and it's oc'ed at 1800..
Or if someone can teach me how to do this..
P.s: i don't wanna insult Castagna ..

+1. Same for me. At least the init.d script you shared made games smoother

broodKernel OC is kinda like "Arco OC" but with a better governor/ io scheduler. I haven't posted it yet but I will do it today.

+1 maybe it would solve perfeormance problems ( saw the sgs got ~400mb rom so about 50 mb more than we) of cause 720 and maybe 480p video would lag as hell but if performance should rise hardly, i would really like to use it.. good luck if you'll try it
Please brookplant, could you make one for cm10 alpha5?
Brood :good:

I agree. I've tried Castagna many times in many roms and I always lags in games. With the arco's68 kernel are better.

Tonight I'll release it, i'm uber tired atm, since i only slept 30 min and had a full school day XD so, when i've rested a bit I will release it.
