On both my wife and I's phone the weather on the lock screen updates maybe one a week. It's just annoying as hell was wondering if any one else has this problem and fixed it. Both running just stock rooted roms with the toggle mod. The sync is set to an hour but nothing.
I've personally never had this issue...do u have sync enabled all the time?if not that be the problem ..if u shut off sync it disables apps from auto update n refreshing ...

I have been using the stock weather widget ever since I got my Nexus S. It used to work great an update all on it's lonesome. But now it will not update. If I click on it and open the weather, it will show a different temperature than what it shows on the widget. Then when I hit back to go back to my home screen, it's updated with the new temperature. I've had it not update for more than three days even unless I manually open it.
I thought maybe it was LauncherPro+ with the resizing of the widget, but I removed it and added it back to the home screen at it's original size and I still have the same problem.
Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same damn problem.
Same problem here, but mine is with the whole Genie Widget. News also is not updating or even showing at all sometimes.
Did anyone ever figure this out? It's still not updating for me. Seems like only when I'm on WiFi it doesn't update.

It hasn't been working for a while. The only way to get it to update is manually.
Check the background data and GPS,and it will work fine

I had that problem. Mine was caused by HTC sense syncing. I disabled and it went away. Also switched to adw launcher but I don't think that detail matters.
. . .adjusting to life without the trackball
how do you disable sense syncing ??? .... i have disabled htc hub but cant see an option for sense ??

HTC sense syncs texts, contacts ect, so you get a text it syncs it, I have it fully disabled as I only care for my contacts to sync nothing else and that's done via Gmail anyway

On the last 2 roms I've flashed (Coredroid & P3D), I've noticed that the conditions don't refresh every time I wake my sensation into the weather lockscreen. I've seen others having this problem too, but no one has posted a solution for it yet. Currently, the weather refreshes if you directly open the weather app and it downloads the new info. I've already tried wiping and re-flashing the roms, but no change.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Go into Accounts & Sync and set Weather to update every hour or so in addition to just "Update when opened".
I realized auto-sync was disabled when I accessed the accounts & sync settings, I guess it's disabled by default thanks for your help!

I know I'm not the only person to have problems with push notications on sense base ROMs (including stock). I've missed many Whatapps messages, Facebook notification, and more all because the phone won't push notications when the screen has been off for more than 5 minutes or so. I've noticed on CM10 that I don't have this problem. On stock ROM and CleanROM, I've noticed that it does have this issue. Is there any type of fix for it besides using a Non-Sense ROM?
Use jellybean sense.

I really don't want to use a jellybean sense ROM until AT&T releases their. They all seem to have issues.
No issues on ics viperxl I get my notifications instantly no matter how long the screen has been off for

I did some testing on my roommate's phone with Whatsapp. It seems when you're connected to wifi, there is a delay on receiving notifications when the screen is off. I've looked into this and saw that you needed to open some ports on your router for push notification to work. I opened those ports and still no luck.
When I'm using my carrier's data, I get notifcations instantly even when my screen is off. I really don't know what's going on. I've switched over to Viper's JB ROM and still getting that same issue. It's definitely Sense related.
I've noticed that if you restore an app with tibu, the push notifications stop working. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app from the market corrected this
I did some more testing and found a solution. I've noticed that when I turn my screen off and access my router settings, the HTC One X disappeared under attached devices. As soon as I turned the screen back on, I refreshed the page and saw that the phone was back in the list of attached devices to the router.
I went to Settings > WiFi > Advanced > and enabled "Best WiFi Performance". True..this may drain your battery faster, but I'm getting notifications instantly now with wifi on and my screen turned off.
Hi, for reason my apps that normally run on bootup are no longer running on bootup!
As far as I know I installed cm battery beta app and ever since nothing's fires back up on startup even after uninstalling all cm related apps and also anti virus etc!
Even my Timely alarm didn't sound this morning!
The apps that are normally set to start on bootup are swipepad, adaptive rotation lock, any.do, profile scheduler..... None of these are auto starting on bootup even after I run them and change settings to auto start!
I'm using standard AOKP ROM which has been running fine...
Any ideas much appreciated... Thanks in advance.

I'd dirty flash your rom and see if that gets rid of whatever the battery beta did
