Maybe you have a new version of an app or your ROM available?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium

Try plugging ur phone into ur PC and run the lg updater.
What android type are u running? If its stock, and you haven't updated to 2.3.4 with the new baseband that's why.. if ur running cm or HFS or eb, I got no clue.

Have you found out what it is or is it just an error?
Whats your location?
Maybe someone else in his general location might get the same message?
I wonder what it is.

False alarm.
I was happy that there was a update.
Now I am wondering why did this pop up in my notification window???
That was stupid!!!
This morning after trying to update the phone from the setting option it finally connected and said current version is already up to date.

Faking what phone an app reads

Not quite sure how to explain this one but I need to change what my phone is read as when an application reads my phone.
I have a Galaxy S 4G on tmobile and downloaded the MLB app so I could watch the games live. My phone isn't listed as a supported device, but the Nexus S is listed as a supported device. The two phones are almost exactly the same. Unfortunately, the app can see what phone I'm using and blocks me from watching the games.
Is there any way to "change" which phone I'm using? Is there some file in the android os that can be changed?
I appreciate the help guys and hope this made sense.

I have no idea if this applies to your question, but I recently did something similar to get the timescape app working on my tmobile G2. I had to install the appropriate apps and then change the line in build. Prop that reads
ro.product. manufacturer =HTC
to
ro.product. manufacturer=Sony Ericsson
maybe this is what you are looking for?
instead of the manufacturer try changing the other lines like for example
ro.product. name=
or
ro. product. device=
good luck remember to back up before attempting!

I know how to do it. Pm me. I did it for the HTC hero CDMA I made our phone think it was a Droid x even in the market lol
GOT IT to work!!! Pretending I'm at Nexus One. I will go into more detail on my break. The resolution isn't where I hoped it to be. We will see tho. I will try to get the Nexus S details and try that instead.

I'm just trying to figure out why only Gingerbread has bad wifi. Froyo didn't in my experience.

Froyo was offical. It had all the bugs worked out. Gingerbread have all been leaks so my guess is that it is still being worked on. At least i am hoping this is the case because this wifi does just suck.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
The obvious response would be: read or search whats been posted before asking an already covered question. Though id like to know, really what is it that's different in GB to cause this?
Also the wifi is not that bad, it works for home use, you flash back to Froyo if its that much a problem.

Why does it matter? Knowing the reason for it is pretty useless imo.

Can't get certain text

When I text this person I can send them text and they get it but when they reply I won't get it. They got a new phone and still the same problem. I've download hand cent to see if that would but nope.
If it helps they are on metropcs
I'm running cm10
I had this problem in my incredible and this phone. It's the same two people, has to be something on their end. Or in this case, I guess your end. Annoying though.
