i am a complete noob and using an android device for the first time its a galaxy ace. i hav just rooted it but dont know wat to do next moreover i wanna know if ma phone is kpa or kph? how to know dat. plz treat me as a noob and help me understand frm d acratch.

i really need some xperst's help with my galaxy s anycall .....
i m using this phone with following info ....
firmware version 2.3.6
baseband version M110S.WA03.0942.ST
kerenel version 2.6.35.7
build number GINGERBREAD.WA03
nw the problem is that i want to root this phone ..... jus to get awl tht korean **** uninstalled ....... i need help ..... i noe nothing about rooting android ...... kindly someone tell me the procedure n all those files tht i need to download for rooting ....... versions of kerenel n everything bcoz m v mch scare of tht BRICKING thing ...... i dnt want my fone to turn into a paper weight :silly:

jst use Farmaroot.apk .install and follow the tread

First of all install proper drivers for canvas 2 in your pc.
Pls use this thread to install proper drivers --->CLICK HERE TO GO TO THAT THREAD.
Then after installing the drivers,sp flash tools will detect your phone when connected.
so then use THIS THREAD HERE to root your phone.
Also pls post any queries and doubts in relevant thread. Like if you face any problem while installing drivers then pls ask in that drivers thread.

Actually framaroot works fine with both boromir and faramir* so u can go for it.u dont need pc or drivers. Jst an apk to install dats it so for beginners it would be easy

Hey can any one tell me difference between root and custom ROM?
I own a nexus 7 which i want to take it a higher level should i root or coustom rom it.?? BUT i dont want n7 to get defected i mean losing the ota update.Wat are threats in custom ROM and root ?
Wat are the precautions to be taken after root or ROM cauz I hav heard about some OTA update and all . i dont hav a very clear with it..???
