I want to flash this radio because I'm still not happy with 2.20... weird LTE issues.
HTC O2 2.29 (0.19as.32.09.20_3_10.107.32.25)
I was wondering, because this is labeled as an HTC O2 radio (where as the 2.20 I flashed was labeled as ATT) will it still work with my ATT HOX?
Thanks for your help.
Yes it will work.

Radio
The radio you need depends on your service provider and ROM, some dev's suggest the radio you should use to attain the best speeds, also you can check the stock radio release with your phone when it was stock, and look for ROM's with the same radio as well as trying to find if the radio will be flashable on your ROM
Thanks for that information.

Hi guys, I have a Tmous device, but I changed it to supecid and installed 2.21 official ruu.. I'm not sure if it's network related but my signal seems worse..my hboot is 1.14..can I re flash the 1.78 tmous ruu if I change my Cid back to tmous? Will that change back my radio? and what radio do you guys recommend in my region? TIA!

What type of recovery do you have? Because flashing with hboot 1.13 or above can cause... Problems.
This topic should be in Q&A by the way

As for your query, NO! you cannot downgrade the firmware from 2.21 to 1.78. Try the latest radio from 2.31 OTA update in developers forum, it improves signal reception. And when not using 3G turn the radio mode to GSM only! (network> 3 dots menu buton)!
To mod : please close or move to q/a

Hi guys,
I've read a lot about the HOX but most of the information here is from the At&t version. I have the Rogers one, so I know I can unlock the bootloader no problem. Although coming from firmware 1.94 do I need to do the steps where you flash the boot.img into fastboot before flashing the .zip from recovery. This has kept me going for a while, so now I'm asking
While I'm at it, about flashing radio…does the performance of one radio vs another has anything to do with the carrier you're with. This is a confusing part for me.
Alright thanks!!
What version is your hboot?
1.09 or 1.14

I have no idea if 1.11 applied write protection. Radio doesn't matter on your carrier
Try to flash a ROM through recovery. If you boot loop you will need to flash the boot.IMG in fastboot as well

Actually I am on a Rogers HOX on straight Talk (att network) in the US.... How would radio affect my situation?

Well try an att radio first. If you dont like it try Telstra or Vodafone.
I was using Telstra for a while. My reception was great

No need for extra flashing on Rogers 1.11.
That's what I'm packing.

Radios are more geographically dependent (what town you are in, maybe even what tower or towers), than anything else. Carrier doesn't matter much. I've read of some people mentioning carrier specific optimizations for some radios. But I haven't seen any significant difference in performance for say AT&T radios versus non-AT&T (I'm on AT&T).
It really just comes down to trial and error. Newer radios are a good place to start, but that isn't a silver bullet either. New radios sometimes make for better performance for some, worse for others.
I bought a brand new HTC One S phone via eBay from an individual. I noticed when I inserted the sim that I was running on edge(T-Mobile). I did some research and noticed my phone is from Europe, with no carrier. Is the international edition not compatible with T-Mobile's hspa? Or is there something wrong with my phone? How could I fix? Please help.
FYI: I'm not rooted and running stock sense.

Please tell me the CID.
Option 1) Get a smartphone that run T-Mobile Android 4G. Put the SIM in and copy the APN data to the One S.
Option 2) Brand the CID as T-MOB010. Flash TMOUS RUU (2.35, 1.84, or less). The radio should work.
Option 3) Grab a ROM.zip and flash the radio. ( If it's JB, then don't, cause is radio DOWNGRADE).
Or simply, just sell it for T-Mobile HTC One S.
I tried option one , and it didn't work. My CID is WWE HTC__001

How do I do option 2, Which is brand the CID to TMO10?
