One month I tethered about 25-30 gigs and I haven't heard a peep from vzw.
I use about 14 to 20 gbs
Tethering a month..

That's impressive. Just downloaded a 180gb torrent, although I wasn't tethering. Still took a whole week to finish.

Just curious, how did you download 180gb to your phone? I though the most this phone will hold is a 64gb sdcard. :what:

Ok, now that this has been threadjacked into a tethering/torrent conversation...
I had no idea you could get so much data through this little phone. I never wanted to push my luck with VZ and get tagged with the tethering charge. Is that not a concern anymore because of that other lawsuit that they lost?
The one time I tried to get a ~300MB torrent transfer rate was painfully slow (<10kbps). This was about 6 months ago and I think was on 3G.
Is there some special config for torrent clients that I'm missing?

On 4G a dvd takes about an hour and a blu ray I just do overnight

You could in fact be throttled. Did you recieve a text for T-Mobile about them slowing down you data for the rest of the cycle? Throttling is when T-Mobile slows down your data because you overused it, during your month cycle. Hell, I'm on a 5GB cap and I'm throttled. ): Guess you can complain to T-Mobile or wait it out.

As much as you probably pay, id start using it. Hell watch some shows when you not busy or download some music or games or anything. Cause regardless of how much you use your still paying the same price.

Last Mr2 was on a Friday I download on 4g took 11 mins to full update, just got gb from mik-mik 434 MB for unrooted tbo...
May wait 4 ota on this phone, other rooted w/ gingeritis... +gb but No wifi though... Reading threads 2 fix

Wrong. It exists for android, it is just VERY hard to find.

Yes you can change stations (I thought I was all sneaky too lol), but you are limited to 12 per day unless you pay. I found this out while driving from San Diego to Alabama.

You have to opt in but you'd go on the Verizon wireless website, the privacy clause....ask you what you want to do, I've opt out so long can't remember now.

I find it rather disgusting that verizon offers you a coupon for your personal information. Google just invited our family into a similar thing but they mailed 5 real dollars. And you get a $100 gift card per month if you let them install a router in your house to track data usage.
So how does that wonderful coupon look now? And to think your info is worth hundreds if not thousands of dollars to them.

Yup. Unlimited doesn't exist anymore. When you upgrade you'll automatically be dropped down to a 2GB plan unless you specify a higher capacity.
I've heard rumors that unlimited will be back someday but Verizon has to beef up their infrastructure first. It'll be a while.

We have three people on a 10GB shared plan, and we average around 6GB of use in a normal month. We love having that 4GB buffer though, because we travel every few months and always use a lot more data when we are traveling.
This is why I refuse to use my update. Last month I used 44 gb. Mostly because I tether at work the entire time. Most I've ever used was 61 gb. Not sure if I could live without unlimited.
I have unlimited data and a unlimited tether plan also not giving it up.
Id rather pay full price for a phone.
