Hear ye, hear ye! I've started porting CyanogenMod 10 to the Galaxy Tab Plus.
Do not flash this unless you know how to backup your data and especially unless you know how to get back to stock. If you don't already know how to do this, you might want to familiarize yourself with the process now, while the other developers and me get CM9 to a more "daily driver" state. I don't have time to help n00bs unbrick their devices. No offense!
Known issues:
USB mounting of internal storage doesn't work (and probably never will). The internal SD card is not a separate partition, and is mounted internally using FUSE. There is no way to mount that via USB at this time (not even in stock). Blame Google.
HDMI out doesn't work
IR Blaster doesn't work (and probably never will)
Playback of DivX / Xvid MPEG4 videos using the Android video player (MX Player or BS Player work fine though)
Wi-Fi is iffy: 5GHz networks don't work well, and Wi-Fi is generally unstable (causes battery drain and requires toggling on/off a few times a day)

Is it giving you an error message?
Maybe, you should try to clear data on the google services framework (and maybe reboot).

Really nice the development of CM10 is running!
Release seems nice, although many times it doesn't feel that smooth anymore - seems like it's not getting 60 fps.
i just installed recovery, but the sd cards are switched, should i put the zips in the internal sd card then and then flash in order to install. Because when I select internal it takes me to external sd card, but aborts install. Just checking thanks.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
* PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE TOPIC BEFORE FLASHING THE ROM.
* THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL RELEASE BY DHIRU, IT IS BUILT BY ME WITH HIS CODE AND FIXES BY OTHERS AS BASE. DON'T BUG HIM OR ADI WITH PROBLEMS WITH THIS ROM UNLESS THEY'RE RELATED WITH THE KERNEL.
ROM Downloads
Get them from my own GetCM Server
Google Apps - Download from ROM Manager or from Here
NOTE:
To enable developer options and performance menu to change the CPU scheduler or other options go to Settings-->About phone and click many times the Build number.
Upgrading instructions
From previous releases of CM10.1
1. Go to Settings-->About phone-->Cyanogenmod Updates.
2. Select to show new or all updates (including unstable ones, as I upload all the test builds as nightlies).
3. Download any release you want from the ones it'll show.
4. Reboot to recovery.
5. Wipe data if you want to (it's not obligatory).
6. Flash the update (which is located in /emmc/cmupdater).
7. Flash Google Apps.
8. Reboot.
Any other AOSP ROM (CM7/MIUI/CM9)
1. Reboot to Recovery.
3. Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
4. Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
5. Go to Advanced -> Reboot Recovery.
6. Mounts and Storage -> Format dbdata
7. Flash Google Apps.
8. Reboot
Upgrading from CM10
It is possible to update directly from CM 10 Alpha 5 or Alpha 4 without wiping data, if you upgrade from any pre-Alpha 4 CM10 based ROM, your data will be wiped due to new MTD partitioning system. Anyway, a wipe is always recommended although it is not necessary.
1. Shut down the phone.
2. As reboot doesn't work on the new kernel, take off the battery and reinsert it.
3. Boot from recovery (Vol+, Home, Power button).
4. Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
5. Flash Android 4.2 Gapps.
6. Once it have finished, take the battery off the device again.
7. Boot the phone.
8. If you didn't wipe data, go to Settings-->Applications-->All-->Clock (not cLock, which is the lockscreen widget), and delete app data from that menu. This is needed due to Android 4.2 native improvements to the clock are incompatible with Cyanogenmod's improvements to the clock on CM10.
9. Enjoy CyanogenMod 10.1!

Please, note that I started this as an internal release for me just to learn and test things, I'm just releasing it for the people to test the goodness of CM-10.1 and see how it works on our device and due to the interest shown by all that people who have requested it. Thank you all for the interest!
Changelog
Test 1 - 27022013 - Experimental (with 3.0 Kernel).
-This first release includes omapzoom 3.0.8 Kernel by Dhiru1602 and Adi_Pat.
-I've decided to label it as Test instead of Alpha as this is NOT a release made by Dhiru and since he hasn't released his CM 10.1 yet, I wanted to avoid confusion.
-Can be upgraded from CM10 (Read the notes below).
-This ROM is like CM 10 Alpha 5 so, of course, it is still experimental. I won't consider it a daily driver yet.
-Also, It is configured to use my own GetCM server (which is still not available yet), so you would be able to update from new releases directly from the system and it would tell you when a new update is available. Although I don't think it should work due to the reboot bug on Kernel 3.0.8.
Test 2 - 07032013 - Experimental (with 3.0 Kernel).
-First build released through my GetCM server.
-Updated from latest sources from CyanogenMod.
-Updated WiFi driver (WiFi tethering still doesn't work).
-Updated bluetooth firmware binary (though it's still not tested to check if it fixes bluetooth).
-Latest changes in the kernel made by Dhiru, which try to fix the USB bug.
-Added Smartassv2 CPU governor, and made default.
-Added SIO scheduler, and made default.
Test 3 - 04042013 - Experimental (with 3.0 Kernel).
-Latest changes from upstream (cyanogenmod) and Dhiru (kernel).
-Latest updates from CyanogenMod to wpa_supplicant.
-Included this patch from LoSconosciuto.
Test 3 B - 04042013-B - Experimental (with 3.0 Kernel).
-All the above changes, plus:
-This patch by LoSconosciuto, which enables the device off mode. I've not included this in the "main" release as he has told me this could cause more SODs and I've isolated it in this release until further testing is done.
Test 3 C - 05042013 - Experimental (with 3.0 Kernel).
-All the above, plus:
-Added Spanish translation to DeviceParts.
-I've implemented the navigation bar as I've noticed that, with time, the home button wears and would get broken and this is a way to avoid that. What I don't like about it is that it takes screen space but the Extended Desktop feature included in this CM build solves this problem. You can configure it to leave the System Bar at the top and the device will behave like always.
Test 3 D - 05042013-B - Experimental (with 3.0 Kernel).
-Little changes from CM repos.
-Reverted the patch that makes the device unable to wake up or show weird lines on the screen.
-All the above, the battery temperature bug, extended desktop and Pie controls.
Known bugs
-Almost everything that works in CM 10 Alpha 5 works here.
-Except Bluetooth, which is still not working due to the new bluetooth stack that comes with Android 4.2. I'm working on it.
-There were some issue with WiFi, which I have fixed, so it should work well now. In case you find any problem, report it here.
-There are some issues with WiFi tethering.

Hello rodero95,
Firstly thanks for your efforts with the CM10.1.
I just wanted to ask, u mentioned that you included Bluetooth fix in this test ROM in CM10 thread.
So i wanted to know if the fix is included in the ROM or Separate fix will be available.
Re: [TEST][ROM][4.2.2] Cyanogenmod 10.1 for Samsung Galaxy SL (Experimental) [28/02/2

I meant WiFi fix, not Bluetooth fix, sorry. As soon as I get to fix Bluetooth I'll include in the next version.

I look at the statistics of the battery and I said this is worse than a blacklight

Welcome to SentinelROM for Samsung Galaxy SIII (International Version 4G -i9305 ONLY). Compiled with Linaro Toolchain from modded CM11 source. Android 4.4
This is one of the most popular ROMs for Nexus 10, Nexus 7, Nexus 4 and HTC One X, and after weeks of hard work and optimisation, I launched it for the SGS3 i9300 and it had 500 downloads in the first 2 days... so now I am happy to release it for Samsung Galaxy SIII 4G i9305.
This ROM is compiled from CyanogenMod 11 with all the features you get in a CM11 ROM, plus the following features.
Increased volume (not quiet like most CM based ROMs)
Zip Aligned
LMT Pie Controls - developed in collaboration with noname81.
Compiled from latest CyanogenMod 11 source by me, not a 'cooked ROM'.
OTA Updates supported
Improved Web Browsing performance
Improved 3D gaming performance
Amazing battery life
Additional theming and UI customisation
FAST support via this page and our Facebook Page
A free copy of my music player app
________________________
This ROM has been built to enhance the CyanogenMod 11 experience, with faster gaming and web browsing performance (no choppyness in Chrome too!) and best of all, extreme battery life.
Countless hours have been spent making tweaks to settings to squeeze the most performance I can find out of this ROM while still providing excellent battery life and without the dangers of overclocking and kernel level tweaking.
I compile this ROM and Kernel from the latest CyanogenMod source code, add my various tweaks and adjustments, then test for stability, so you get all the benefits of CyanogenMod 11, plus my tweaks and extras, all without the instability and inconvenience of flashing CyanogenMod nightlies (which are not designed specifically for the SGS3 like my ROM is.
The kernel source is available from the CyanogenMod's GitHub.

If installing for the first time:
To install this ROM you will need to have an unlocked bootloader and a custom Recovery such as TWRP or ClockWorkMod installed (personally I recommend TWRP, I have had issues with restoring backups using CWM).
Copy the downloaded SentinelROM zip to your Internal Storage.
Boot into your custom recovery
Back up your stock ROM
Enter custom recovery
Factory Reset and wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache
Format System Partition
Install the ROM
Install GAPPS
Reboot - First boot may take up to 5 minutes
Important: After installation you will be asked if you want to turn on CyanogenMod Statistics, please leave it off as this is an unofficial/modified build.
Note: Use of titanium backup to restore apps and data from another ROM is not recommended, and is the source of 90% of user issues, especially when it comes to battery life. Do so at your own risk.
You may flash other kernels as you wish via recovery. Remember to also flash the correct libraries for any 3rd party kernels. Instructions will be given by the Kernel author. NOTE: Updating the ROM via OTA will also overwrite any custom Kernels you have installed.
________________________

How to set up Pie Controls for the first time...
First to thanks!!!!
Looking forward to get back home and try it
Btw, are you aware of our speaker volume issues?
Thanks a Lot try it now!!!
I have read a little about it. Looking forward to some feedback on this ROM with regards to the speaker volume, and of course everything else.
People are getting some crazy good battery life on this ROM on other devices, so I cant wait to see how you guys go
BTW guys, we've got an awesome community going on Facebook. so make sure you check it out if you'd like to be involved in the latest beta tests and features, etc!
Thank you
Downloaded. Giving it a try now. Let you all know later. Thank you
I'm off to bed now (It's 11:10pm here in Sydney), but I'm looking forward to hearing your experiences tomorrow. Have a fun day!
Hey man, I gonna try it at the moment its downloaded
But i'm really curious if you made any changes to the kernel? Any tweaks or it's just standard CM kernel?
Hi mate,
As this is the first release, it's the standard CM kernel (compiled by me from source).
Once I have some feedback, I'll apply some more tweaks to the kernel for the next release.
I like to start with a proven foundation and work from there. This approach is working well for me so far with other devices
Would love to try this and always happy to see new Devs for this device but with all the limitations with the s series its hard to keep.
Camera is a big for me and all the cm10.1 roms have not been stable enough. Mostly saying it can't connect.
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda premium
The camera was working fine during beta testing for this device. There's a few issues with the camera on i9300.

As of now I think the use of other kernels isn't important.
I believe usb debugging is located in developer settings. Just press the build number a bunch of times and developer settings should appear in settings

Problem:
You can connect to the internet because of no mobile data connection because no APN is set
Solution:
For the most people it should help to turn airplane mode on and then off. In some cases this isn't enough. Maybe you have to let you send a configuration sms from your provider or you have to
configure APN manually. After that try turn airplane mode on -> off again. Maybe you have to reboot and airplane on off again. For me i have to turn airplane mode on and off again after every reboot. First APN setting is not shown. Airplanemode on -> off they appear und 3G connects automatically. One or two times 3G won't reconnect after long time using wifi. I recommend to take a tool like WifiFixer free. It connects periodly to 3G while using wifi.

Problem:
sometimes when you have unfolded the notification drawer completely, it "sticks" at the end, when trying to swipe it up again, sometimes i have to try it 4 or 5 times before it goes up again, i think this is just a

Problem:
some people say that not every setting is available yet (in the settings) they say somethings are missing from the original CM. dont know exactly what it was. just thought i mention it.

Why is it the name of cm10 is UNOFFICIAL?is it because of still not stable or because of it is not build from novathor chipset sources?

Lol. There is no CM for us. Our respected dev's had to develop it by themselves. So it's unofficial...

It may become official after (nearly) everything was fixed and shaan gives it to the cyanogenmod team... but as long as it hasn't been reviewed by them it will stay unofficial

great news again
he told that he has possibly a fix for vibrating issue. but he has to test it first. the cm development is getting near by daily use and beta 2
happy day for us all. if itś complete we have the opinion to get much custom roms. great day. thanks
new infos from frapeti
things that need to be fix for next beta stage
they just want camera to work on their phones, if you don't override anything you will just end with a little more used system space and it will be cleaned up when they flash the next build, it's nice to remember that the camera HAL is fixed thanks to jerpelea and OliverG96, and their patches are being carefully merged with the actual cm source by diego, I mean, give the proper credits to them because most people here doesn't know those facts indeed.
facts: blobs still being added
todo (for a real beta stage):
- OMX Codecs (it will fix video recording and video player)
- Microphone in 3d party apps
- Compass sensor
- Improve GPS performance
- Fix vibrator driver
- Fix vsync issue (hwcomposer)
to get camery fixed copy /system/lib from stock rom to cm. don't overwrite files

I have been watching for like a week waiting for this to come to some sort of climactic crash, however, I am so curious I must flash this after trying a few other builds of yours some that worked, some not so much. Dont feel bad sir as with all things there has to be trial and error or nothing would ever be mastered. So I hope this works out for ya because it was looking real promising there for a moment! Thanks for the effort no matter the outcome.

Alright, its early stage right now so not too many changes, soon as I find the data partition for the updater-script everything will be on piont:good:
So my HTC Inspire didn't blow up, good. This DID boot up, this DID connect to Wi-Fi. I poked around a bit and unless Google is down the play store is getting errors when I try to download an app at which point my phone froze and it rebooted itself and gets some android.media.process has stopped errors. So having said all that and knowing where your at. Dude your going in the right direction. Im going to fiddle fart with this cause I can and will look forward to your updates. Good Luck!

It is, may be buggy, It's somewhat easy, but I'll make it as an addition later I need to make sure I do it the proper way
build 12/29 released.
BTW, Anyone know how to add data partition in the updater-script? I don't know the partition name, mainly why I haven't made aroma yet.

I congratulate you on taking on a difficult task.
With small resources i9001, android 601 this is a big achievement.
I suppose that to install this ROM.zip it is necessary to use new partition assignments as for recent versions of CyanogenMod 12.1 by ADC-Team.
Is not it?

The partition layout is the same as in cm12, so.. yes
Thsnks bro
Interesting. Keep it up ??
WOW!! Very nice. :good::good: Would love to see a working Android 6.0.1 on our old Device. Especially because of not working Greenify (also Authy & CPU-X) on CM 12.1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ap...installing-t3654586/post75688969#post75688969).
PS: Even the old Sony Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i - called mango) I once had, could run CM 13 (https://0cn.de/h5mg) and even 14.1 (https://0cn.de/zvg2).
Thanks also a lot for the newest TWRP!! :good::good:
Registered today just to say thanks here. Great project.
I'm still using the I9001 with christopher83's LP5.1, which runs rather good (of course without Google apps).
Considering a test install, I've got few questions.
There's currently no camera included, so even taking pictures isn't possible (don't mind about videos)?
About failing sensors after some time. Even basic stuff like accelerometer/gyroscope?
I'm a bit confused about the zram/swap setting off 512MB (as LP5.1 used 128). Is it for testing or does 6.0.1 require (that) much more ram?

Thanks!
Camera is not working at all.. problems with codecs, but I'll fix that soon.
Yes, zRAM is for testing at this moment... but somehow it fixes 'bootloop' after installing gapps(pico).. with 128MB it taking forever (about 5+ hours) - with 256+ it's about 10/15 minutes.
There's also issue with keyboard after installing gapps, so I don't recommend installing them yet.
Sensors are working for me till now, but it's very unstable. And yes - all sensors are failing.

But please don't give up... :-/ :crying:
What about a GO Version?
( Recently I had a S2 / i9100 as Backup Smartphone for my mom, and found someone developt a WIP GO Version of LOS 15.1 - https://0cn.de/i9100Oreo. Therefore I'm askin'.)
Thanks for the details.
I'll definitely join testing, but would like to wait for (maybe limited) camera support.

No problem I'm working on fix right now.
Now I had time to also install it. BUT, after installing newest TWRP Version and wiping everything, all I got in result (v2 from 27.04) is a black screen (I mean black, as if it were off) with always on bright shining touch keys. Do I have to wait a long time or is definitly something wrong..!?

Ahhh.... So, yep, works. PS: Thanks for the blue. I also don't like this green.
Hello, i think that i've found a bug. I've enabled root access for apps and ADB in "developers options", the apps that requires root are working but when i try to enter in the menu "Superuser" in settings, the settings crash.

I had small problems with camera, but the build is finally up
Camera is working - taking pictures, video recording(720p needs some work).
On stock camera autofocus is not working well.
Sensors are working without any problem.
The SuperSU is probably still crashing.

Good, Camera did stand a first short test.
Problem (just?) here:
How do I put app links from "all apps" menu to the home screen? On CM this was touch+hold app and it switched to the home screen?
(OK: I used side-by-side-layout for "all apps", works with default vertical layout)
Found three strange things:
1) Settings > Memory/Ram > Show Apps, that are started at boot
crashes settings here
2) CPU frequency distribution via CPU-Spy shows 368, 245 and 122 Mhz totally unused on my device (not a single sec!). So CPU goes just down to 768 Mhz. CPU governor problem, maybe? "On demand" worked well with LP5.1 (was default).
But good thing in the department: Deep sleep working!:good:
3) Overclocking to 1824 Mhz by default. Intended?

1. Weird. I'll fix that soon. Maybe next build.
2. I'll check that.
3. Yes, it's overclocked, but shouldn't - my bad - I'm working on nougat and I've put nougat kernel to MM...
Thanks for reporting bugs! :good:
