As soon as the flash goes off the phone just dies. Its never done this before. Been running cm7 stable for about a year now. Googled it and some say its the led's, some say its a software issue, and some say it's the battery. What y'all think?

Is anyone having this issue? I cant find a fix for it, this is really a great rom if not the BEST!!!
Have you tried a hard reboot? Do you have apn's listed?

I'm pretty sure that CM7 2.3.7 has the data fix, but try the DragonG2X kernel, which has the APN fix that the cyanogen team came up with, should hopefully fix your problems. If it doesn't, try a clean install with a full wipe and the kernel, if that doesn't work, you might need a new sim card (small chance of that one making a difference), and if that doesn't work, you have no chance.

Yes I have tried doing a hard reboot, flashing the rom again and wiping everything and it still has no data. Also i have flashed an older rom and it still has the problem, and I know its not the sim card or my phone because with other roms it works perfectly, its a shame because i really liked that rom.
no i dont have apn's listed
Try the kernel mentioned above.
And put your phone number in settings<call settlings<additional settings
I've seen that fix the apn issue for some.

Sorry for the question but how can I flash a rom? Via clockworkmod, installing from SD card?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
I think you mean kernel right? If so, yes, thru cwm like a rom. Wipe cache and dalvik before flashing it the fix permissions before reboot.

Yes that's what I meant hahaha, OK will try it!!!

Try this, flash the tmobile recovery first, then boot into the phone. Wipe from settings, privacy, wipe the sdcard box or whatever... let it do its thing, until it reboots after the part when android flys up, pull the battery, then flash clockwork recovery, wipe everything again, then flash what you need, wipe data, pull battery, flash stock tmobile recovery, then hold down volume down and power until it wipes it's own, let it load, then flash back the recovery of your choise if needed... everything should work after this. I notice that if I don't do these steps, my use up memory after flashing any rom is pass 260, but when I do these steps, its at around 160mb

The title of this thread is what keeps happening to me at least once after I flash an update or a theme on my phone. Its been happening since I've used the icbinb ki series. It usually will happen once or twice after a titanium backup restore. Or turning on the phone after calibrating the battery. Someone please give me some feedback. No i'm not a noob as you can see been here for a long while, I read and follow directions to the t. So I'm very confused with this! It happens when I'm on uv stock kernel default settings or oc.
Your framework is crashing. That's what's causing the soft reboot. Usually due to a theme not meant for the build you are using.

I only use themes labeled for the rom i'm on. it happens after fresh ROM fashes as well... I read somewhere about soft bootloaders for 2.3.5. Are they different than the 2.3.4 bootloaders from kg4? I'm thinking this must have something to do with it. It started happening after first flashing 2.3.5. I haven't odined of the releases.

I used to get issues similar to that when my ext 4 partition was incorrect. Maybe look there.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
I never considered that, thanks. I'll give the ext4 converter a flash and see.

Well flashing the ext4 converter then a fresh flash of my rom did the trick

I really would appreciate some input on this.. I was on NexusMod ICS for about two days before I woke up one morning to find that my phone had rebooted and was stuck at the splash screen. I tried pulling the battery and powering it on but got the same result, so I tried to get into CWM and couldn't. It would boot to recovery but not long enough to actually do anything, so I ODIN'd stock rom and CWM then flashed AOKP build 38 instead of NexusMod. Everything was fine for a few days but this morning I woke up to my phone stuck on the splash screen again, only this time when I pulled the battery and powered it on, it booted up fine, but my wallpaper had changed (weird).. So I really don't have a clue why this would happen, but I'd appreciate some help, and TIA!

Yes, that's a good idea, but wouldn't you think it would be an app that's causing it since it happened on two very different roms? Or am I way off in my thinking?

Good call. Thank you much.

Had this issue with some roms when I was using cwm. Once I updated to cwm touch didn't have an issue.

Flashed my new G2X this morning, backed up my Stock build, and started playing with ROMs. Each time I installed a ROM, I could not get data. Everytime I restored my stock build, data resumed. This must be an easy fix.
Tried CM7.2 Stable, Hellfire Phoenix, and Eaglesblood.
What did I miss? TIA.
Check your APN. Hit restore default and it'll load them.

Brilliant. Thanks much. Figured it was something easy.
So, I've noticed that after a given reboot, the APN's will disappear. Restore to default does nothing, but if I reboot again they will come back. Is this common?
Reboot it happened to me

Never had a problem with APNs going missing myself. I'm on Wind in Canada though so there's the off chance that makes a slight difference. Doubtful though.
Are there any stable fully functional ICS/CM9 ROMS out there? Only asking cause the dev section seems dead.

Just tried out aokp build 39. Not bad, but did have horrible data speeds and signal compared to my stock blur android 2.3.3. Not sure if it was me that missed something in the process, everything else seemed to work great and booted fast. I did have to go into stock recovery and wipe data/factory reset the first time to get it out of looping on the animation the first time.
Just wanted to give my experience feedback so far.
