My Verizon GSIII unlocked?

Guys,
I just rebooted the phone for the first time since I got it and noticed this:

Does this mean my bootloader came unlocked from the factory?
Thanks,

Bumping this up... IIRC this came up before not sure if was properly looked into.
I wouldn't flash anything until someone who knows more than me can explain what exactly this means and if it will help the effort to get an image of your phone.
You should get a dev to dump the system files

This has been found before. Don't think there was anything different.
Ive gotten this from either disabling an app or custom recovery mishap somehow i believe, not sure which. Had to restore to stock and reroot to remove custom status.

Funny thing is, I haven't done anything custom to the phone at all. Just signed into my Gmail account and downloaded app updates from the Play Store.

You're not running a root injected ROM or anything?
That would be somewhat interesting if you're getting this from a completely stock SGS3, but it's still not indicative of an unlocked bootloader.
I too have this icon, but that seems to be because I used Titanium Backup with root to freeze some system apps that were otherwise unfreezable.
Someone had the same thing over the weekend, stock out of box, booted up with custom boot image. he hadn't done anything to it either. proved not to be useful.
This is something that's already been discussed.
My S3 has the same behavior, and several others have reported it as well, but none of these bootloaders are unlocked.
Wow, I did try a search, and maybe if there was a separate Verizon gsiii thread it would have been easier to find it...

in his defense, there are 12 different GS3 forums and none of them are carrier-separated for non-development.

Didn't mean to sound like a jerk, but I see how people read it that way. Edited.

I'm SO frustrated!!! Is my phone bricked?

OK, let me say first of all, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place and I'm sorry that this has probably been discussed a hundred times.
I haven't rooted/flashed/etc since my EVO. Tonight, over the past few hours, I've attempted to get CM10 running on my phone.
Here's what I did:
I used rooted using the " [GUIDE][VZW Edition]How to root your Galaxy SIII & More!(ROMs/CWM/Stock)" Thread.
used ez-unlock to unlock - it said I was UNLOCKED!
TRIED using ez-recovery to flash the CWM recovery - DIDN'T WORK so I used rom manager from play store - THAT DID WORK
I made a backup of my stock touchwiz, then did the proper wipes and system format.
Then flashed CM10
Then flashed gapps
NOW I'm on a 'system software not authorized by verizon' screen. when I attempt bootloader, I get the same screen.
I posted in the respective threads, and a couple people were helpful, but gave vague answers
One said my bootloader isn't locked, another told me to odin back to stock and start over.
HOW DO I DO THESE THINGS? I'm just learning, I need instructions to follow!!
I just paid $600 for this phone, and I'm freaking out, and getting frustrated!
In that same thread you read/used to root your phone it should explain to you on how to Odin back to stock and what you'll need.

Thanks, I'm following it now.
Again, I'm sorry all for probably abusing the forums, but I'm nearly having a panic attack. I'm tech savvy, but not when it comes to rooting and all, especially on a device that I'm so new to.

Totally fine it's what most of us are here for to help
Now make sure to read everything before jumping the gun and also when you use the EZ Unlock app make sure your using version 1.2 I'll include a link. The version off the play store 1.4 is having major issues with unlock not sticking and I'm pretty sure that's where it went all wrong for you.

[Q] How to install custom ROM?

I have a Samsung Infuse 4G running CM10 so I'm not totally oblivious of the ROM flashing process. But since TF300T is a bit different, after couple hours of research this is my conclusion of what I need to do.
I'm already running JB so...
1) Unlock bootloader
2) Install CWM
3) Root
4) Flash ROM
However, since ASUS is having problem with their unlock .APK, I'm screwed and therefore can't install custom ROM ever. Is that true? Should I be looking for option to sell my TF300 and get a different device?

Why it's not helpful, can you explain. It will be good.
Cause you're on JB, not unlocked and not rooted.
So unlock your device, with Asus unlock tool, install TWRP...
and.... Just apply the rest of the process

HTC Inspire 4G Help

Hi guys, I am an iphone user and Just started to use Android so dont know much about it. I have couple of problems please help me to solve them.
1. I Installed Android ICS 4.0.4 after rooting Inspire 4g and its working now but whenever i run few app it reboots. I tried to run Temple RUN 3-4 times but my phone reboots. Please help me to find the way.
2.- Now its not rooted. Would you please help me to know how to root now this Inspire 4G with ICS 4.0.4.
Regards
1. Which ROM?
2. How did it get unrooted?
I Installed this Rom and i have done nothing after that i dont know how to unroot or whatever.
update-aospX-1.0.0-AR30-DesireHD-signed.zip
would you please let me know what to do? It reboots and dosent look stable for me.
Regards
That's because that is not the latest version. Where did you get it? It is actually really old. The latest version is on this phone's development forum. Usually I would tell you to read more and search for the link, but I'm feeling nice today. So I'll give you the link here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1460820. And I'll give you a friendly warning: around here and around most Android hacking forums, we expect even new users to read and research a lot for themselves instead of flashing things willy-nilly. Look to the link in my signature for some new user help. And remember to full wipe.
Also, I4G users can flash Desire HD ROMs. So you can try that forum out too. It's more active than this one.
I got it from google. and would you please let me know what to do? Can you give me the link of latest rom of ICS 4.0.4 link which will work on Inspire 4G and how can i root this 4G now? because i cant install your rom without Rooting.
Thanks

Well, you haven't answered the question of how it got unrooted. Not knowing how that happened, I don't know which of several solutions will work. For the rest read my edited post above. And look generally to the I4G and DHD Development forums for ROMs. Don't randomly flash stuff from Google. You run a pretty high risk of bricking your phone.
Hi bro, Thanks alot for your time, i am downloading this aospX-1.0.0-MR1-DHD.zip rom right now. and I just checked my iphone and i can see the recovery mode after rebooting my phone. but when i install root check app and it says your phone is not rooted. so any Idea what to do?

Er, your iPhone? Do you mean your DHD? You probably got your Superuser app deleted somehow from your current ROM, I don't know how, but once the ROM is flashed Superuser should be back, since the ROM will have it. Make sure you full wipe first, which means wiping or reformatting system, data, and cache (the exact method differs depending on your recovery). This will erase any data you have.
Also, did you use AAHK S-Off or HTCDEV bootloader unlock? The flashing method differs. And by the way, calling either option "root" is a misnomer. AAHK S-Off lets you flash anything to your phone. HTCDEV bootloader unlock lets you flash certain custom ROMs. They basically unlock hardware. Root is software. It usually comes with a ROM, though you could push the relevant Superuser.apk and su binary from your computer with adb if you really wanted to do so. You just can't flash a ROM (and usually people are looking to flash rooted ROMs) unless you have unlocked hardware with AAHK or HTCDEV. Look at the link in my signature, which has a very good guide on post #7, for more detailed information that you should probably know before you go mess with your device any further.
Yah Sir, my Inspire 4G had 2.3.3 as you know that and i did use AAHK to unlock bootloader before flashing 4.0.4. and as i said earlier i am using it now but rebooting. I do understand my questions frustrate you because i am noob.
What i am trying to ask you now that the link you have given me the latest rom one, Can i flash this one straight away after downloading because i have used AAHK before installing 4.0.4?

It should be rooted. Do you have an app called Superuser or SuperSU? And yes, you can install paid apps on any ROM, rooted or not.

...Um, no. Paid apps are still paid. That doesn't change with root. And XDA does not condone pirating. I meant that you could install paid apps in a rooted ROM just like you can on stock.
When you jailbreak an iPhone, you can get paid apps for free..that's probably what he meant or was curious to know

Well, he can pirate apps on Android all he wants regardless of whether he's rooted or not. Whether he should is a whole other question.
Well, I am agreed with MissB. Rooting the phone goes far beyond hacking 5 bucks apps. If the only reason is that he wants to pirate apps, then he is in the wrong place.
Besides, he needs to read a bit more before messing or infect with a virus his phone. Most of the apps have a lite version that is as good as the paid one with a little restraint on the features.
I reinstalled cm-7.2.0-ace.zip because ICS was a bit laggy and wasnt working fast. So i downloaded cm-7.2.0-ace.zip this rom and installed but I dont have Martket or google play icon in this rom. would you please let me know how to download and from where i can get it.

[Q] Help unlocking bootloader on Mac (or directly on device)? [4.1.2]

So I'm on a Mac, and I've gotten as far as rooting my phone from the grace of motochopper, and now I'd like to unlock the bootloader, so I can install Cyanogen. I've searched for a way to do it on Mac, and pretty much one thing has come up which is something called "Adam Outler's Casual", which I'm afraid to use, because it tells me it can brick my device, and I don't have the correct directions for it. As I said in the title, I'm running a Galaxy S3, on 4.1.2, on Verizon. Will this be compatible? I also found an article about something called "EZ-unlock", which I found out has been taken out of the play store, but I downloaded it from a thread on AndroidCentral named "[App] [9/20] EZ-Unlock 1.4 - Easiest way to unlock your bootloader!" (I can't post links yet, need 10 posts), and I can download any version of it. What is the best way to approach unlocking my bootloader without bricking my phone? I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me.

It won't break it, just hit unlock and it's done. Of course there's always a risk of something happening, but it's a very simple process and risk is pretty minimal.
