Minus (App) Better than dropbox

This app in my humble opinion is better than dropbox, ADrive, and others that probe that I can not remember.
for starters, you sign the easiest way and without confirmation, the system is completely free and never have to do upgrade by cost.
Input give you 10 gigs of space in the cloud, you get 1 gig extra friend you invite, reaching maximum 50 gigabytes.
From what I like most is that you can upload a single file of 1 gigabyte.
It is easy to use and share those files can do public or private.
The public can comment and like. can be partners and friends, go to a user or anyone to follow.
For this and more they recommend.

There seems to be loads of cloud storage popping up everywhere nowadays
Id much rather use a reputable one, Like dropbox, google drive, microsoft skydive (i think thats what its called ?)
I dont really fancy uploading precious photo's / documents to some homemade cloud storage server
also, android is google, everything i use is google, i like the whole idea of everything being together as one
google will rule the world one day !!

Why you say that? I use android on my N7000. First I register and then turn it down on my cel from the app store gogle play. works 100%

I don't want to upload important data to newer / lesser known cloud storage.
I already have Google Drive (use it to store important data, weekly reports etc) and Box and Drop Box : use it to share data.

Some people actually do not use online storage for sensitive data. I'm uploading old videos right now, they take up a lot of space so this is pretty useful.

Same theme but when I went back to stock to grab the MDL OTA, I actually entered my dropbox info at firstrun. Was in the sprint store the first time. Dropbox gave me "an additional 48GB" of space for registering the s4. No idea if this is wide spread or if I need to go get some scratch off tickets, b7t worth a try if you haven't already.

It's for all S4 owners as far as I can tell. But be aware that this additional fee space is for 2 years only. After that you'll either need to pony up to keep the space or delete files until you are back down to your pre - gratis48GB level. Still, 50GB of Dropbox for two years at no cost? I took it and ran.

However on the phone app side I really DON'T like this part:

I stopped using copy as when you read the user agreement they indicate that they have the right to use your content as they wish.... Dropbox is still golden for me.

Could you point out where that is stated? The Copy.com terms look just like Dropbox's terms to me.

There's an "invite friends/contacts to share a folder" option within the app. It uses the contacts for that functionality.

Dropbox does not say they will access (and save!) your contacts, calls messages and how many times you contact each. And when I installed Dropbox on my system it did not ask for permission to do so.

I see a huge difference one specifically says they can/will save your social contact and stats - that one is copy.
Again it's a choice to use the service or not I was just bring it up because it's so glaring and I don't/haven't installed apps that do that.

This, and any other, app that allows you to share information with your contacts will have that permission (and corresponding description) in its manifest (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, Box, Pocket, AirDroid, SoundCloud, EverNote).
I don't see any cause for concern, but everyone's tin foil hat is sized differently. :highfive:

Yea it is but open it in chorme and it will translate for you in english..its just two step procedure to create user name and password plus security question in case if you forget the password

What you are talking about ? Account and password is all you need to create which you do for every cloud storage app. Some people are just over cautious

Sweet 100 GB...and for free. NSA can spy all they want in that cloud, same goes for the FSB. I'll just keep my "less" sensitive stuff on this cloud.
After I signd up the these 100 GB, I wanted to see if I could find something even bigger...well 10 TB from Weiyun did the trick. Althou it's a tad more tricky to get signed up, it is possible to do so (firsthand experience) A good deal of the registration and UI of the cloud storage is capable of english. The android software lacks I'm afraid.

Do you trust them? I have very close Russian friends, they don't even trust the most of Russian sites and IPOs and apps in play stores. Forget about all NSA craps for a second...it is sad but it is a fact that whenever you see anything like cloud.ru or mail.ru, don't you even give a second thought before you sign up.

Like the guy before you posted, be it dropbox or this, I dont keep sensitive stuff there unless encrypted. Heck, does it matter if it ends on .ru? You think russian hackers or whatever go for the russian services more than things outside russia?

I personally use these storage to upload firmwares; apps; music videos movies etc so i dont see what could be the issues of privacy there? Can you elaborate ? No one use these storage to store information about their bank details; adress or phone numbers etc
I am using it for few weeks and its quiet good for those who lack internal space for music; videos and nandroid backups etc

I have a free account of 1TB at mail.ru and all I can say uploads work better than on google drive. Drive tends to freeze my tablet, where mail.ru is almost instant.

Let me try to Explain -
When we 1st log in G mail on New Phone
it ask to restore backed up Apps etc
If I Agree & cick Next...
it Auto Downloads Apps from before phone like all from since last 2yrs
BUT i want it to Only Restore the apps I have used on my last Phone
Cos i upgrade to new Phone every 6months
How do i sync my New Apps on Phone ?
Only the ones I have now on phone in my PlayStore.
Old apps appear in the Google PlayStore when i log in on PC
or on Phone when i go to My Apps
On Phone -
When i go to PlayStore/ My Apps - I see 2 Tabs 1) INSTALLED 2) ALL
in ALL it shows Lots of Old Apps
Do i need to individually remove Apps
for it to just show the recent Apps I have on My Phone

If you want to only restore certain new apps, deleting old apps in your app list is one way, another is you manual stop google auto restore after you click i agree and next (via play store, my apps, stop) then in the "ALL" tab, you can touch hold and make selection of which app you want to restore then click install (like how you select multiple photos in gallery). hope that helps

After the 2yr 50gb Dropbox promo, your account goes back to the size it was before the promo.
For ie, I had 10gb before the promo, it went back down to 10GB after the promo expired.
If the Dropbox account was new before the promo, I believe new accounts start out with 5GB.
2nd Question:
When you first login to your GMail account on your new Android phone, Google play will auto update all your apps.
Just click "Stop all" and manually install the apps you need.
To stop apps to auto update itself, go to Google play settings and disable "Auto-update" but enable "Notifications about update to apps or games that I downloaded" so that you have the choice of updating your apps or not.

I never went beyond my original 10GB limit, and so I don't know what happens to the extra data after the promo ends.
But I did get a fair enough amount of reminders from Dropbox that my 50GB promo was ending soon. Dropbox even gave me special discounted prices for their upgraded accounts

You have to turn on one of the animations (like diamond effect) when you choose an express me panel, then you see it when you tilt.

Go to the edge panel settings.
Choose Express Me.
There are a few default panels such as the diamond animation or the "My Galaxy Note Edge" panel.
Or, you can even customize your own.
The animation only works during the lockscreen

They stay and you have access to them but you do not have the ability to add any more without buying more space.

Easy
- On the bottom of the edge panel slide up to reveal the settings option which you want to select.
- Now select the Express me option and once there just select the edit button on the bottom of the current panel in use.
- From here just change the image to what you want.
- NOW to get the scroll feature select the effect option the select glass.
If you're looking for some nice images i definitely suggest downloading EVERYTHING EDGE from the Galaxy app store.

100gb onedrive still working

hello all,
well i ended up installing microsoft onedrive. It gave me 15gb like usual then i restarted my phone and i got an notification from onedrive saying that i am able to get t the 100gb added.
So i verified my account and now i have 115gb from them. so the 100gb is still working. Not sure if anyone talked about it, but i figure i would share

I got a 130GB of storage.
Install Onedrive through Galaxy App store, turn on the photo backup which will give you 30GB. Uninstall and install from the Play Store you will get the notice for the 100GB, when you sign in 130GB.

Actually, I just tried it on my wife's phone and with no One Drive previously installed on her phone, it displayed the offer and confirming that she wanted to use it gave her 130 GB. She didn't need to turn on camera backup and then uninstall and reinstall. This was for an existing One Drive account, but shouldn't matter if it was existing or new.

So what happens after the two years is over and we all "need" all this "free" space and suddenly Micro-god says you need to cough up $$$$$ to keep it?

(personal side note.. but if you feel like bashing the company, why use the service anyway?)
Much like dropbox if you lose space, nothing gets deleted; you just cant add more until you clean up and free space.

I followed your steps and received 30 but after the reinstall nothing xhanged.
I did find this disheartening message in settings ....

is this only apply on S6? I want to try on my S4 too..
