[Q] battery problem

Sir,i am from india my O2 xda atom,wm5 battery is poor performance ,so i want to replace it with another battery through wires,but my atom has 4 terminals my replacing battery has 3 terminals i am thinking "+" and "-" terminals give normally and leave other 2 terminals open,is it cause any damage please give me [email protected]

Best bet is to buy a replacement battery from cheap sites such as amazon/ebay. it it much cheaper and safer this way.

But sir ,I purchased new battery , there is problem in my phone it is charging only in switch off condition,when it is on the top light goes orange to green and charging symbol on today screen is also normal battery life is very less, so I am writing this,please tell me solution .

Very sorry mate, but unfortunately i do not have much technical knowledge on batteries. I suspect your device may be faulty. Perhaps try hard resetting the phone. I cannot gurantee it will work, but your battery driver may have broken... I'm not to techincal with drivers.. Sorry. Perhaps some else may help you out.

My phones battery draining a lot quicker...
100 to 0 in about 100 mins...
Prblm started 3 days ago...
I tried calibrating, nothing happened...
I also noticed that my battery has bulged a bit..

if battery is bulged then it should be problem with battery ..check health of battery. u can know this from many apps in google play.
if not, then these should the due to the rom..or heavy usage..

But its not even a year i hav taken the phone...
What shd b ideal health parameters fr the battery...
I do browsing and listen to music...
And lot of texting, nothing else...

it means that u overcharged it.. texting and browsing will not effect the battery this much.. u may overcharged it for more hours that it shud can with stand..
its better to change the battery i suggest u to not use it coz it may blast..
so purchase a new one and follow these steps for more battery life..
1) always charge the battery when the charge levels come below 20% well i suggest u to charge the battery when its at 15%...
2) and dnt remove the charging until its full that is remove the charging when it shows 100% in left side of status bar with a green logo..
follow these two instructions its enough..

Charging device rapidly may harm ur battery ..!!

Ya frm last 6 months I used to put my phone fr charging while gng to slp and unplug after I get up...

hmm thats the problem.. dnt put charging while u sleep bro.. coz overchargin for more time willl deteriorate your battery even some times it may blast.. so alway charge your battery when u are available... hmm there so many battery companies are there but i suggest u to tak the original samsung battery coz power output of other company batteries may change we cant trust they can efffect your phone, however the original one will cost u less than 500 i think..

one more thing u are on creeds 3.1 rite.. it has battery draining bug and its not yet fixed in this version it will be fixed in the upcoming versions sooo change the rom for now... i suggest fitdroid 3.5
go to your nearest samsung dealer.. ask him the price if u think the price isnt fair then go to other mobile shop ask him the price of the original battery and decide..
actually im new to bangalore thats the reason i cant tell u the specific address..

i know its not due to creeds.. but it shows a little effect too i used it, its a very nice rom but it eats the battery...

I need help !
I have my galaxy fit for 1 year and never had problems with it. I never instaled an custom rom or something like that..i only tried launchers. But for a little while i have a problem, my battery runs out very fast ! For example, after it's completed the charging i unplug it and if i have a phone call for 10 min the phone turns off, but after i plug the charger it starts charging from like 80%...i don't understand wheter it's a battery problem or a soft problem..
Please help !

First use other Rom.
If same problem then change your battery.I use fit with custom Rom since 2 year.no problem at all.

It is a little bulged in the middle..but it was that way since i bought it..Do you think that is the problem? And the back cover comes out really hard maybe that's the issue..

That's exactly is the problem...
U shd replace it...
If its less than 6 months from ur date of purchase, u can get a free battery replacement...
Else the new battery costs Rs.550 from SP Road, Bangalore...

A lot of people have said that their battery has swollen. If this is the case, then this could be dangerous for YOUR HEALTH.
If this happens, you SHOULD replace your battery.​
Q) Why would the battery swell up?
A) My phone's battery looks safe enough, so I do not know the perfect cause. But from the users who complained about this, I did notice that most of them just leave their phones plugged in, unattended, for more than 4-5 hours at end (Usually, they just leave it to charge overnight)
So, if you do this on a regular basis, then watch out!​
Q) How do I know if its swollen?
A) To know if its swollen, just see if the battery surface is smooth or not, from all the sides. If there is any swelling, you will notice it.
Also, if you get REALLY POOR battery life, (only 3-4 on single full charge, with light usage), then this could be an indication that you have battery problems. [Just to confirm, ask other fellow users how much usage they get on that rom and baseband, since this could happen due to ROM and kernel also.]​
Q) What do I do if it's swollen?
A) There is no other option but to replace the battery with a new one. I STRONGLY ADVICE to buy them from your local Samsung Service Center. Avoid online sellers, or other 3rd party batteries, as they may not be proper.​
Q) Any precautions that can be taken?
A) Yup, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PHONE TO CHARGE FOR LONG PERIODS, ALL THE TIME.

Not sure if you've read it, but the above is from my stickied thread...
30 mins is fine, heck even 2 hours is fine...
Avoid anything beyond 2...
If its plugged in for 2+, remove it and use it till battery reaches 60-65, then put it back again...
I'm on my second battery, coz the first one gave around 3 hours of uptime...

i just bought a new battery it's the same but i have doubts, so how to know whether it original or a fake coz i didn't buy it from samsung center.
i got it from a random tech shop

fake battery cover or paper is different and battery size is small or big and original battery cost about 690 rs in india

yeah so my battery is Fake no problem it's better that the one that i got with the device, as it lasts longer approximately 1 day with medium use of wifi and screen on time, i may not find the korean one easily nowadays maybe after the one i have start swelling like the old one :laugh:

Samsung batteries
True the original ones that come with the mobile are underperformer... they drain easily...i hv to recharge 2-3 times a day!
now the one i bought retains longer no to minimal use 20 hours
minimal to medium use ~10 hours
medium to heavy use max 6-7 hours
internet drains it faster...there is no solution yet....
i once tried micromax's 1800 mah battery it was fun using net , messaging, playing games,... it didn't fit in g-fit..
for better battery life charge it in cycles( A complete cycle means from 100% to 0%)
and try to charge it by keeping ur mobile in off condition( takes 4 hours max to charge 100%)
ITS A GOOD PRACTICE( but if u cant then dont run any app while charging)

hello guys i have some quires about the phone i love this phone very much
i have questions about this stock battery i have purchased a original battery from samsung service center but as i though it wont be a great because it is very hungry for charger if i charge at 6am in the morning with only 2g it lasts upto 3pm with surfing too much interenet if i use 3g it lasts upto 12am thats it i was so shocked..
so i need some good name of extended batteries which one i can use while going for picnic or daily use..so please help me all gurus and tehir chelas pls suggest me...
and one more thing my cell has fell down and its touch has broked from the upperside of but if i ask a shop keeper he is telling u have to change display only u cant change only touch so please answer for me also pls im waiting
my phone model is galaxy s4 i9500.

I'd suggest Anker batteries. I've used their normal ones and the're pretty good quality and not too expensive. Though, be prepared to double your phone size using any extended battery.
I think he's right. It would be very difficult to change only the digitized. It looks like you need to replace the entire display assembly.

You can't change the digitizer without damaging the amoled screen.
I ordered a new screen/frame from China for my phone, and it has been working great.
Just just move all the parts over to the new housing/frame and screw everything back together. It's super easy
