Hey Guys,
I flashed pawitp's new cm (left it lying since there was some cooking to be done ) when I came back to flash the gapps - the tab was just off. pressing the power button not a single buzz to indicate it turned on. i thought mb the power went out during flash (tho i was sure i was at 90% when starting flashing) so i attached the charger and tried again after 30 mins - no dice.
after a whole night charging no change - i tried the other options to boot it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861092) and charger and reset but it just wont turn on.
any ideas or off to acer with that thing?
edit:
no fastboot or anything works, when attached to any pc it won't be recognized - the tab is just off
thanks

I'll bet it's not off, but stuck in APX Mode. This requires a mainboard change from Acer. Same thing happened to Pawitp (see his OP).

You have all the indicators.
1. Black screen
2. Won't turn on
3. PC won't recognize it (have you checked device manager?)
Did you hold PWR for about 10 seconds, the release and hold it again? Any response?
The other possibility, is that is just plain died. On the 500/501, APX mode would be a black screen with a PWR light. But that was the 50x series. I'm not a pro on these 70x, and have most experience from the 50x, but Mate, it don't look good.

Hallo everyone,
I have a motorola Xoom wifi (mz604 i guess)... Once (almost 1 year ago) i installed the touch recovery and a ICS stock rooted rom.
It worked always fine.... today I went to check my email, and the xoom was off and i couldn't turn it on... I thought it was the battery, but when the battery is empty, when you try to turn the xoom on you see a red blinking led on the top (next to the front camera)...
But i put the xoom to charge, (the white led on the bottom went on) and when i came back home the led was green.
I tried to turn the xoom on, but surprise, nothing, no reaction, then y plugged the charger once again, and the bottom led went green, but i still can't turn the tablet on.
I tried all keys combinations that are possible.... Power + Volume up, Power + Volume down, Power + Volume Up and Down, Just volume down, Just volume Up, both volume keys...
Then i tried to connect the xoom to the PC, and also no reaction, nothing in the Device Manager.... (i have Windows 8)
Someone have an idea to solve this problem? Or is my tablet really dead?
Thank you very much.

Might sound a bit basic, but when you did the key combinations, did you hold the buttons down for 5-10 seconds? I think power plus volume up is reset button.

Hi Luinwethion,
My Xoom is in the same state you described. It happened this morning. There is a white light while charging and a green light after some time. I didn't get any response, with any keys combination.
Have you fixed yours?
Can you send me any tip to bring it to live again?
Thanks in advance.
JP
Take the back cover off, on the bottom side of battery there are two wires-black&red- take them off the socket for 10minutes, when you connect it back again xoom should work!
Quick q: do you hear that click sound when pressing power button?
I have the same problem , my xoom went off without doing anything and it doesn't boot up!
does the disconnecting battery fix the problem ?
What rom you;

I'm in the same boat - the Xoom (USA WiFi) hung up while playing music - I rebooted it (power+up volume) it recovered, but then all the apps started crashing - I rebooted it again and it did not boot - just a blank screen. Battery light shows a charge when connected to a charger.
Does someone have instructions on how to remove the back cover?
Tom

It looks like the latest Google Play Services updated has dropped support for our Xoom's
Mine loads, then more GAPPS errors thank you can shake a stick it - if i let the screen time out following a forced reboot it doesnt come back on.
Gutted.
I have a Xoom wifi (EU version). I rooted and installed EOS2 long time ago. The tablet never gave a problem, and it is only used to play angry birds, youtube, facebook, play movies,etc..
Yesterday my son was watchig a movie (Video Player app) and suddely the screen went black.I tried to reset (power+ vol up) and nothing!!...power+ vol down do not do anything as well.
If I plug it in the charging LED turns on (white first, then green).
WHAT CAN I DO? Thanks in advance!
What about holding power+vol up+vol down? Does that do anything?
Break me off a piece of that Kit-Kat ROM!

I've been here a few times. This thread has proven a life saver on more than one occasion. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34076562&postcount=1
You have already completed the necessary steps to get you to
5. Reboot your phone. The charging light will no longer be on, and you should be stuck on a black screen.
So start from the "Enumerating your partitions"
If you get stuck there is plenty of help up and down the thread that follows these instructions.
If this method doesn't work you will need to get it jtagged. Do a google for Jtagging services near you.
Good luck
