Jabra bt headset not working with skype - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I have connected a jabra bt2015 headset to my ics tf101 but no sound comes out of it. I looked into the settings and it said something about 'phone audio' as an available profile. apparently sometimes this says 'media' is an available profile too.
Does anyone know how I can make this bt device available for media? It's only mono as it's an in-ear phone type headsetty thing which I'm guessing might have something to do with it.
I want to use it for skype, which has a little bluetooth icon when I'm in call which supposedly allows me to select my headset for skype chat but it instantly reverts back to speakers as soon as I select it. I'm wondering if the skype application wants a 'media profile' headset and not a phone one?
Anyone else had similar issues?
Thanks.
Ben

Using BT headset as "Audio Gateway"

I used an HP iPAQ 6955 (WM5) for nearly 2 years prior to my newly acquired Touch Pro. It had the ability to use my BT headset as an "Audio Gateway" which is EXTREMELY convenient when using a GPS NAV application as you get the directions in your ear, rather than through the phone's speaker.
I can't seem to find anywhere on the Touch Pro to enable this "feature"? My BT headset works great for calls, but I cannot get any other audio sent to the headset.
Ideas?

Go and look for BTAudio.cab. It's what you're looking for.

one bund the a2dp able headset to the pda
and go into bluetooth settings and tab and hold it
and choose wireless stereo headset
and all sounds are transfered to the headset
I am having the same trouble. I'm trying to stream internet radio from my Fuze to my car through the bluetooth. I can send/receive calls and everything is great but can't play music. When paired the option for Stereo Headset is grayed out and it only works as a regular earpiece. I have tried the Blue Music and BT audio with no luck. Neither one worked.
Any other ideas?

Have you done it (using BTAudio) the right way? You have to connect your BT headset FIRST and THEN start the BTAudio application and switch it to on. Don't forget to switch it to off afterwards.

Your car's bluetooth system may not support streaming audio. Mine does not, even though it pairs in stereo with my fuze.

I read the manual and it says that it does support streaming music if the phone supports it. So I assume there is something needed in the phone. I looked in the Advanced Config Tool 3.3 and under the Bluetooth category there are two services listed for Audio Gateway and that is disabled by default. Is that something that could be the problem?
Works great!

Finally got around to installing the BTAudio earlier this week, and it works great. I now get the GPS directions in my Bluetooth headset, as well as other audio alerts, like new e-mail and SMS alerts.
Only gripe is that after answering a phone call, you have to stop and start the BTAudio app again. Guess it's the price of getting what I want?

It might be. Enable it and see what happens.

[Q] Skype + Bluetooth Headset

Has anyone been able to use any type of bluetooth headset with the xoom and skype or google video?
I never have been able to, and was hoping that the latest update would allow it. I can hear through it around 50% of the time but they can never hear me.
Thanks.
i use my bluetooth headset with google talk in video mode. Was a pain in the ass to get it to work, but google talk does support headset protocol.
Same problem here with skype, at first I could hear the ringing thru the headset but once the call connected I got nothing
XOOOOOOOMIN!
btmono in the market sends audio. I've heard it also routes mic input from the headset, but haven't tried. Give it a shot.

[Q] Redirect (nav) audio to buetooth

Hi there,
I want to have my GNote to send all audio over bluetooth to my car (new Alfa Giulietta) which has the Fiat Blue&Me system.
The phone and car are connected and I can do phonecalls within the car, so this
setup works.
I've found a programm called BTMono which should work, but not with my setup.
If I switchon BTMono, the phone becomes quiet ut there i no sound from the car stereo.
Somebody else has done it with blue&me, and he gets a unknown phone call
in his car-screen when he redirects the audio (hesh.am/2012/04/stream-audio-from-an-android-phone-to-a-fiat-equipped-with-blue-me-via-bluetooth/)
I think the car must think that it's an actual phonecall, so the phone must send the proper commandos to the car.
Does anyone have any suggestion on this?
same here
It happens the same thing here. GM Cruze LTZ. Wouldn't it be that BT on it wouldn't be able to stream audio, just phone calls?
Normally it would
Normally it would, but with apps like BTMono it should be possible to stream audio to a bluetooth headset or carkit like the Parrot.
So I thought that blue&me could work for me also, but it doesn't

Using BT headset microphone

Is there any way to get my BT headset to permanently act as the microphone for the tablet? I've been searching for apps, but couldn't turn out anything in particular. It's a rooted one, and "use for phone sound" is checked in BT settings for the headset.
Any ideas? You'd think someone else would have a similar problem - or is it just a problem with the headset's capabilities?
My sennheisers work fine...

[Q] A bluetooth work-around needed?

Hello everyone,
I have a specific problem with a bluetooth device and with my limited knowledge I haven't worked out how to fix it, so I am asking for your help. I will explain it best I can...
I have a third-party bluetooth stereo in my car that has a built in mic for voice calls. However, the microphone is of terrible quality and as it's in the stereo unit it's quite far from me when I'm driving meaning it is almost useless to use for voice calls. Because of this I purchased a seperate good quality bluetooth speaker/mic that fits on to the car's sun visor. The problem I have is when I get in to my car my phone connects to the stereo only and not the small speaker. I want my phone to connect to the stereo via b/t so I can play my music through it, which is great, but not for voice calls. I see in the b/t options on my phone (HTC One) that you can check/uncheck boxes for the type of connections, in this case 'Phone Audio' and 'Media Audio'. If I just have the Media Audio setting checked, the phone fails to connect to the stereo at all, not even for music, so in order for it to automatically connect to the stereo I need the Phone Audio option enabled too, causing it to then not connect to the seperate device, thus diverting all calls through the stereo, which is really inconvenient. There are no options within the stereo that isolates these individual settings.
Are there any apps or methods you can advise me on that will allow my phone to connect to the stereo automatically but with voice disabled? I have looked in to Tasker but I am not skilled enough to work out how to set it up, so if this is the best option can somebody talk me through this please?
I appreciate the help on this, and I hope I've explained it adequately.
Simon
