I have tried WiFi Calling AOSP for ICS on JB and it doesn't work. Has anyone got WiFi Calling to work with jellybean? If not is there an alternative you use to receive calls and text messages?
It doesnt work yet. The ics wifi calling apk isnt compatible with jb.
So until t mobile releases a jb rom with an updated wifi calling apk that can be ported to the sensation its not going to work.
But fear not. They will releasr one sooner than later and the working apk will be readily available here for download

I can't wait!! I hope before October it gets release
I think that will happen. Rumors are that the galaxy s 3 will have basic jelly bean code ready to ship around the end of august. Give t mobile another month to fiddle with that update before pushing an ota to the gs3. Once that comes out with wifi calling devs will port it to the sensation very quickly im sure.

you can use groove ip it uses a Google voice account and Google voice number and works on jellybean and is free

Hi guys, first time here, never used forums before so please bare with me. Relatively new to rooting scene but I had something weird happen. I own the T-Mobile S3 and I had flash the Deodexed_UVLI8 Rom. Wifi Calling and everything. Accidently or I cant really remember how I flashed on it CM10_M1. Apparently now I am running a CM10 rom with wifi calling, but the boot animation is that of the stock rom. I cant be sure of that and don't know how to test it but the stock rom was causing some problems for me and I do remember flashing cm10. After that it did surprise me that the boot animation hadn't changed but all my phone problems had disappeared and wifi calling working flawlessly.
Can anyone think if that's possible? Also is it possible to extract the wifi calling application from this rom and install it on a fresh cm10 rom?
I am sorry in advance if this sounds stupid to anyone.

Does it work? You can install the wifi calling apk on any device. It will show up and have an icon, but it wont actually work and will usually just force close after you start it

Can anyone confirm if this worked.
WiFi calling relies on more than the apk alone. It requires the compatable lib files also

Hey guys, this is a little app I've done. Hope you like it
I don't know if it will work in every device/version (but it should). If you tested it, please report whether it's working or not (please post device, android version and kernel).
Have you ever forgotten your network's password? Did someone else set it up, and you need yo know which you pass is?
With Wi-Fi Reminder, that will never happen to you. It has a very simple and intuitive user interface, and it's extremely easy to use!
All you need to do is launch the app, give root permisses, and in a few seconds you can see all the networks you have previously been connected to with it's password.
It has two languages: English and Spanish.

(Some passwords were blurred out for obvious reasons )
It also allows you to easily forget the network, and to export the password to a plain text in "/sdcard/networks.txt".

Beta3 uploaded
I've just uploaded beta3. But this time I've made two versions: beta3 and beta3_logger. The only difference is that the logger version will create a file named "WiFiReminder.log" in the root path of your storage (/sdcard/, for example) with some things that hopefully will help me make it compatible with more devices.
Apart from that, in this version I've added another algorithm to try improve compatibility. Apart from that.. I don't thinks there's nothing I can do without that actual device. Sorry
If beta2 is already working.. there's no need to install beta3. Otherwise, please install the logger version and send the log through PM please.

Sprint VVM T.5.3.0.32
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original Post:
I didn't see this anywhere else yet, so I figured I'd post it.
I got notified of a VVM update today. Apparently it 'fixes minor issues and provides a better user experience.'
I just have to check and see if it works on ICS - that would be BRILLIANT!! (I doubt it, though)
EDIT: Nope, it doesn't work on ICS, but someone got the official ICS version here (thanks to moonzbabysh): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23752333

I was on the stock ROM when I got the notification. I'm pretty sure it'll work on any ROM where VVM has already been provisioned. MikRunny v1.0.0 is a 3.5 ROM where VVM works. You can find it here.

Have you been able to determine if this works with ICS-based roms?
Thanks for the post btw.
Flashed derpxl 3.5 ROM got update notice as soon as ROM booted up so I updated and yes it works! Not sure if its cuz the Android version is 2.3.3 and not 2.3.5, was running Radiance 6.1 with old vvm from a TB but received no update so I will try another 3.5 with 2.3.5 and see. Maybe its because vvm was built into derpxl...I don't know?

Do you have the option in Settings to allow installing from unknown sources checked? Is your device rooted? If so, you can move the APK over to /system/app manually.
Can anybody verify if this works with CM7 nightlies? Considering you can't install the old VM by itself and it work properly, you'd have to use the GApps+VM from Deck.

Yes, it works on CM7 nightlies. Installed on the latest CM7 nightly and it provisioned successfully on its own. I called and left a VM right after and it popped up in the app.
Just an FYI for anyone having trouble....
I had to take the -1 off the name of the apk posted in the OP (making it the exact same name as the apk already installed) and then it installed without issue.
It does install successfully with CyanogenMod 7.2 ROM, but I have been using Google Voice for a long time, and Google Voice does not seem to want to give up control over voicemail.

OP updated to new VVM version!
Had to rename old vvm in system/app with .bak then rename this new one to vtt-sprint copied to system/app change permissions to rw-r-r and change ownership to root and root quick reboot. But successful on cm9 jmz!

Sprint VVM
I just downloaded and installed over the older version. With all the trouble I've had with VVM, I never thought it would work! But it does! I'm running Team D.I.R.T. Remics with Mason.
I just noticed I cannot personalize the playback screen to have speaker on as default. No biggie, as I can manually click the speaker icon.
Just an fyi.
I have been using youmail for a while now. I have the new vvm installed. I went into youmail settings and returned the voice mail back to the carrier. I call my voice mail to set it up and all I get is a busy signal. Any suggestions?

I appear to be getting only 1x data and not 3g. I have experienced this problem on the fascinate build also.
Downloading apps from the market seemed to be a problem when on the data network. When I go to download an app, a warning pops up saying the file is too big, i select "start downloading" but it has already canceled the download. This is also an issue on the fascinate build also. I still dont know how to disable the warning.
In the status bar, it says "Roaming Indicator Off" where it should say US Cellular.
Also, when under about phone<status, it says network unknown. This is not a huge problem but just something to fix maybe.
I have experience some miui.home force closes. I get shot back into the app that i was in. Then i rehit the home button and miui.home launches.. it kinda weird but has only happened twice since last night.
As far as that, everything appears to be working fine/ same as the fascinate build.

I'm curious about wifi calling too.
For giggles I tried flashing the apk over viper rom. No wifi calling. Mobile tether actually blue-screened my laptop... weird.
Hopefully someone will figure out how to port wifi calling to custom sense based roms soon.

WiFi calling is more than a couple files, this is tmob based. So all of the other files are there, you would need to do a lot more than transfer files over to get WiFi calling on a non T-Mobile Rom.

Wondering, is this flashable via Odin and would it then be okay to flash back if needed via Odin also?
Just wanted to clarify that because it's technically stock firmware if it increased the flash counter or not

It's a CWM/TWRP flashable package. Don't worry too much about the counter crap. The only time you should ever bother about that is if you have to send your device in.

Are all have 9GB free space (16GB partitioned) ?

To clearify mine isn't a rom, its an installable deodex package that deodexes your current rom! So its more a mod.
Are they completely stable with everything working? This will be my first Sammy root/flash. Been holding out for the Google experience is it worth flashing now or waiting a bit for bugs to get ironed out

One thing I didn't like about JanJan version is that there are a number of things we need to flash to make it work.
It doesn't come rooted either.
All I did was flash the KT-Kernal along with the rom, and everythings been running smooth

Oh yessss
But I don't think I'll be flashing of these.
I like the features of TouchWiz, and everything looks great thanks to master Vertumus
I've flashed two separate ROMs so far, and both are completely smooth except for one problem: I can't get mobile data to work.
Wifi works great, and when I'm connected through wifi the signal bars in the status bar turn blue. But as soon as I deactivate wifi, the signals turn grey and all Internet capabilities are lost. So, naturally, as soon as I'm outside of wifi range I can't use the Internet.
I'm still able to send messages and make phone calls.
Could this be a problem with the kTweaker kernel? I'm with Telstra in Australia.
Thanks
