Hello there
This is Google Now:

Follow this guide here to get you started:

Known bugs
When using Voice, it will not search, you need to hit "Try again" for it to work.
A bit laggy
I believe the bugs appears because it's not made for ICS. But maybe there are just some settings that need to be played with to get this to work, who knows!
Lets gather all Google Now discussions here in the future! And hope we can get this awesome app to work on our Galaxy R

Buddy y u r creating duplicate posts about same thing
U have already started thread regarding this in general, u should wait till MOD moves ur old thread.

[I9003][REQ]Video on flashing XXKPE

I know that this thread is pretty much extra but I am unable to flash it(I followed the guide and did not miss a single step).[XXKPE that is...]
So I need someone who have successfully flashed this to post a video of you showing the whole process of flashing it.
Thanks!!
For someone who claims to have ported CM7, I'm sure this should be an easy feat for you, Why do you need a video

I did the same thing using Camtasia. Then I realized the guide is useless because people want to see the phone's reaction and what happens. They already know what Odin's job is :\
Hmm...I see..Then, I don;t think i will be risking of re-flashin my FW..I can show you the odin part of it!
You can do one thing..Tell us where you are stuck and we can help you out?
..Thats what I thought so rohan LOL.

[TIP] Notification Bar = Brightness Slider

I'm guessing that many of you guys already know this, but as this is not posted anywhere else in our forum, I'd like to post here, since I found this just randomly.
Touch your status/notification bar for a second (do not pull down) and then slide left/right to decrease/increase your screen Brightness.
Cool Right !!
NOTE : Auto Brightness should be turned off for this to work.
While posting this thread I saw few threads on other Phones' forums about this tip, and from the responses, I see many guys were not aware of this. So I think this thread will make some sense.
It’s working...... really cool man....
Yup its a known trick, it even works when using the stock ROMs.

Is anybody read the instruction to SGR? It's in there ))))
As far as I am aware, this is only present on Samsung phones. I tried with my friend's DHD, his Arc S and his Galaxy Note. Only worked on his Note.

I dont think all Samsung fones have this option. I tried on my friends Ace - didnt work.
And I saw few threads for some HTC fones also having this option..

I second that it doesn't work on Ace though it was a while back that I had checked it, so a new update might have added this feature for them too.
Will check & update you guys here.

It's already in the FAQs buddy.
Galaxy SL has the brightness control feature. That runs TouchWiz 3.0, as far as I know.

It doesnt work for me on stock ROM. I have however removed a lot of stuff with titanium backup, which might be the reason for this.
Any suggestions as to why it doesn't work for me?

One hard and long way would be to restore those one by one and see what brings back the feature.

Yeah, I guess so.
At the moment, I'm waiting a few weeks before switching to one of the custom ROMs which are currently being developed and tested. I think I'll live without this brightness feature until then Although it sounds really nice.
Very Nice. Thanks for the Tip.
Gesendet von Unterwegs!
Thank you! Very useful, I've seen the slide in my honeycomb GT and I miss this option on the R.

CM9 & 7 are ported from galaxy mini and have mini's drivers. Try to exchange the bluetooth.apk with OPP.apk from ur STOCK ROM.:good::good::good::good::good::good: Now LISTEN!!! I mean READ!!! You'll have to make some changes in the opp.apk using winrar in its framework and stuff. I'll talk to white XP 'bout that. WiFi too the same thing but I got a message from somewhere that 0.5 CM9 version is getting launched from some hell!!! Since whitexp was on a vacation till march I'll have a talk with now as it is my holidays now!!!!!! We'll work on that.:highfive:

[Q] Best Rom For Gaming On Our Galaxy 3

Hey Guys. How Are You All.Ok now my question may seem nasty to some but i really need your advice.im searching for a rom froyo,gb jb i dont mind all i want from it is that
1.it should be lag free hence must have good speed(overclocked).
2.i want to do intensive gaming on it so it should support fimg and all and ofcourse chainfire3d.
3.battery life should be good and it should be stable.
4.if it will have gb or jb looks it would be cool
I know im asking too much but still............:silly:
Most obvious choice acc. to my above needs will be a froyo rom now the question is what will it be????
Awaiting your replies and thanks in advance
If cm6.2 rom is completely ported, i'm sure you can enjoy all that you've mentioned.

I think he means that if cm6.2 has a complete stable build your wishes can be fulfilled. But atm it doesnt.
For gaming I think froyo is the best. Cm7 + Will work on selective games only
