[Q] Port EclipseRom to SGS II VZW?

Is there Anyone here who would be able to or willing port the Eclipse Rom over to our phone??
Nitro said he'd be willing to do it, but he needs a device..
If we could port his ROM over.. That would be great.. Or maybe the better thing to do is start a bounty to get him a phone??

Check the "other site" for a ROM called baked ROM. Its a blacked out aosp/aokp/cm kang project and it runs pretty awesome. Tons of options.

Checkout the EclipseRom forums www eclipserom com (I can't post links yet) but there's a donation thread up for getting Nitro a device.
The sooner we raise the $$ the sooner he gets a phone in his hands..

Guys, we still don't have a fully functional build. We need to get Nitro an S3, as building blind will only get us so much.

I am still working on getting this going on the s3. During testing I have feedback that it will boot but having some touchscreen issues among a few other things. Slowly but surely!

I can't wait. I ran eclipse on my Droid charge and my RAZR. When I see eclipse on for the s3 I will be a happy man.
Do we have a bounty set up yet or should I send my donation straight to nitro?

[Q] How long before root packages become available after phone launch?

Thinking about pre-ordering the S4, but don't know how long it will take for a stock rooted package to come out. What's the average time?

Well, 1 this would be better asked in the s4 section. 2, it's probably already available. All that you gotta do is add the files to a stock package.

What I meant is aside frrom the version I listed tmibile nd att take longer to push ota because the

They actually have to push it fast because the smartwatch doesn't run without it. It needs Bluetooth 4.0 which android 4.3 supports.

Being my S4 is through ATT I don't look for the update anytime soon...

Vzw just started it's pre sale of the smart watch today. Att will not be far behind

I went into best buy to the Samsung experience center to have them flash mf3 cause I jacked mine up and the guy told me as soon as the note 3 is released they will have the ability to push the new 4.3 update to the s3 and s4 he said it'd b awhile before att gets it ota but to bring it in and he'll do it

turbo boost rom

Instead of increasing my zram, I found this triple swap mod that really seems to make my ROM run smoother.

OK so nobody knows what device you have cause its not in your profile.
I have the I337 S4 updated to MF3 using Safestrap and tried this mod .it states that the I337 is not supported so what made you post it if its not tested for our model?not trying to come off rude so please excuse me.

Alright, the dev provided me a pre-release version for testing and it is working on my s4! i must say i noticed a difference in response & do not experience any lag anymore but i am still evaluating

Doesn't RAM MANAGER PRO allow you to accomplish this? Set SWAP FILE to/cache and size to 32/64/128 or whatever you want?

Well, not everyone got the update since Samsung suspended the new update due the issue that the update has. So we hope the best to come.
Do you mind if I ask why did you update your phone?

There is some root methods as they have been talked about, although its questionable if they are truly malware or not. But many people on the VZW S4 side have used it including these cleanup tools to remove any traces of the supposedly malware side. So its upto you to decide if you want to use that method or not. That's about all we can say here on this as we cannot link to those methods right now as the moderation team is trying to evaluate if those root methods are malware or not.

Cause I'm the type of guy who wants stability... And if there's an update that will provide such stability, then I'm all for it. And aslo, despite all the post going around about it being almost impossible to root after taking the update, I just didn't believe it to be so. Oh, and also because I'm a bit of a risk - taker as well! ?

I also can confirm this. Worked fine for me too.
Just a side note, I have heard good luck from using SuperUser OTA Survival mode in MF3 then upgrading to MJ9.

Call AT&T (or visit their service center) and get your phone replaced (if under warranty). I told them what happened, and they switched mine without a problem. They said a lot of people have been switching their phones for the same reason.
