Sense 4 + CM9? - HTC Sensation

Just to be sure .. Does it exist any ROMs based on CM9 or Stock ICS with Sense 4 Launcher and statusbar? It would be the perfect combination between "design" and stability ..

Sense stuff requires sense framework, which CM9 doesnt have.
And I agree with the above, I know for a fact I've answer at least 3 questions pretty much the same as this so next time, please use a brilliant tool called search.

Well when the people who leave are the people who laugh at every dumb question rather than take the time to educate someone, perhaps xda is better off without them.
Remember...you were new at this too at one point. Im sure you have asked plenty of questions in your life that more experience people thought were stupid.

ive asked my fair share of noob questions which results in one of two responses:
1. someone answers the noob question with an obvious answer
2. someone tells me im a noob and should stop being lazy and search more because all my questions have been answered before
want to take a wild guess at which response helped me become less of a noob?

First of, xda's purpose was NEVER to educate. And it still isn't. Just because people like you are educating for whatever pathetic reason they might have it doesn't change ANYTHING about this fact.
And second, if you seriously think you are helping to make this place better, then you're lunatic. This place WAS better. But since Android became more popular, this place began to fill with lazy idiots and literally turning it into swamp.

Unlocked Bootloader OTA in August

Well, it looks like HTC is gonna make me eat my words.
http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150305151453084
**We’re thrilled to announce today that software updates to support bootloader unlocking will begin rolling out in August for the global HTC Sensation, followed by the HTC Sensation 4G on T-Mobile USA and the HTC EVO 3D on Sprint. We’re in the testing phase for the unlocking capability now, and we expect it to be fully operational by early September for devices that have received the software updates. We'll continue rolling out the unlocking capability over time to other devices as part of maintenance releases and new shipments.**

How did I flame him by saying to use the search feature and telling him we really didn't need another thread on this topic because there are at least 3 already that were created before his? Umm that's not flaming.. I wasn't rude or nasty. I just said "how about using that search feature? Did we really need another thread on this topic? Like the other 3 didn't get the message across?" How is that flaming him? I didn't name call or put him down in anyway, just it seems in this forum(sensation) people create more duplicate threads then the other device sections I frequent. It clutters up the forum with redundant information and makes it tougher to shift through all the same crap to find a useful thread.

Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
You know I have noticed more and more rude and sarcastic and flaming remarks as of late. I wonder if short tempers and faultfinding could be attributed to the following:
1. Locked Boatloader ( No definite time frame for resolution)
only vague promises and comments
2. No permanent root(temp root only)
A. No S=off for the majority so no custom roms etc.
3. Htc making vague statements and time frames(even the last blurb gave no real time frame for the US Sensation) and no realistic end in sight.(Hypothetically at least 2 months or more away, at least) Which leads to Feelings of hopelessness..
4. A great phone but many many issues(lots of returns and replacements)
5. Indecision as to whether to keep the phone or not.
Just some thoughts I know I have felt this way and if some of the above were addressed and accomplished I would have a better feeling about keeping the device and a better outlook about the situation in general.
Lets not take the circumstances surrounding the phone out on each other.

Elitism was probably a poor word choice for your argument, mate.
I mean, I don't mind chastising people for asking questions that have already been answered, really - even when it takes about 5 seconds of effort to just answer it again. But "elitist" is probably a bunch of internet addicts flipping their **** over the fact that someone DARED to violate the sacred holy rule that you don't dare ask a question twice... or thrice.... or.... three thousand times.
Guy 1: Hi Guys! Gee, when's CM coming out?
The Community: RAAAAAAAAAR! HULK SMASH! LOL U R TOO STUPID TO SERCH GOGLE WHAT A NOOB. COMMON GUYS LET'S GO BACK TO CLUBHOUSE
Mostly, I'm just fooling around. I want people to search first and not make stupid posts too.... but the thing is, I AM and elitist. The guy asking the innocent question - probably not so much.
Keep in mind that this forum's search feature SOMETIMES doesnt work. Ive seen many times that it was either down or claiming to have found no results when it knows damn well that there are results. Its pretty frustrating.
Matt
this is true, but had he even GONE to the dev thread, he would have seen 1 cm thread and 2 gb2.3.5 ASOP threads on the first page alone..."searching" doesnt always entitle usage of the search function, but just simply browsing the appropriate threads

Well said my friend. The unfortunate fact of the internet is that in every forum (without fail) there is a very small group of self righteous pricks that troll around looking for people to "yell" at. Instead of simply ignoring a thread like hundreds or even thousand of other members do, they claim to speak "for the community" and insist on making a big scene and being obnoxious. Clearly the less duplicate threads on a given board the better, but the effort some of these guys put into not actually answering (or helping) someone is astonishing.

this is a terrible fact of XDA these days, and while ignoring it is easy enough, there are LOTS of ppl who feel that this is their "home" turf, that must be defended at all cost (im not one of them )
but the bigger problem is new members who dont even read the rules or guidelines for using the forums, they just register, dump their Q's or demands and expect an easy answer, when the answer is sitting literally right in front of them.
i do repect what aspects of the "community" that are left here with some of the most amazing devs for anything that ive seen in a long time, their ingenuity and determination is second to none (and that includes OEM manufacturers )
having said all that, this thread is dead and delt with, and hopefully the OP now knows to do a just a *little* browsing before asking a question he might/should already know the answer to, unless he's a troll, in which case, back under the bridge with him

we did help him, and hopefully he learned something along the way. i consider "iron fist" the responsibilty of not just mods/admins, but all experienced forum goers.
and if you saw sensation forum before and just after the sensation came out, you would be mildly pestered with posts like this...im not saying were better than him at all, but i, like many others, had to learn the hard way when it came to the etiquette of XDA.
5 minutes of browsing (not even searching) could have avoided this fiasco of a thread, which i do admit im mildly ashamed to be continuing, but i digress, it may have seemed harsh, but it could have been A LOT worse

Sebastians new overclocked kernels

Has anyone ran any of the new overclocked Sebastian kernels. If you have how where they are they more for performance or battery saving and did you use then on a sense or senseless rom.any input, feedback on these o.c. Sebastian kernels would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G with Beats Audio using xda app-developers app
Use the god dam Sebastian Thread for asking questions about his kernel, it's what its there for, or even just read and you will get your answer.
It's time to do a Stats check to see if you are spamming with pointless threads...
Hi, It's really best to try these kernels out for your self and see what performance or battery life you get out of them. Every user is different with lots of different variables like different roms, over or under clocking, heavy users, light users, different mods and tweaks, even different batteries ! So what is working for some may not be what's best for you. Therefore It's always best because of the many variables some I mentioned above, to try things out on your own. You will get a much better answer that way instead of asking others about their experience. Just like with roms, what works for one might not work for another. We are all individuals with our own likes and dislikes and different tastes so please remember It's always best to form your own opinion on these kinds of things. I truly hope this helps, also the fun part is discovering new things for yourself. So in the future just give things a try and form your own opinions. I wish you the best! Just trying to help you out .

Depending on what you are doing, the phone can get very hot. Its due to a bad motherboard design with no means of heat dispersion. 3 dimensional games and browsing flash heavy websites will make it warm. Some intense games like RealRacing2 can heat it up so much it will burn your thumb on the screen.
Download System Tuner by 3c and go to the CPU section. There will be a graph and a figure of the CPUs temperature. This is handy if you have an aftermarket battery that doesn't have a temperature sensor like Anker. Anything up to 62'c is safe but if it stays there long the screen will heat up and burn your thumb tip if you hold them near the bottom due to playing a game.
Hope I helped!
Thanks man. I do have an aftermarket battery.

Nope more probably, the mod is probably removing them but they appear faster than he can remove them...I swear people like the OP are illiterate somehow, like seriously...
OP please, next time you make a thread, READ THE SUGGESTIONS given as you type the title, is stops people from making extra threads, thanks...also seeing as you're on mobile, maybe consider when you next make a new thread, do it on PC so you actually see those suggestions, granted the XDA app isn't all that great for that...
