Being a noob as I am I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy Ace before noticing that there are different models with the same name. My phone is the GT-5839i which I later found that it still doesn't have any files to root, unroot or upgrade the firmware. Unfortunately I've only found that after rooting the phone and now I don't have any sound when using applications like youtube or the music player. Is there any way to solve the problem. Thanks.
Turns out that I don't ave any sound at all. Not even ring tones and notifications. I've found that I have sound on the headphones but not in the speaker.

I'm using Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 running on XWLA4_CheckromRevo_HD_V6. It is the best rom I used ever. I hadn't faced any problems except on gtalk app. When I try for audio or video chat from talk app, sound is only through loud speakers. I can't use head set or speaker phone, no bluetooth headset too. I am a newbie in Android phones..i just got A [Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 s6500D] 2weeks ago and i was encouraged to root my phone and install [Rhan's Rom Iced Plus v3.2.5] from sir payas0's thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1895153) and sucessfully installed it on my phone..before I did that( when I just received the phone from my brother), i tried to use my BH-503 in this phone and it worked perfectly, and tried it as well as in my sister's Galaxy Ace Duos..but when I rooted my phone and installed this ROM, the bluetooth headset DOES PAIR and CONNECT, but still when I play music through the Music Player, the sounds came out it the speaker of the phone and not in my bluetooth headset..I hope you can help me through this matter..thanks!
Radio Like Buzzing White Noise Coming Instead Of Sounds both from speakers & headset In Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 rooted with stock rom i recently tried installing beats audio app java j2me & Jbed in it after that the problem starts i uninstalled those apps also i restored the phone but still the problem exist , earlier it was working fine also it was showing android is upgrading messege at every boot
Apps like Soundcamp (by Samsung itself) and Heat Synthesizer plays sound though the speakers, even though the headphones are connected. Other apps, like Spotify behaves correctly, so this is be a software case.
I have tried to install a 3rd party audio control app to fix this, but it did not help. The app was Sound About, and yes I rebooted the phone after installation.
Any one else experienced this? And more importantly, how can I fix this?

For some reason the volume is so low compared to stock, anyone know how to fix that, I've tried searching for /device/etc/sound but the sound file doesn't exist? Any help guys/gals
Any solution to this?
I recently bought a used Galaxy S3 that worked great, until I upgraded from 4.1 to 4.3. This bricked my device sound (speakers, headphones, video playback would skip and freeze with no audio) except for bluetooth, which worked fine and allowed for videos to work as well.
I upgraded to Cyanogenmod 12.1 which didn't fix the sound, and actually broke the bluetooth.
I figured I would try the tutorials for low sound issues and through ES File Explorer I discovered that, like RandOmCookie above, I had no sound folder at “/device/etc/sound”. There is a file there called audio_policy.conf and audio_effects.conf in the etc folder itself. Not sure if that is even relevant.
Any help is appreciated!
