SuperJustKitchen v0.9 Released.
Go to my site: http://justkitchen.info to get the updates and the info. It takes to long to update every device's forum that is supported, and I plan to support all devices, eventually.
Word of warning:
Not all EXT's have been tested or modified for the every device. Please test test and test and then let me know which packages don't work and what YOU've done to fix them. (I don't have time to fix ALL of them by myself.) Some packages will only be compatible with some devices.
(I'm no longer updating each thread separately for each device but just updating my site and posting the release info here. I will only update each thread to say that a new version is out.)
**Warning**
Before using this kitchen, you MUST read the whole thread. Any questions that have been answered will be ignored. This is your only warning.
**Disclaimer**
I am not responsible for any damage that may be done to your phone with a ROM created in this kitchen.
I am not responsible for any damage done to your computer.
I am not responsible for anything... at all.
Introducing SuperJustKitchen!
SuperJustKitchen is based on [http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=843218"]airxtreme[/URL]'s osKitchen Zero. All credit on for the kitchen backend goes to him.
Features
A completely stripped ROM. (Work in progress for some devices.)
LZX and XPR compression (Also option for No compression.)
Auto clean files that are language specific or DPI specific that your ROM does not need
Auto port missing language MUI files
Automatic rec'loc'ing for devices without native 6.5 nk's
6.1 and 6.5 support
Auto XIP and SYS porting
Auto NBH packing
Tool to convert OEM packages to EXT packages
Auto file conflict fix (don't have to removing older file that conflict (not that there are any. )
Save custom ROM settings (for cooks for multiple ROMs)
Cook multiple languages at the same time with the same ROM settings (Have to add language support yourself. I removed the required MUI's a while back because they made updating the kitchen and adding devices a nightmare.)
MUCH better organization of EXT packages
Active development instead of a program that is no longer being developed
Cleaner and easier to use interface
A built-in and customizable Tutorial section
And more!
Builds included
21056 - WM6.1
23658 - WM6.5 with new redesigned GUI
At the moment, this is an ENGLISH (WWE) only kitchen. This might change...
NOTE: In order for me to keep track of whether my time was well spent or wasted, if you use this kitchen to make a ROM, please either include SJK in the name or just mention that it was SJK cooked in your ROM's thread.
NOTE: This kitchen assumes that you know how to flash through SD, recover from a bad flash and are able to backtrack your steps to figure out how you broke your own ROM. If you do not understand these, please learn them first. Do not PM me asking me. I have written numerous walkthroughs on all these except on how to backtrack your steps. For that, just remember what you're doing as you do it and keep backups.
If you find any issues, PLEASE report them to the bug tracker in my website. It will help me make this kitchen better!
ENJOY!!!
COOL......
Kwel, great booster for new chefs..!!!

The elf/elfin side is untested (as I didn't have a tester for it) so let me know if you run into any problems.
Please also post any problems in my bug tracker on my site. Thank you

Are you HardSPL'd? If so, do you have the file size limit removed? Also, don't include most of the packages. Your device only has so much space. You're not supposed to include that many programs.

It shows that you are registered twice and are activated on both accounts.
I do not have the ability to see passwords. IM me one of the usernames and passwords that you used so I can troubleshoot.
As far as the ROM goes:
If you have an elf, that file size is massive. Remember that the limit only removes the lower limit of a 50mb requirement. The elf doesn't have much space. Do not enable so many things. If you must have all those things, at least enable LZX compression and EXT-UPX compression.

even friend of mine from opal have same problem..
dont know y this happen?
wait for the owners.
Looks like there is a corruption somewhere in the kitchen. It is affecting every device. I think it has to do with the executable I changed last minute before updating the kitchen. I'll check myself on my computer.
any update yet?
I've been home sick with the flu so I haven't even touched my computer since. I will let you know more tomorrow. I should get some time to work on it, then.

i m very eager to try this new kitchen...
Thanks guys.
Do me a favor.
Go to your sources folder and delete the "_Compress" folder then try to cook and flash a ROM. If it works, then that was the problem all along... he moved the folder to another location but the kitchen still reads both.)
Guys, becouse I finished working with our project and our phone, I forgot to upload here my last version (kernel, initrd, Debian linux, my latest Android, tools, tutorials...), here I will upload "all in one" including all my latest versions/changes. Whats new:
- new kernel with disabled perflock (automatic owerclock, but there is new aplication for owerclocking you not need to install cpu master)
- new tools added to build like mkfs.yaffs2, e2fsck, bootdebian...
- working mtd driver (from dmesg you will see 4 new partitions as a example)
- Debian linux
- kernel and initrd booting from ram and not from sd card... etc etc
- previous battery driver with small fix (android is very fast now and stable!)
- adsp changes (audio was wrong while playing video ... module is propertly detected but hd video not working, something with memory need to be fixed)
Becouse packed archive is about 3gb I will create torrent (someone must seed it in order for it to be available to others...I will stop seed when I see some guys have 100% downloaded... If I see no seeds I will stop seeding my file and you will have unfinished archive!!! So seed it after full download or upload it to site like megauload and post here download links!)
This is my last post here I want to say you good luck with finishing our project! Here I will post all tools I used and will create an big tutorial how to run Debian, how to erase your mtd partitions, how to erase your sd card, how to run our version, how to run Debian, how to connect to Debian, how to compile directly on phone (yes it is slow but working! No need linux machine, no need cross compilers...etc)...etc. When I pack all I will post download links!
Tutorials will be in attachment!

EDIT 14.11.2011:
update.rar: some usefull tools compiled to run under android (nandump, nanfwrite and flash_erase) ...before writing to nand always use flash_erase than nandwrite... enjoy nand flashing and be creative
howdy mate...! but can i ask you why...?
what does it mean that android boot from ram and not from sd card??
and how come it weights so much?
and again thank you very very much for your time and awesome work!!

when you boot from ram it mean you have real chance to unmount sd card fat32 partition - when zimage/initrd is in fat32 you could not umount sd card (but you need to edit initrd -> partition your sd card: 3 x ext2 1 x fat32 -> it mean: separate fat32 partition from system/data/cache ext2 - with that partition layout you will fix many problems including known problem with file transfer to sd card...!)
About nand boot - it is like ram boot! I contacted Cotulla he helped me about something. He say we not need to touch spl! Hspl is not created becouse is hard job so he say we can do all nand stufs with sspl!!! Only we neeed to create ram image with android bootloader and upload it to nand with sspl!!! See post in mtd_utils thread where I posted link to an small bootloader, it will be compatible! After uploading ram image (android image with bootloader) you need to pass comand line to kernel, example how I done it with startup.txt:
Code:
mtdparts=msm_nand:[email protected](boot),[email protected](root),[email protected](system),[email protected](userdata)
and you need to change offsets in that bootloader, I think it is not hard, but only hard is locating offsets... I think Cotulla will help you but you need to ask him and donate him!
I will create tutoriall how to dump whole nand (it will bee needed for finding all offsets inside - needed for porting android nand image and small bootloader)...
so, where can we download this from?
really hurts to hear that you are leaving this project...
sounds good, thanks for the explanation
Here is torrent I will seed 3 days from 7:00 to 23:00
Can you, pleace upload, your torrent on some open tracker??? Demonoid.me is saying "Public registrations are closed"!!! How do you think we can download it?
Welcome again, Munjeni
Thanks very much.. I will look at it..
------------------------------------
Puxus, it must download automatically or try BitSpirit, it's my Favorite Torrent Client!
I don`t know, maybe the problem is in my proxy... I try install BitSprint, but it does`nt metter, I can not get the torrent file... After clicing on munjeni`s link, i have a massage:
"Non-registered visitors are limited to just a few torrent downloads per week.
To download the torrent you must register."
Anyway if its possible, upload it somewhere else, if not - just ignore me. Thanks, have a good day!
Okay, Puxus my problem is it legally to attach this torrent file?
here is it, and if illegally I will delete my attach torrent. and I'm sorry if illegally.
And try BitSpirit, to begin.
@puxus I added 50 trackers inside my torrent I think it is allready indexed by other... iPlasm uploaded my torrent here!
But sorry guys I must turn off my computer, I will continue torrent seeding in the morning
Anyway,thank you for your work. Good luck for you,but if you come back someday, thousands of HDmini users who have known you will be here and say welcome to you!

iPlasm, thanks for sharing the torrent. Downloading at my max connecions speed (1MB/s). So thanks all for sharing!
While browsing for apps I came through a site called www.zuneboards.com and it had a program called Liberate for Zune HD. I downloaded the v1.6.2 zip and extracted it and copied to my HTC 7 Pro and tried to run the native executables. Most of them did not work but there was one named reboot.exe and when I tried to open it from the FileBrowser it actually asked if I wanted to reboot my phone and when I tapped on yes it did reboot.
There was another executable cabinstall.exe and when it was executed gave a message to double tap on the cab file which might mean that it we can open a cab file but need to set the correct registry path for the cabinstall.exe to be called when opening a cab file which I am not able to do.
Any help will be appreciated.
I am not sure what it means but is it now possible to make native executables run on windows phone 7? I am able to open Opera Mobile by ultrashot by directly running the executable instead of the opera launcher as well.
I have added the zip file which has the executables.
Are you on a custom ROM or a stock ROM? Native executables have been possible on custom ROMs for a long time, but if this works on a stock ROM... time to investigate.
EDIT: Your link is going to a 404 error page, not a ZIP file. Re-upload maybe?

I have updated the attachment. Should work now.
I am on a custom rom so I am not sure if it will work on a stock rom or not.
It uses executables built for WinCE 6.0. This is also a valid way to build native code on WP7 (WP7 uses a CE kernel version somewhere between 6.0 and 7.0) so it's no surprise that at least some of the apps will work.
Is there source code available for this hack? It would be interesting to see what they did. It's probably ZHD-specific (for the general unlock) but it *might* be useful for WP7 hacking too...

@GoodDaytoDie
Did you find anything interesting or useful in the source?
Not yet, but it was a busy weekend. I'm looking through a number of things at the same time and haven't dug into that one yet.
However, it's worth noting that the Zune HD uses a very different security model from WP7. I didn't do any ZHD dev or hacking, so I'm not entirely familiar with how its app model works.
Thanks for the source though! I'll dig into it further and let you know if I find anything. I may have to create an account on that other forum too; it looks like they're doing some WP7 hacking as well.
I tried sources in VS 2008. New project must be created from old source codes and main entry point must be added to properties/link/commandline option, or changed to wmain. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33649737#post33649737 , download zip.
Custom ROM Manager finds all the ROMs, GApps and other zip files that are downloaded on your device, lets you install or manage them easily. It also helps you visit official sites of some ROMs/GApps from where you can download them or see changelog.
NOTE: This app does not search the internet for ROMs, GApps and other mods for your device. You have to download them from their respective sites yourself to your device. Then this app will take care of the rest.

Key Features
Finds all the zip files on your device - Custom ROM Manager features multiple file searching algorithms to find the zip files on your device. They are fast, customizable or both fast and customizable at the same time. Users can even choose their file searching technique to their liking.
Sorting and grouping of zip files - After zip files have been found, app sorts and groups them to their appropriate category, like detects which of them are ROMs, GApps etc. It can even detect the properties of a ROM/GApp, like their build dates, version, whether or not they are OFFICIAL builds and what not. The techniques used are efficient and smart.
Popular ROMs/GApps - The app shows list of popular ROMs/GApps. They are selected based on observations of the most popular and most user responded ROM threads across the XDA forums for top devices, and they are listed alphabetically in the app. App is also capable of detecting other ROMs, which will be listed in the "Other ROMs" category.
Official information for popular ROMs/GApps - For all the popular ROMs/GApps listed, you can even check their official information. Like their official sites, download pages etc. It can even check whether your device is officially supported or not, and depending on this, it will open download page for your device when you visit their download page.
Disclaimer - The app makes use of the information that is already available on the internet. It does not use any unauthorized or confidential data. The links are also opened in an external web browser of user's choice, not in some in-app browser or something like that.
Manage your ROMs/GApps - Under each popular ROM/GApp listing, you can see the builds present on your device listed their. Like all your LineageOS ROMs gets listed under "LineageOS" category. You can view them in any way, view them in sorted order based on their build dates or version, or see only unofficial ROMs, or official ROMs. You can delete them, view them etc.
Install them - And finally, you can select them for flashing/installation. This is arguably the most significant feature of the app. You can choose any number of zips for flashing, you can specify which partitions to be wiped before each zip is flashed. You can modify your selection in any way you want, like re-order your selection, delete any entry and what not. And finally, when you confirm, device will boot into (TWRP) recovery, flashing the zips in the very order you selected.
To see the complete feature list, visit the play store page or XDA Labs page.

Can you link me to those zip files which you are talking about, so that I can take a look and add it in next update?

And custom kernel support is not possible because various devices have various custom kernel, sorting them would be simply not possible..

So thank you.

Great app.
Very useful especially for beginners.
But I have 4 main requests that will improve the app :
1_it's really bothering that every time I want to launch the app it scans for zip files, it takes a lot of time especially for the low-end phones and for phones that have large Memory.
Maybe you should make it saves the path of the zips and names and add a refresh button in the AppBar in case we add new zip.
2_Add wipe davlik-cache,
It's really needed when flashing modes.
3_maybe in the future you should add an options to explore the zip and extract some files.
4_add a new layout for backup and restore specific files from system (build.prop_framework-res....etc) or the whole ROM and save it as a flashable zip in case the flashed ROM has bootloop or some problem you can restore it form recovery.
Sorry for asking a lot I know it's the first release and that is a lot to ask.
So far the app works great and the design is simple and beautiful as usual (I know from your previous apps)
Thanks for your hard work
Great app UI and Idea, but on my Nexus 6 XOSP 6.3, It doesnt detect anything. I give the root access and storage permission, but it stays at "uhh,nothing here". And thats really it. Any idea? Is there some folder i need to put my zips in?(like delta uses). Thanks!

Sorry for late reply, I was busy in the mean time with M and N bringups for some devices.
In Marshmallow ROMs, there is a problem detecting internal storage, which will be fixed in next update, which will come very soon.
Edit: 1.5 is up, check labs
Update 2.5
With previous update (2.0 and 2.1), app was recoded from scratch, resulting in many optimizations and bug fixes.
For example, with 2.0, came better storage detection logic and faster file scanning algorithm, while 2.1 added more modern UI elements.
With 2.5 comes many of the requested features like Zip scan caching, separate option for dalvik cache, and new features like search, respective logos for popular custom ROMs etc.
Please refer to XDA Labs for full changelog.
And do rate and review .
Version 3.0 was released with many cool features.
- Zip selection for flashing was totally revamped. When you tap a card, it will now flip and you will see various partitions you can wipe. Select any if you want to and then tap the card back, it will flip back and notify that the zip has been selected for flashing. And now you can even update what you want to wipe by tapping one of the already selected card back and re-doing the drill. You can even remove it from the flash queue.
- The UI where you are shown what you are going to flash (i.e flash queue) is also revamped.
- Statistics section is also revamped, now shows total size each class of zip is consuming.
- You can also perform TWRP backup and restore operations from the app.
- Some SU related issues (especially on newer security models) were fixed.
- There are always under the hood performance improvements and cleanups.
And all this feature additions barely saw the app size rising. Do check the new screenshots under screenshots tab.
And btw, Custom ROM Manager was released in Play Store too, few days back.

Maybe was i to lazy to find it, but it took already a lot of Time to find the "Custom ROM Manager". How can i add My LIGHT PATCH to the Patch Section of Your Project? I wold like to push Your App by default alongside with My Patch in the Future to use it as kind of OTA Updater. Maybe could You direct Me, or do i even have something new for You? (Checking build.prop for the Patch Version so the App can advise a Update if needed!?)
Would be cool to be Part of that! I'm really looking forward to contribute to it...

ARAI V1.0 for Android
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ARAI stands for "Android Root App Installer"
You can download it here: (Place holder)
It does exactly what the the name implies, it installs a variety of root apps to help newbies and experts alike get their freshly rooted Android set up quick.
You may be asking, " Well why would I need that when I can just go and download all the apps myself?". For one thing, when I started getting into rooting, there was not nearly enough reliable sources to download most of the best apps available to get the most out of root. I don't know about you but when I hear names like APK4FUN and similar ones (not to rag on APK4FUN, its actually where i get some of my APKs from) it just reminds me of websites like softpedia and we all know how much of a train wreck that is.
TLDR: So my main goal is to make the best root apps easily available for download putting it all into a neat package, simplifying lives for experienced people and giving newbies a good place to get a foot hold.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download and unzip the ARAI folder
2. If you have any questions about the APKs included you can check the App Info.txt file.
3. Run install.bat
4. Follow the on screen prompts to either install all the apps or select which ones you would like to install.
5. Enjoy your new root apps!
If you use this script and find anything wrong or want to make a suggestion for other apps to include, you can leave it in the response section down below.
PS: Yes, I understand that only having 1 super user app in the package is a bad, especially because of all the SuperSU drama lately, but I will be releasing a new update in the next few days that will add a few other super user apps.
Does it works with all smartphones? Looks interesting for news like me
Sorry for the inconvenience but i found a major problem with the script. I will re release ARAI in a new post in a day or two. I will put a link in the thread to new version. And just o clarify yes it does work on all smartphones that support the apps. As far as i can tell, all apps work with android all the way back to kitkat or lollipop.
ARAI stands for "Android Root App Installer"
You can download it here: (Place holder)
It does exactly what the the name implies, it installs a variety of root apps to help newbies and experts alike get their freshly rooted Android set up quick.
