If I had to guess, I'd say your running a custom ROM that doesn't have the right build info - seems to be a recurring theme with custom ROMs. Search on here there should be a fix (if that is indeed the case) - something about modifying the build.prop file I think?

I have the stock rom. I am going to the Play website, not even on my phone and if I type in any of the game name or "Sony computer entertainment america" I get nothing.
I can't even download the games anyway thanks to Verizon blocking them. I tried market enabler but with no luck.
I dont live in US but wut about contacting Verizon?

Unfortunately I did and they blamed Sony. They are useless, don't care about the customer, their 2.3.4 update broke the phone and now it doesn't sync or work properly with google services.

as am I, my only problem is my contract is up in March, and I was thinking go for an unlocked R800i or a, but the reality is this phone is getting a bit long in the tooth compared to the non gaming features and speed of all the other phones out there, I'm not sure I want to spend $200-$300 on something I have already and is already 2 years old tech wise. AND also missing out on 4G LTE as well. But then again I'll HATE not having the physical controls. Sony really needs to come out with a new one.
It looks like Sony is now keeping these PS one Classics exclusive to the PS Vita. Sony confirmed that over 100 PS One classics will be available to download on the handheld from August 28th including Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil 2.

Wipeout is the ONLY game I have wanted to play on this ****ing phone since I got it. I have tried unsuccessfully to get Market Enabler to let me download it (thanks to them being ****ing blocked on Verizon), I have been waiting for this PS Mobile **** to be able to get it, and now they decide no more PS ports on Android. ****ing dicks.

I was able to still pull up the games for purchase on my phone.
I'm using the PlayStation pocket app and MarketEnabler.
Open MarketEnabler, go to Settings list, long press [ca] Rogers and set it. Then open the PlayStation pocket app, hit the search button on the top right, it will show about 8 games. Click on any of the 8 and it links you to the Google Play Store.
Make sure you use PlayStation pocket, not PS pocket. PS Pocket tries to open the PS Store.
I'll post screen shots if you guys want later.

I still get the vcast crap store, I heard it screws up the phone if you delete it. Should I try?

I deleted vcrap a long time ago..... I tried what was suggested above with market enabler and it worked... it even lets me buy the games. Did you use the Playstation Pocket app? Not PSpocket...

OK thanks for the link. I got it to come up and show the games but I still get this item isnt available on your carrier. I selected Rogers (ca) and nothing. Is it because I can't set "fakeOnBoot" in market enabler maybe?

I dint set "fake on boot". Just long pressed and applied the sim settings.... and immediately ran the playstation pocket and selected the Search icon top right and all the ps1 games popped up. Try it again,,, let me know if it works or not

You are using a app that wasn't meant to be released on the Market, which was taken out from the Market shortly after it appeared and one that works with sales and what not. Yet you still use it anyways and ask whats wrong? Come on...

i did notice there is an update.. i will try to get it and do the same thing to it..

But works buying it from US web store as you can change to "location" and your network when going through the check out.
Noticed that they've dropped all prices to £3 now after that long £1 sale they had on. sure they were £3.70 or 90 odd before then. - ignore
Edit - £4.25 from Android Market or £3 via their store.. thats where I was confused on price.

Just tried this to get MC2 to work. have a ticket with gameloft about it. Thanks for the heads up.
hmm... it crashes after the gamelft logo. Will have to contact them.

Well, before i rooted i went to gameloft.com and it said, "sorry, your device is not supported." Now that ive flashed a rom, and my device lists as a desire hd, BEHOLD! I can buy them now... Explain that one geniuses
One word, genius: Sideloading. AT&T phones can't do it, Gameloft's website requires it, end of story.
I used my stock browser in mobile mode. Go to Google.com search for gameloft. Click the android link under the first result. Find the game you want, and buy then download it. If you do not have sideloading enabled yet, you have to hook the phone to the computer. Go through your sd card under downloads, your game .apk should be there. Now copy it to your computer hard drive, and use sideload wonder machine to install it on the phone. This worked for me, I now have Lets Golf 2, and GT Racing Motor Academy. If you don't have sideload wonder machine, google it. It was very easy to do with full instructions, and worked beautifully.

Sorry, there was someone in the bathroom and I _REALLY_ had to go. Just forgot to dump it... My bad.
Comes up in the market for me. The tegra games don't but I think you need the tegra zone deal. If your looking for blocked apps on the market just enable airplane mode, enable WiFi only and search away.. used to work anyway.
Modern combat 2 is a bad ass game, definetly recommend it. I am hooked on that tegra pinball game though, **** is sick. Samurai 2 is fun but tedious to me. Just my. 02

I'da done that either way . Seriously, probably the best way to get the Gameloft games without rooting and having Sideloading enabled is probably the method posted earlier with the sideload wonder machine. That's how I used to get Amazon App Store stuff before I rooted.
That, or root. It's so worth it!

Alright, well thanks for the help, I was really just kinda curious, i was just trying to figure out what it was or if it was what I thought it was. It was just kinda weird that it said it wasnt supported. i guess it was cus of the sideloading thing, But really, thanks for trying, I just like the people that try, and I know there are plenty of them on here. thats why im here
Its just appeared on both the android market and the gameloft site on my phone. The gameloft site sells it for £3 and the android market for £4.99. Would both include correct optimization for xperia play controls? Anyone know? Also is it true that if I buy from gameloft site then change phone sometime I won't be able to redownload but I can if I get it from the market? Please respond soon as I'm itching to buy it

The other issue is if you buy from the gameloft store, you can never use that apk on another android device. They are always tied to the device type. I learn that lesson the hard way. I had 6 games from them on my droid x, couldn't install a single one on my XP.
I'll never buy another gameloft game, or that BS from the ea flexion store.
If you bought legitmently the game,just google deeper to retain

Wow, really? They've been good about giving me the latest APKs when I have an issue.
The purchase history section of their mobile store is unreliable at best, but when I provide proof of purchase (I ALWAYS buy through Amazon Payments so I have an undeniable source) they usually send me the APK... and have even given me free games to make up for issues I've had :\
Ok I bought it from android market, the xperia play controls do not work and seems to be no option to enable them? I waited all this time to buy it too... Should have just googled for it ages ago eh...since gameloft spent so much time on NOT optimizing it.

Funny; I was just wondering the same thing and bought it from the Gameloft Store based on that thought...
As a side note, I notice the Amazon Payments option is gone >_<, but on the plus side there's now an account system (and an e-mail notification upon purchase) so I have a more reliable system of seeing what I purchased. That was a VERY necessary change.
I'll report if my story's any different after the data download is complete. Right off the bat I don't see it in the Xperia PLAY Game Launcher... not a good sign.
I hope it's just an update issue and will be fixed soon.

Well, I've been questioning Gameloft on the issue, and from what they say - it may just be a bug (does Gameloft have a error testing staff? Surely someone is testing to avoid these major issues...).
Gameloft's good about giving away free stuff to distract us from issues... hopefully they'll just bump my subscription some months or something so I can find out if this is really Xperia PLAY Optimized... or at least play while I wait for a version I can play without (lame) touch controls.

Well I downloaded it and it seems fun but there is a lot of lag. Like when I cast a spell the animation and everything plays but the spell itself won't cast well after it's cast time. Also adding xperia play support would greatly enhance the experience as it's pretty annoying at times with the touch screen controls.

as title states, it's out on the market now.
first "exclusive" game to showcase the processor is a game called Desert Winds.
minimal hack and slash type... pretty much there to show off the graphics. game itself is kinda boring. too basic, too easy.
graphics do look good and game runs well.
the gaming news feed I thought was kinda cool feature.
in any rate, good way to organize your games within a single Icon as well.
It's a good start. hope to see some more, better, exclusive games.

Can't wait for some of the games in the preview video. They definitely need some exclusives to keep up with Tegra Zone. Here's the video for anyone who is curious:

Edit well found the games that are on there game page but it don't show my current games installed like GTA 3 hot persuit etc hmmmm

have you pressed settings on the top right corner of "my games"?
it will show you a list of apps you have on your phone on the right, then you can place the games within the list to the list on the left.
once you set it up it will auto detect and place the games you purchase from then on in your game list.
Well restarted etc but still have no games in "my games"

wow... not sure why it's not showing up... that's really weird.
when I initially opened the app it had a list of all the apps in my phone, waiting for me to sort it to the left(of the list - to "my games").
once I downloaded Desert Winds, it showed up automatically in this list. didn't have to sort it or anything.
region shouldn't matter I don't think since it's just a launching app for games on your phone and listing Adreno optimized games on the market.

Cheers for this, zip file downloaded and working as it should. (Sensation xe completely stock). Although I couldn't see anywhere to launch DesertWinds from but it did show me DeerHunter was free so have downloaded that.
Hmmmm strange well ill. Remove it and install it again and see what happens
Edit well after reinstall n reboot no difference intresting lol

well, I don't do this sort of thing but, since the game is free on the market, I don't think it would be considered a warez if I posted the apk?
(it's just a showcase of Adreno anyway right? not much of a game... pretty much just a demo?)

I'm also in the UK and just used market enabler set to tmous, downloaded app and game no problem. But... At the moment the game won't start as it is unable to connect to some server somewhere

I get a "Failed to connect to resource server" error... which I am assuming is the same error you are getting. Running Virtuous Inquisition 2.0.1 on Tmo USA.
