Unlike Apple, which allows developers to charge as little as 99 cents for an app, Microsoft has set the minimum price for Windows 8 apps at $1.49.

That's reasonable for desktop based apps. Way lower than expected. But if you think about it... how many programs are out there that come new for less that 5

I'm torn between buying a Cr-48 off ebay or just getting a Xoom. I really like both but the Cr-48 is about half the price. Any suggestions?
How much is the Cr-48 ebay?

From what I've seen it's about $300 to $350
I think it boils down to do you prefer a laptop by google or an android tablet. And have you checked out the g-slate I'm hearing that's a pretty nice tablet as well.

I've thought of that as well but it's $600 on contract, and I can get the xoom off contract for the same price
Off contract is the only way to fly lol. But seems like your leaning towards a tablet. I usually just buy what I like but in this market when saving your monies count. I'm breaking down and going to stores and just trying out a lot of products hands on to see if I like them as much as I do in my mind. You can always sale your something in your mind but not always the case in person.

I've checked out the xoom at the Verizon store, its pretty awesome. Too bad I can't do the same for the cr-48 lol.

Yeah the Cr-48 is an risk factor when it comes to not knowing how it runs. Maybe someone got one on craigslist in your area and willing to let you test drive it in a public place. Worth a shot.

Good suggestion, I'll check it out now

I sold my CR-48. It just lacks any key features.
Use google chrome on your PC. Everything you can do in there, is what the laptop can do.
same web "apps" Same gmail.
Its just chrome browser instead of an OS.
How much did you sell it for?

I like the Stitcher app.
Google has an app called Listen.
Maybe
My upgrade isn't due until August, during that time, I'm hoping for word on the Galaxy S3. That's likely to launch with ICS right off the bat. I like the look of an official ICS device. I played with the Asus Transformer in Best Buy on Sunday and I loved it. Held the Galaxy Note in my hand and I can see why some would consider it big. It's not THAT much bigger than our Infuses, just slightly wider and I for one am used to seeing 4 apps across rather than 5. So it looks strange. But that's a surface issue I'm sure I can overlook.
So I guess it boils down to: What else is coming out that would reasonably stand in the way of purchasing the Galaxy Note? I'm keeping it Samsung personally.
Killa ...what does that have to do with podcasts???

Honestly I'm not really sure why that posted here. I had multiple tabs open in the forum and that post was supposed to in the thread about Infuse owners discussing the Galaxy Note. Sorry guys.

I do but doesn't look like it's coming to Britain. I like the look of the SGS4 but I can't stand Touchwiz.

I'm in, very impatient til its release. Nothing more that you could ever dream of. Vanilla android + cutting-edge hardware :victory:
Maybe order it from eBay to Britain once its out
Sent from my ST27a using xda app-developers app
I'd definitely be interested in this, but slightly put off by the price.
Samsung hardware is about the best out there and a version of Android without bloatware on it would make a pretty formidable combination. I think I'll keep an eye on second hand prices in a few months.
Yea your right, if Google would sell it at nexus prices (300-350) this phone would be ideal. The bloteware that comes on it is rediculos, touch wiz is absolute bs

I wouldn't mind owning one!

Yeah that prize would be awesome in that device, but obiusly google can't do that because samsung is who puts de prize (I think).
I hope that Nexus 5 will be economic as Nexus 4.

Thinking of going to the hipster crowd I had s3 and just got an s4 and this one is very lagging
If Apple came out with a 4.5"+ screen I'd go back to Apple in a heartbeat. Alas they fail to listen to the crowds who want 720p+ and higher screen PPI or larger screen.
well my backup phone is a note 2, but I won't see going with a sideways exchange so would wait for a note 3 if anything if upgrading when it comes out

Heard that the iPhone 5s is going to be a 4.2" but that's just rumors. I ran iOS 7 beta on my iPhone 4 and loved it.

Note 3 (5.7 in screen) or GSM HTC Butterfly S w/LTE... i have the non LTE (but HSPDA+) version. it's the HTC One without the aluminum casing, same LCD screen but 5 inches (vs 4.7), same camera with a 3200 mAH non-removable battery and a microSD slot. the Butterfly S convinced me to give up my Note II, but not my S4
Nokia 3260. With the aftermarket light up antenna and battery. While rocking the fur Elise ringtone. Had every ifad until I got the og note. I couldn't see ever going back. To restrictive on everything. I still remember the black home screen wallpaper, non MMS sending iPhone. Everything that's iOS has that's good was ripped from android (multitasking, notification center, etc).

When I bought my S4A, I did so under the premise that it was only meant to hold me over until the Nexus 5 (or whatever the next one will be called) came out. However, I'm finding that I really like this phone (once I rooted, made some necessary tweaks, and got rid of all the bloatware).
Now, I'm thinking that the next Nexus is going to have to really sell itself to pull me back. Of course, if the next update irreparably removes my root and cancels all my changes... then the N5 will be looking shiny again.

Hi all
I have started letting my 4 year olds have few apps on my nexus 7. I am thinking of buying them a tablet of some description. I was looking at the kids version of the Samsung and love the from end, similar to the kindle. Is there an app I can get like this?
Cheers guys
