I have an S720 through Telus and when I check my "Call History" and select a Restricted Number, or Private Number, the page that should come up with the details, ie the time of call, duration etc, comes up blank. Normal numbers come up fine, just the Restricted or Private Numbers come up blank. I know the phone is receiving the info as when I connect to Jeyo Mobile Companion, or I use CallHistoryExport I can retrieve the info. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this?
Telus won't help and HTC said they have never heard of the problem. Oh and its not just my phone, all the S720's seem to be the same, swapped ones, and other people that have them, all had the same problem
I have a HTC Touch - Windows Mobile 6.0 device and recently changed mobile provider. Now whenever I active the phone on my device I get a pop-up with the same message each time (an ad for backing up the Sim contacts with the provider). If I press ok I get another pop-up 30 seconds later.
I looked for a way to turn off the pop-ups but can't find anything. Does anybody know a way to turn this off?
I don't have a solution for stopping the messages, but might I suggest actually taking the SMS's advice and backing up your contacts, maybe then it will actually stop bugging you?
Thanks Jadel I don't think that will help however, though I won't be able to test until I fully switch providers. My contacts are already backed up in Gmail, Hotmail and Exchange.
May be there is contact backup as sim service? Go to sim services and look for this service if any????? May be you can do something from there.

that's a good suggestion. it seems your provider has something to do with this as i'm not familiar with anything that offers this weird thing automatically.
I have a Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional phone (e-Ten Glofiish M800).
I always received SMS without problems until some days ago.
Now my SMS always arrive with hours of delay and, even more strangely, are stored on the SIM, no more on the phone. Even the icon on the left of the phone number in the inbox list of messages is different (it shows a SIM instead of an open envelope).
The problem, other than the delay, is that when I receive more than 10 new messages it says that it can't receive any more SMS because the SIM is full! until I delete some of these SMS or manually move them to the phone
How can I set to store the SMS in the phone as it always did?! why is it storing them on the SIM? how can I troubleshoot this problem?
PS: I have plenty of free storage on my phone and many SMS in my SMS inbox.
Hello!
I'm having a few "bugs" on my Moto G Global GSM running stock EU Retail software on top of AeroKernel and Gravity Box on it.
1. Making calls issue: it seems like my phone is not getting "mobile provider settings" regarding showing my number when placing a call. As a result, i can't call home phone numbers in my country - i can call mobile numbers any time, but if i want to call home number, i need to go to phone -> settings -> additional settings and wait for the settings to load. Only then can I call these numbers.
2. Receiving MMS: how can i enable auto-download MMS messages on stock messaging app? I mean the situation when my data is off, then it autoconnects when mms comes, then it disconnects. It is like this on custom roms, as far as I know, but i'd like to have it on stock software.
3. Contact list issue: my contacts are doubled. How can i solve this? All of my contacts are from my Gmail account only, no contacts on SIM or from storage. The weird thing is, when I open Contacts app, it shows my contacts as it should, but when i open Phone app and try to search for somebody, the entries are doubled. oh, okay, i fixed that already. my contacts on google account were all doubled or trippled - though i have no idea why!
So, these are issues I'm having that prevent me from enjoying my phone in 100% . I wish somebody can help me with these! I'd really appreciate that!
Thanks in advance,
Kumczak
Have a Nokia 8.1, which was recently upgraded to Android 10 Q.
Have been noticing that the phone sends SMS or at least shows the SMS sending notification on screen.
But there is no sent message in the SMS app. Need help to remove any possible malware from the phone.
Have not installed any dodgy apps or given permissions to apps (for sending sms), so am not sure why the phone is behaving like this.

Would appreciate any help provided.
Apologies if this isn't the right place to post this.

When is this happening?
Is this after you buy (or an automatic subscription renewal?) something from Google play store but pay via your carrier? Normally this "DCB-ASSOCIATION" authentication takes place in the background, which might be what you are seeing.
(Some msg apps like Signal do seem to show these msgs)
In this post it's showing... though yours are not showing, possibly just the pop up?

However it could be a sign an app is sending in background that you are unaware off, maybe you can see it on your phone bill. ( Android 10 does allow you to block other apps from sending send sms messages, so only default messaging apps can, you can turn this on in developer settings ... though you should find the source of sms. {Maybe an antivirus will show spyware your loved one has installed on your phone which is sending them your location, aww how sweet} One other possibility is carrier provisioning which sends an sms to set up your network settings, but as far as I know you should get a pop up to do this & I'm not aware if phone sends a confirmation back to your carrier)
