Rapid charge via USB - HTC Inspire 4G

In Gizmoe's Stock v2 it says rapid charge via USB enabled by default. I have a question: why wouldn't they (HTC) have enabled this anyways? That would seem like an extra selling point to me... It doesn't harm the battery or anything, right? So it seems like a no-brainer.

Green Power Compatibility with Nexus S?

Hi people,
Recently went to the market, and I tried downloading Green Power. It claimed to be able to work with 2.3.3
However, I don't see it toggling 3G automatically.
Has anyone managed to get it working?

If you are connected to a wireless network the app doesn't use your data connection. Try running the app with your wireless off or turn off your router. You'll see it working then.

Huh I thought the main objective of the app is to turn off the 3G when its not in use?
What's the point of turning off the wifi or router?

I use an app called "Network Switcher" which seems to work well on my Nexus S

Great app I think it helps me save battery I'm still
On 2.3.2 still waiting for 2.3.3
Just tried network switcher ... sometimes it doesn't return me 3G connection ..

I got this yesterday it does switch off the 3g so I think its been working. Although there were a few times when I switch RH screen on and off too quickly that it takes 10 seconds o so before 3g comes back
So far its been good using greenpower can update later

The reason I said to turn off wifi/router was so he could see if the app was turning on/off his 3g connection properly; that being his question

Alright its been a few days and I can safely say that green power is working out awesome for me
If I just leave the phone alone it last a lot longer I'd estimate it to using around 10-20% battery judging by the percentage reported by the phone

Make Android output look like an iphone

Is there an app out there that would allow me to plug my android into my JVC USB car radio. I works fine if I plug in a iphone. I have to use the AUX cable. Trying to make it look nicer.

That would certainly be an awesome app, since most car stereos/head units only natively recognize iOS products through USB. I haven't heard of such an app unfortunately.
I have an aftermarket radio and i use an aux cable for mine.

It doesn't unfortunately. I've tried this a few times and haven't had any luck with it. Sucks cause I have a bunch of music on my Inspire that I would like to use.

I've gotten it to work many times. Maybe it depends on what car radio you have?

playing music from android thru USB
On my aftermarket Sony I just have to mount the sd, (it even asks me if i want to) I haven't don't it for a while but you might be right that the ipod/iphone just connects, but you want an app that saves you that step then get programing
It works on my Kenwood. It just uses my phone like a mass storage device. I can play music and even movies on my head unit.

Is there a way to stop it? I come into many problems one is downloading mms when I receive them!
Not that I'm aware of ..... why would you require both on at the same time? I see no need.
WiFi picks up your data connection once its activated. No need to have booth.

So you're saying having my laptop connected to wifi and plugged in via ethernet cable at the same time is pointless? Jk
Sent from my badass Undeadk9 Senseless Doubleshot
Well wen I receive mms (I do often from the lady friends lol) I have to disable wifi to enable mobile data to retrieve it. One temp fix I found was to disable wifi calling/messaging.

Unlimited 4g workaround

Unlimited 4g. I'm sure you've all heard about it. I went and checked it out. Apparently the only catch is you can't hotspot. But since I'm rooted and running cm7 I should be able to still use hotspot with a third party app, right?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
Tethering is built into cm7, no need for an app.. and you might need to change the user agent on the device you tether so you don't get the tmobile redirect.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app
I am on the unlimited 4g, if I use Firefox, default settings, it seems to work fine. IE blows in the first place, but for the sake of mentioning it, and doesn't work, routes everything to a page telling me to buy tethering. I can also torrent just fine. I guess part of it is just the port it's set to listen on, 80, and if there is activity on other ports, so what.
Edit: also, SSL sites work.

I use the hotspot for my laptop and my lady's g2x. She is on the monthly 4g I'm not concerned with using my laptop, it's her g2x that worries me. I don't see how tmobile would catch on. But I wanted to run it by you guys before switching and potentially voiding my contract
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
so what your saying here is that if i switch to the New Unlimited Nationwide 4g data package i wont be able to tether my tablet to my phone?
That's what they told me but (I may be wrong) if you are using a custom rom or just rooted with a thrid party hotspot app tmobile want be able to detect or stop you, right?

I use Google Chrome & change the user agent. Give that a go.
How do you do that without an add-on
I figured it out. I sometimes forget Google answers all.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
bit the bullet and switch to the unlimited 4g plan and i havent had any problems with surfing the web or streaming media on my tablet tethered to my phone. i have gtab 2 with cm10 and g2x with cm7.

[Q] App or script that shows charging voltage?

Just got a 2.1 amp dual USB carry charger. Is there an app or script that shows charging voltage? I want to make sure the charger is working properly.

Maybe try current widget.
After reading the desription, seems that Moto and Samsung do not support this in their hardware.
