Previous google music apk - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Not sure about you guys but the most recent version of google music is almost unusable as far as scrolling goes.
Does anyone have any previous versions before they changed the UI? Much appreciated

How to get legit Beautiful Widgets v4.x.x app (apk) ?

Hi all,
As you know Beautiful Widgets came out with a new version of their app. The new app, version 5.x.x is awful it's FC'ing like hell and all the widgets are messed up. I can't even use thier last update because every time I try to add 4x1 weather widget it's just FC.
I bought this app on google play and very pissed that they release a new useless version, a lot of their customers think like me you can see from their forums and last [email protected] play.
Unfortunately I didn't make any backup to the last working version (v4.12 afaik). Where can I found a legit v4.12 BW app for downloading (and it will be activated through google play) ?
Thanks

What's the most "stock Android" ROM?

I can't use any AOSP/CM ROMs because none of them are compatible with Fitbit.
I dislike most of the stock Samsung apps. Touchwiz, Messaging, Browser, even phone and contacts. Is there a ROM that includes or lets me select via Aroma all the default JB apps? I know I can probably download the apps and replace the ones in /system/app but I'd like a ROM built around it if that exists.
Failing that, where can I find the default stuff? Maybe someone has made a zip I can just flash?

I think andybones rom is the best but that is my opinion. Its got the stock feel you are asking for and removes most of the extra junk that bloats the phone.

Thanks, but I mean vanilla Google Nexus type Android. I'm running Bones right now and it's good, but there aren't really any options to go for the Google browser, etc.

I could possibly make an Aroma option for this stuff..
Would that help?
I'm not gonna lie, that would be pretty awesome. I bet a lot of other people would dig it too.
Personally I find Google Nexus style stock extremely bland, but to each his own. There are some AOSP type ROMs in the development section, but I might lean toward the more stable ROMs like Synergy, Hyperdrive, MORA, and a few others that have the stability and functionality of TW base, but let you configure the look and app selection to be TW, Nexus, HTC, Sony, etc.

Google browser? Any ROM can run chrome or more preferable Chrome beta. Those are the "google browsers"

I came from a Galaxy Nexus to the GS3 several months ago. I've been trying to get used to the Samsung-style apps and just don't like them.
I can't run an AOSP rom because they're not compatible with the BT 4.0 required by the Fitbit I use, so I need the TW base. I also don't really like Chrome on Android.
I'm weird, sure. If I could have any phone right now it would be a GS4 or HTC One with stock Android. I really, really miss having a Nexus device.

OK, everyone likes different looks, I got that.. I'm still not understanding why you are not happy with a full functional ROM that looks like and runs mostly nexus style apps and yet offers other features and custom items if you want or not if you don't.
Seems like the best of both worlds.

... Do you know of such a ROM? That's what this thread is asking for. I'm looking for a ROM that includes, or includes options to install, the Nexus-style apps.
Is there a simple way to just replace the browser with the stock Android browser? What about the stock Android launcher?
Whats so different about googles stock launcher vs Samsung's that makes you want to change it so badly? I use googles all the time on my other devices but don't really notice a big difference except for the lack of user agent options in Samsung's browser. Anyways, you could download a launcher with customizable, icons like adw then go to the market and download quick ics browser. Problem solved.
Or you can just download google chrome
Thanks for the replies guys, but none of that really addresses my question. Is it possible to replace the Samsung browser with the stock JB browser? If so, how? I don't like Chrome.

Check out Hyperdrive. 99% sure there are selections in aroma that allow you to add all the aosp apps. Browser, gallery, camera, mms, etc.

As far as a "stock JB launcher" you can achieve that with Nova launcher.
The stock JB browser is officially Chrome. You may be thinking of the stock browser in ICS which was a blue globe icon. If you want that, download the latest CM 10.1 and extract the browser out of that zip file and install it on your own.

[WIDGET/5.0+] Material Music Widget

To keep it short and simple:
A widget for Material Design & usability enthusiasts, that supports a wide variety of media players:
• Spotify
• YouTube Music
• VLC
• Google PlayMusic
• Amazon Music
• Simple Radio
• TuneIn Radio
• PowerAmp
• Yatse (Kodi Media Center Remote App)
• Stock Players (Samsung, Sony, MIUI, HTC, ...)
It has a couple of nice features in the full version, but the basic (free) version works just fine.
Get it on Google Play
Widgets and their API do feel to developers a bit like they were neglected by Google, so I'm glad for feedback about how it works on your device and with your launcher. Also I'm happy to read about which players you would like to see supported.
Since Spotify just removed the Widget from their official app a couple of days ago I feel the need to bump this thread If you're curious, give it a try. The app is out of Beta now and officially available in v1.2
I really loved using this and it worked so well. Unfortunately it recently stopped working with Spotify...

Hey!
Still working fine here. Which device are you using?
And can you describe what's not working a little more detailed?
Thx, it'll help me fix the issues.
PS: Did you by any chance disable the notification for Spotify?
Cause that's where the widget currently gets the information from.

...hmm well...it suddenly started working again lol. No idea why. Interestingly, the only change I have made is that since last night I have been on the Spotify beta (8.6.6.1168). If it starts happening again I will make note of anything I notice and let you know. Thanks!

Okay, a version of this problem just happened. The widget said Spotify Connection in the middle and the play button was showing even though Spotify was already playing and thus the pause button should have appeared. It seemed to self correct after a few minutes, but I was able to get screenshots first:

Google Dialer

Anybody know which Google dialer will work for our phone? I'm not sure why the messages and phone app aren't actual Google apps like they are on other Moto phones but I was really enjoying dark mode on the dialer and messages on other phones but every apk I download won't install.

Once i updated my dialler and contacts in the playstore, the dark option is there. Try changing contacts to dark mode and then the phone app.

The truth is I don't know which application you are talking about because the Moto G7 Power and and all Moto devices at least all G family have Android Pure with some Moto Functions added. Meaning that the dialer, Messages and many other apps are the Official Google apps and yes G7 Power. If you think they are not the OG ones just because a feature that is not even available yet, you need to understand that atm is only available in the Dialer and Messages Beta Apps. Go to Play Store look for the Apps and scroll a bit down and Join the Beta Program for each one.
PS.. I think that to this day, the feature/Option for "Dark Theme" is now available for most Google applications stable release.

For the phone/dialer you need the beta version, well at least in my case. Because I enabled Dark Mode on the Messages app but still no option on the dialer settings. I was like well whatever, then I went to the store to see if I was missing something and noticed I haven't joined the Beta Program for Google Dialer yet so I joined and in about a min it updated, and there wmit was the Dark Mode option. ?.

I don't have the phone anymore but if I recall, the messages app at least was not the stock Google one. It sure appeared exactly like it in appearance and function, yet if you went to the play store you could download the actual Google one completely separate and have 2 identical messaging apps except the Google one allowed the dark theme. I remember being confused by that because that was not me experience on other Moto phones which were using the actual Google apps.

Fair enough, maybe its region dependant then, my g7 power has google dialer, contacts and messages out of the box.

Hmm maybe by that time wasn't fully implemented yet probably. But AFAIK all moto devices uses the Google apps since they started to ditch the SystemUI mods and started to use Android as is.
Could have sworn I had g dialer before update
Could have sworn I had the Google dialer before the latest security update, I know I had dark mode at least.
Now I don't. G7 Power from MetroPCS. I still have the Moto contacts and messages, but Google versions as well... And dark mode active in everything, but no dark mode dialer... Looks like it's the Moto dialer..?!
Am I losing my mind or what?
I have the MetroPCS variant as well, it comes with Moto Phone, Messager, and Contacts. I froze them, installed Google Dialer Framework in Magisk, and replaced them with the Google apps from the Play Store.
