Is anyone using Multipicture Live Wallpaper on their Infinity? I just upgraded from the TF201 and now it won't display a different wallpaper on each home screen. I have tried many different settings (launcher support, different settings for individual screens, etc.). It will display a wallpaper, but only the same one for each home screen. Any help would be appreciated.
im using this and not having that issue. i usually keep the same wallpaper for each screen. but i just tested it out and changed the paper of my first screen and it worked with no problems.

I am trying to have a different random wallpaper on each home screen pulled from a single folder of wallpapers. Can you please list your settings (i.e. do you have individual settings for each screen, what transition, workaround, crop, etc.)?

i have individual settings for each screen, but the only thing thats different betweene them is the actual wallpaper. My crop settings are Same as Common Settings. I'm really not doing anything different. I long press, choose wallpaper, live wallpapers, then choose Multipicture. Press settings, then click the option with the + next to it. Select which screen i want to change and then just choose my wallpaper and back out. When i back out, and get the "set wallpaper" screen, the wallpaper that shows is not actually what i chose. But when i set it, and go to the screen, it turns out to be the paper i chose. i will post shots in a few of my 5 screens.

I will keep messing with it, maybe try to uninstall and reinstall.
I would also like to know why mine won't switch between screens . I have selected a wallpaper for each screen but it doesn't change. Side note though, this app makes my wallpaper fit the screen perfectly .. Way better than stock gallery does. now if I can get it to switch wallpaper per screen this will be perfect. Also using free version so wasn't sure if that was the reason:laugh:

What are the pros and cons of using Nova launcher? I haven't used a launcher since my Original Motorola Droid. Will it interfere with the OS or cause battery drain? I like the stock launcher but would like to get this working.

its really really fast and smooth. you notice a difference right away. Thats probably the biggest advantage it has over other launchers. But, it does FC a lot. Probably to the point where you have to stop using it. I recently did a hard reset and just went back to stock. After they release an update, i may go back to it.
I haven't had any FC's yet. (Crossing fingers) But I don't use my tablet alot so that could be why. Am also using the paid version, don't know if that matters or not but so far so good for me. I like Nova much better over stock, and I really like using the multipicture live wallapaper app. also it seems to me that the stock launcher on the Infinity can't use the app right because it doesn't have scrollable wallpaper. I say this because my friend who has a Transformer TF300 which does have scrollable wallpaper works just fine with the multipicture app. So it seems any home launcher with scrollable wallpaper may work... Not a 100% sure though
Hey Guys,
I am trying to use this on my Galaxy S3, I am using Nova Prime.
Even though which picture I want for which screen, I only get the same wallpaper for all of my screens....
This is how I am doing it: -
Long press on home screen.
Choose wallpaper
Then live wallpaper and then multi picture live wallpaper
I then go into the individual screen settings and chose the relevant wallpaper
I repeat this for all of the screens
I don't change any other settings / options, I then press the back button and press set wallpaper
Am I doing something wrong?
I've even tried this on the stock launcher, but no joy
Thanks

You may just have given me the solution on a very frustrating hour yesterday. Multipicture worked fine for me on my first setup attempt, but then all the sudden I get the same picture on all screens.
Hitting the back button after adjusting the settings for each screen, I never got the 'set wallpaper' dialog. Which I thought was very strange.
What are your settings under 'common settings', please, if you don't mind.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for an app for this:
Code:
every X minutes do
select 1 photo randomly from [ list, of, gallary, albums ]
auto crop
set as wall paper
Preferably where it is smart enough to crop the image as little as possible, many of my wall papers fall between 1024x768 to 1600x1200, so it's not so necessary on a TF lol.

Yes. Select "single picture" as your source. However there would be no picture scrolling. but it does prevent your wallpapers from being cropped/pixelated.
would it also allow periodic paper switching when single picture as source is selected?
That doesn't make sense. If you only choose a single photo of course it won't change. There is however an option to pick a folder and you can pick how many minutes before it alternates. You can also choose to double tap the screen for iimmediate change.

Thats why i asked. I (and the op i believe) want an app that changes the wallpaper randomly. Not to have different wallpapers for each page. Multi live wallpaper isnt what he needs then. Wallpaper slideshow isnt perfect but it does the trick.
I'm not exactly sure if its compatible with TF, but J4velin wrote an app called Wallpaper Changer that might be what your looking for.
Let me know if it works...

wallswitch in the market does everything you want.
you can point it to a folder full of wallpapers and it will switch between them based on a timescale you want.
as long as the wallpapers in the folder are the correct size it does the job perfectly.

i dont think its optimised for tablets to be honest, although their is a setting you can choose where it doesnt crop the image.
Searching market for wall switch and multi live wall paper, suggests that it's near'ish what I want but not quite. All my stuff has been moved from a shared folder to Picasa, and I have so many that I needed 2 albums...bloody 1000 pictures to an album crap!
On the upside, looks like one of them has source available, so maybe I can figure sth out.

Those are limitations of the stock launcher - that tray isn't all that customizable. Truth be told I never use that launcher.
The snarky answer is download Go Launcher.
The real answer is I don't think so. You can change the icons that are down there, by going into the app drawer and choosing Menu->Edit, but you can't move the app drawer button. In TW 4 you can get an extra icon down there, but I don't think you can in the version we have.
On CM7; Its as easy as going into settings > ADWLauncher > UI Settings > Main Dock Style > 5. Also, in UI Settings you can hide AB BG and have a transparent dock.
I think they have an alpha version of CM7 for your phone. I think the radios don't work though. Makes me proud to own the awesome G2x!

Launchers are apps like any other and can be installed the same way. When you install a new launcher, pressing the home button gives you an option of what you want to run, and an option to set the chosen launcher as the default. EclipseLauncher can be used if you have the apk, but I think there are better. I'm a fan of Go Launcher EX, but ADW and Launcher Pro Plus are very good as well. They add drag and drop dock icons, fully customizable home screen options (number of screens, layouts, which screen is the true home), landscape mode support, themes, and a bunch more.
This is what my phone looks like with Go.

Go Launcher can be set to either. It defaults to the paged style like TouchWiz, but can be set to vertical scroll like AOSP (and Eclipse). I can't speak for sure on ADW or LPP (been I while since I used them), but I think they have options as well.

I tried both Go Launcher and Eclipse Launcher. Go Launcher would be fine except for the fact that it won't allow me to use the Feeds and Update widget, which I use all the time so thats a deal breaker. Eclipse laucher gives me the dock I want, but makes my app drawer vertical scroll and i hate that. Thanks though for giving me these options to check out, if anyone has any others let me know.

No launcher has really gotten folders right for me. The folders in Go are *almost* there...by far the best of the bunch, I just don't like how it handles multiple pages of icons in a folder...paged folders are just totally non-intuitive to me. I wish Folder Organizer was a bit better integrated into the launchers, but it works best for me regardless.

To each their own. The feed type widgets have always been too cluttered and confusing to me, so they've never been a factor in a launcher. Go has some of their own widgets..I know they have weather, Twitter, and some others, and I'm pretty sure there are other widgets of that type available in the Market.

Panoramic scrolling wallpaper?
Is there a way to have a panoramic picture (one i took preferably) to span the entire tab screens horizontal space.
Such that the left edge of the panorama is the left edge of left most home screen and right edge is right most home screen edge. So when you scroll home screens it scrolls along the panorama.
I have tried multiple apps, and the ones that allow me to select my pic, crop a small part of it for wallpaper, but i want the full picture.

An app to set that up would be amazing. Not sure if theres anything that does that now, but it is possible to do it manually with Multi Picture Live Wallpaper.
Take a panorama, split it into X parts where X is how many screens you have. Then set each part as the background for MPLWP
I'm running Clean ROM Inheritance 3.2.1 and I can't get apk's to install. Specifically Asus MyFrame and the email widget (it has oddly disappeared). After I run them it always finishes with "X app not installed". Any one know why? Thanks.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using xda app-developers app
These are both apps/widgets that are included in the main AROMA install of CROMI -- did you select them in the installer? Check in system/app if the apk files are there -- you cannot install a user app if an apk with the same name is present in the system/app folder. This is the first step I can think of right now --not much, sorry -- but if you give it a try and then report back in, we'll take it from there. Someone far more knowledgeable than me will come in eventually.
Sent from a comfortable chair from the outer ring of Purgatory. The red guy asked me to say 'hi'.
As Marty says you shouldn't need to install these - they are part of the installer in CROMI.
What are you actually trying to do?
I had the email widget after installing 3.2.1. Then after installing Bacon Reader for reddit from the play store the desktop icon got placed where the email widget was and the widget vanished. It is no longer listed as an installed widget.
I did select myframe during the CROMI setup but it does not show up in the list of installed apps.

Right, first My Frame will never show up - it is accessed by going into live wallpapers
Now onto your other issue - are you using the stock launcher? I suspect not as asus widgets don't play nicely with some other launchers. The fact you said another icon got placed over the top sounds like you are using Nova or Apex with allow widget overlapping turned on.

Yep that'll be the issue - Asus widgets don't like the non stock launcher especially if you change from the default DPI settings.
Try it on the Asus Stock launcher and I bet you won't have an issue

I couldn't find a way, I'm hoping it gets included in an update sometime in the future.

Thanks.
Any way to edit or re-order the quick settings toggles? I like how I had them in the stock UI and I can't find the settings under the standard System Settings menus.
Thanks!

Nope. This is why I uninstalled it.
I uninstalled the app. I checked battery stats one morning and the app had consumed almost 0.8 hour of my 2 hours on-screen time. Also, the day before, the app consumed around 19% of my full day's usage.
That's way too much for an app. I'd hate to see that kind of usage if Samsung actually integrates this into its future UI. They need to majorly optimize it.

I think misunderstand that this is being reported separate from the "catch-all" of system in battery stats. If this was completely integrated it wouldn't show up in battery stats at all. Mine uses a fraction of the battery apps like imgur and snapchat do. I'm very happy with it honestly
Does anyone use the app with the LED Cover? My screen no longer wakes up when I open the cover.
Good Lock App
Good Lock App
nice think
I use this with the latest update but I absolutely hate the choice of lock screen swipe animation choices. Of course I have it set to off, but still. And not entirely convinced about the task manager. The choice of colors is nice but still very limited for fine tuning. You can't get a google like grey color for instance for the pull down menu and the apps on the lock screen are kind of clunky. But I'm keeping it for now... Seems to need manual updates so far though...

their adding dark themes in the next iteration, also the updates are effed for me, it makes me restart my phone and then isn't even updated
I tried for a day but uninstalled it. It doesn't seem ready for prime time yet and didn't solve anything for me.
There are a lot of issues with it. For one my 4G LTE now shows only 4G. You can't change the wallpaper to your liking, the font and icons don't match your theme icon packs from Samsung. There's a couple more, to me this thing is in Alpha stage..

I've changed both my lockscreen and homescreen wallpapers, in settings>display>wallpapers.
I hate 4G LTE crap, 4G is LTE, HSPDA is 3.5G at best, and Verizon doesn't have 3.5G anyway.
I use dark material theme, and it still applies everywhere but the notification bar.
If it doesn't work for you that's fine, but I live it. Right now only thing I really would like is a true dark theme for the notification bar (dark background with white text) but Samsung has said hi-weekly updates are scheduled so I'm hopeful.

One other thing is I have the official Samsung case and its broken now with that installed.. You are supposed to be able to open the case lid and the screen turns on or if you get a call it shows through the case, doesn't work anymore the phone just stays off until you manually turn it on.

Yeah I put a review on their immediately.. It's basically throwing a 70 dollar case out the window.

Good, I hate seeing people complain on forums but not informing the company involves.
Yeah I can see why it would suck with the case. I can't use those types of cases, the flap gets in my way lol.

I tried GoodLock so I can get the stock "multi-task" windows, but uninstalled it because it was using too much battery power. Why does it has such high battery usage?
Also, it looks awkward with the TouchWiz menus. It feels like as if I'm using NovaLauncher on TouchWiz.
