Hi,
I'm a senior andoroid developer.
I'm writing business and mini apps for the market and companies. I would like to expand the platforms as soon as possible.
Therefore I'm looking for cross platform mobile development framework, primarily for business apps.
I've tried one, but I wasn't satisfied with it.
Can you offer any solution please?
Thanks,
Setal
Primarily I am focusing on iPad, iPhone development. I had a similar issue not so long ago, but I found a solution at MobiAccess, which is a platform independent mobile development framework. Give it a try and if you have got any question, feel free to contact me.
Adobe AIR; There are also QT Mobile projects for android and iphone (though I don't know how advance they are).
Good luck in your search.
Cross Platform
unity3d dot com
particlecode dot com
i am trying particlecode if you got anything better plz PM me.
I wasn't sure where anything like this would go, so I made sure to put it in a forum as general as possible.
I'm a beginning web designer, but seeing as I spend most of my free time on this site, I'm growing more of an interest in learning to code for the mobile platform. If anybody is willing to help, all I'm asking for is a few tips from developers here on where to begin.
I learned some very basic java in college, but was wondering if there is a better path to go on. Do I start with BASIC? Do I continue and go towards more advanced Java and stick with only one programming language?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
-Considering I've done almost everything that I can with my rooted EVO, all of you were the people I'd rather hear from. I appreciate all of the hard work that you all have done!
You can develop full market apps using the language I use called basic4android.
Its easy to use but very powerful, produces a native android apk (so no interpreters) and has regular updates.
There are free user contributed libraries that make it even better and it has been used to produce everything from live wallpapers and anti theft apps to games and gps software so is a good option to consider.
I wrote my first app after messing about with it for about an hour and was amazed how easy it makes things. Google basic4android and you will find its homepage for more info. I can't remember the address as it's saved as a bookmark on my pc not phone.
EDIT: did a google search and its at http://www.basic4ppc.com/

Hi guys,
I'm really interested in android development. I know the basic of Java programming and now I'm looking for good tutorials and documentation to learn more about android.
The internet in a really big place and often I feel like wasting my time with bad tutorials... Can somebody give me some good tutorials/doc links or even books name ?
Thanks
I'm using the bookLearn Android App Development by Wallace Jackson, it's about making an advanced Hello World! app that teaches various things you can use in your own apps.
There are many books from that author, like "Android Apps For Absolute Beginners" or a book specifically for android games. I'm sure you can find a pdf on the internet.

I am a novice and am interested in Mobile App Development for Android and would like to know what programming languages and computing concepts are required for becoming proficient with App Development ?
I skimmed through a few college websites in the field of Mobile App Development and saw that Java was a core requirement for developing apps for Android. Since I don't know Java, and programming concepts, what do you recommend for me to get started with first and then what other things I should know ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I'm working on an Android Based Robot, and I have difficulties to find answer to my questions.
I would like to use a SoC (system on chip, basicly creating a device from the chip) with android to manage all the controle.
I'm wondering what are the constraintes and limitations for using the android system.
(for instance can I use all the services such as android voice recognition ? Is there any declaration/fee to use android as OS ?)
I have been looking online already but it seems I'm not using the right keywords.
And it seems really uneasy to contact people from android.
Do you have any idea where should I look ?
Also if you have experience/answer, I would be happy to hear it.
Best Regards;
Hi !
We appreciate your enthusiastic attitude but unfortunately there is not much help here on building devices , xda is about software development basically rather than hardware
Some hint can be found here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-university
https://www.xda-developers.com/xda-university-building-your-own-android-rom/
More help might come from Google and other enthusiasts
Good luck !
Thank you for your answer,
concerning android I will have a look to the custom builds tuto,
concerning the feature I will post specific questions for each topic.
