Helloooooooo there
Just wondering, is there a .zip or another version of Dolby Mobile that stays on PERMANENTLY or via a quick switch, where it can stay on/off, depending on whether or not you decide to switch it on or off?
Im using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1655649
But this only switches on when you open the app. Pause the music, and it's off and you have to open the app again.. Vey annoying. I'd prefer to keep it on for as long as i want.
Thanks

If you are using venom Rom why you need a Dolby surround app ? It's integrated in the rom

There's a difference in sound when i click on the dolby app when im listening to something than when i don't. Perhaps it's in the rom or whatever, but there IS a difference, so i'd like that permanently
Or an All-around beats audio maybe?
I made the dolby app, so i can help. Run snd3254 -dspmode in a root shell and post the output please

Ohhh. So the improved sound im hearing, is that Beats or Dolby? Is that what you meant when you said it's switching to beats?
If so, is there any way to keep it on permanently?
I also have a cassette adapter in my car, having that exceptional quality on makes a world of a difference

I can see that now. Hmm, odd one, 'cos I tried that ROM last night but there was no Beats when I checked. Does it need activating somewhere? 'cos it didn't work automatically like other ROMs.
try going to the music player settings. I don't have sense so can't give you step by step guide. Should be looking for sound enhancer? When you press that the option of beats should come up if it's not already chosen
in the music player press the options button & sound enhancer & it should be in there.

The beats audio is not a very good audio system for music as it just distorts the lower and midrange bass (speaking as an audiophile with a $1000+ audio setups). The best thing to do if you want better quality is just to use voodoo sound with a kernel that has it built in. The trinity kernel has it built in and I think Faux123 does too. But to each his own.

Also there is an app on the Play Store called Volume+. One of its EQ's (which is what Beats Audio is) is a "Beats Emulation" as they call it. Just another option. Personally I found that Voodoo Sound Control was more than enough to make sound great on the phone.

hey strapped, in your supreme sense rom i can enable the sony xloud audio in the miktweaks app... is this the same as beats audio? right under this option it shows beats boost, but its gray'd out, so i wasn't sure if it was redundant. also, dps manager seem to always force close on me when i tried playing music thru my headphones so i got rid of it, is that supposed to happen?
i also noticed in system/app there is htcmusicenhancer.apk and audioeffectservice.apk, can you shed any light on what these are related to and what would happen if i removed them? thanks man! always appreciate your help!

In SS their is a mixture of beats and xloud. Its grayed out because beats really isn't compatible with Sense 2.1 or whatever. But if you remove the apks it would most likely just quiet the sounds down. I gotta merge all my files over to my new os today so ill look at them. I'm not one to remember things off top hand till I look at all the files

My fault fellas, I should have mentioned what Rom I'm on. I have been using this mod on JB Roms. I'm currently on Linaro 4.1.2 JB v.17. The first version is what I'm using no need to deal with changing build prop. Just how I like it nice and simple, Flash Awesome beats than install Noozxiode from the market, I also control sound with noozxiode. Awesome beats is the first DL from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1992553. Same link from my first post but this is the first page.
Flashing the awesome beats gives better sound then just noozxoide alone, but I don't do anything with the awesome beats. Control the effects with noozxoide. Here's some ss

Anyone know why mods like this don't work with Poweramp? The only reason I'm still using Sense-based ROM's is because nothing works with Poweramp. I really want to make the final move over to Jelly Bean but I like the SRS, Dolby and Beats enhancements you can get for Sense ROMs.

Haha I have done in the past and it mostly throws up people replying to audio mods for various devices claiming they do and do not work with Poweramp. I have found that Dolby Mobile should work on newer JB ROMs, now I just need SRS and Beats too I wouldn't mind if they worked with another player that wasnt Poweramp, but sometimes its hard to tell if you can't turn them on/off on the fly like you can with Poweramp.

Good question, I recently tried AC!D and beats, both were a no go. After installing beats it would just freeze my phone shortly after booting. I think acid is only for local music players though (correct me if I'm wrong), I'd like something that works with Play Music and Pandora. Not really a huge concern of mine until someone can confirm something works without bugs.

Have you tried Noozxoide? I have had success with it on every ROM it has been installed on and it works across all apps.
Have you considered an eq application? That is all beats audio is. I can't speak for dolby, Sony, and others.
I'm an avid audiophile, so I know eq can be tedious if you want a set it and forget it option, but it is worth it, to me.

I did try Noozxoide when installing acid, I played with the EQ while using Play Music and Pandora, but I didn't notice a single change. Maybe I didn't select the correct settings while installing. It also made everything extremely loud to the point where it was like meant for people with hearing problems.

Beats Audio and DSP isn't just an eq app. There are libs added into the soundfx folder so it'll work properly. I have also tried Noozoxide and I haven't noticed any changes when changing the eq levels

No it does not. Usually it'll come with the rom or there will be a flash able zip floating around with the files. What I'm having issues with is getting it to work on liquid without the bass becoming over powerful that it sounds distorted

I have realized that it is hit or miss when it comes to this. Sometimes I get it to work on one ROM but can't on another ROM. I also noticed that you have to have some pretty good headphones to really get to know the difference in the audio quality.
