I am interested in using kexec to run cm9 but i dont want to loose some of the software goodies on samsungs stock like the s-beam and motion activation. Is there anything i can port these onto cm9?

Hey just wondering if any one has given any thought to this, I know the leak is for the European, GSM variant but would it be possible to mix and match to make a Rom.i imagine not without the kernel but I figured did ask.

Read somewhere on here that the CM team is already working on CM10 for this device now that we have an unlockable boot loader.

Yes that is awesome, but I actually don't mind the Samsung overlay (highly modified and running nova of course), and there camera has really grown on me. I take allot of pics and while I like pro capture, LG camera and camera zoom fx, they never really seem to work like stock for me.

i was also wondering if we would get a port of the jellybean + touchwiz leaked update.
for some reason i like touchwiz a lot more then stock now.
Even AOSP Jellybean without Samsung enhancements would be interesting to try.
I'm not much into CyanogenMod (no offense to its many fans).

Is there any way to get the stock camera apk from the s3 to work on CyanogenMod10? I miss all the options of the stock camera apk
+1
There is no camera app in Jelly Bean to replace for starters. Also the ICS TW camera code is too integrated into the framework to be a simple fix. I'm also hoping someone comes up with something better than what we have now eventually.

need a rom maker to cross touchwiz with jellybean. would be nice to have the stock apps on the new android... stock camera, nfc, svoice, beam, wifi direct, etc
since samsung is working on updating the phone, i imagine this will happen on it's own in due time...

Yeah, January of 2013 for Verizon users!
You could always install a launcher overtop of a themed modded TW ROM like Bean's or Synergy's.
The use of cm10 and MIUi only involves jellybean. Pure vanilla..
Overall I have been satisfied for the fact of vanilla greatness of ICS on my fascinate before drawing to the sgs3.
Nevertheless, I love the vanilla-ness, but has anyone seen prts of the smart apps like smart alert the smart text-to-call available as an apk or a zip build?
I love the small factors of the stock touchwiz with these features. Has anyone found ports of these available through stock android?
For one I hate the calender app for stock
Any input will be appreciated if seen or not.

Is there any way to get TW camera or its features in the AOSP camera for JB?
Or to get TW camera apk to work on AOSP?
Just wondering..

Check out incubus's tmobile leak port. I have found this to be a better experience than aosp jb right now. No incoming calls wait or wierd issues. To answer your question he included the note 2 camera and you could flash it to try, works better than sg3 camera on jb

I just came from 4.1 Touchwiz based roms and I really loved how I was able to pause while I'm shooting a video. But I just switched to 4.2 AOSP because I love AOSP, but the camera just doesnt have that feature. Im just wondering is there any modded camera apk that has this function? And why does Touchwiz have it but AOSP doesnt.. :/
It's a tw feature. It's all in the TW framework. I doubt someone could just add it to aosp. I mean, unless Cyanogen does it.

I hate to say it but Samsung finally got their **** together.

AOSP has always lacked camera features when compared to a manufacturer's own software. It's sort of an Achilles Heel for aosp which Google has been trying to rectify with additions like panoramic mode and now photosphere. Unfortunately photosphere is limited to nexus devices for now in CM10.1.

I've had the 4.2 camera with working photosphere on 4 different sgs3 ROMs so far. Have the flashable zip always on my SD card ready for another.

You can get photosphere working on TW ROMs but you have to do a dance with the focusing if you want to take a normal picture without it force closing. I don't really consider that workable.
Secondly, I made that comment specifically in regards to CM's official statement that photosphere compatibility is restricted to Nexus devices in their nightly builds. I should have clarified.
