Music Videos

Does anyone know whether having video flagged as a music video has different functionality on the windows phone than regular video files? Obviously it is nice that you can choose to see just music videos in the Zune music . But here are a few things that would be useful...
Having music videos play when the screen is off
Having a playlist of music videos
Having the video start from the beginning every time, rather then where it left off
Also, does anyone know of a utility on the Windows platform to change the "music video" flag?
I don't believe WP7 treats "music videos" any different from normal videos. If you want just the music (play in the background, make playlists, etc.), then using music video files (which are huge, plus require a lot more RAM and battery to decode) is silly. There are tools that can extract the audio tracks from a video file, allowing you to save them just as audio files, if or some reason you don't have the audio file already. It's been years sisnce I used any such tools though; a web search will help you more now than I can with finding them. As for the "music video" identifier, it's probably just a metadata tag on the file. Windows Explorer should be able to edit it just fine; right-click the file, go to Properties, then Details, and remove the tag.

some player or sever, take the place of FTP sever

Are there some players or severs, taking the place of FTP sever. For example, I want to watch the MKV movie in my PC, but I am in bed, and I only have a Phone. If you know it, tell me, thank you.
I know one way
I know one way, but you should download a Server, called Vidon.me media Server. Then you also have Vidon.me player. If you have both, you can watch movies from your PC in bed.Hope to help you.
Can you describe it in detail?
Can you describe it in detail?
I describe the process
Download free VidOn media Server from www。vidon。me. Download free VidOn player from app store, for example, Apple, Google play, Amazon, and so on. Combine VidOn Server with VidOn player to take the place of FTP Server.
Start VidOn media Server and set it. Add the MKV movie, for example, Training Wheels. Create a folder and put the MKV movie into the folder. Add the folder in Media Library Management and you will view the MKV movie from your PC or MAC on your Phone or Pad. So is added Image folder.
You can also set the Server, for example, Server name, web page language, frequency of media library Auto-update, and so on. After adding a media path into VidOn Media Server, it will automatically scan all media resources under this path and categorize them into Movie, TV Show, Video or picture. It automatically collects info of movies and series like poster, plot, genre, director, actors, rating, etc.
According to the above steps of adding MKV folder, you can also watch your beautiful pics from your PC or Mac. If you have a pad and want to save a screenshot while playing the movie, press pause, then chick screenshot. The image will be saved to your folder. Save, copy and print the image, press folder button. You can also edit the image by click ‘image editing’. It is supported to browse by zooming and rotating. Picture formats supported,PNG,JPG and JPEG.
You can try ‘graffiti’ and edit your picture. As can be seen from the picture above, you can change brush size, brightness of the image that you added. You can also change the font color of the text, such as bold and italic.

[Feature request][Resolved] Continious playing folder to folder

Please, add a feature - continuously playing video from one folder to next folder (similar to hardware MP3 players).
I have android media center in my car, so, i have a lots of music videoclips on hdd sorting by folders.
Now, after playing last video in folder MX Player stops.
And it's take some time and attention to find next folder in list, open it and start first video.
Please, add this feature!!!
MX Player is amazing! I love it!!!))
I saw from the sticky thread that this has been implemented. This is one of the major features I thought was missing from mx player, and I never would have found it if I hadn't come here with another issue.
I feel this incredibly useful new feature should have advertised somewhere. The change log in the play store maybe?
Did you know you can long press on folder and files and then press play button?
you can enable it by change sort view
just cancel sort by folder
enable/disable it menu->view

[Resolved] Automatically changing playlists

Hi everyone,
I am looking for an app with the following features:
- Play all kinds of differently encoded videos
- have a daily automatically changing playlist of X videos that are played in loop all day long
I had a look at MX player, VLC etc., but they don't even seem to offer playlists ... (I thought about using macros to achieve that second feature, but without playlists ...)
I would be glad about any suggestions.
thc88
PS: Does it make sense to ask the developers of MX Player to implement such a feature in their pro version?
This can already be achieved in MX Player. In the video selection menu, select all videos in a folder, and press "play selected" at the toolbar at the top.
In your player settings when player a video, go menu -> play -> loop all
Thank you for your reply.
But I think in this case the videos will eternally be the same.
But I want a certain number of videos be looped for a day and the next day another certain number (for instance 5) of different videos be looped for another day.
you should use tasker
1-you create a folder "X" where you put your videos in
2-You create another folder "Y" where your put the videos that have to be played
3-with tasker you create a task that will move/copy files from "X" to "y" (you have to set up days and hour for this)
4-with tasker you create a task that will erase file in folder X (you can erase them at the end of the day for ex.)
It can a little bit hard but I think you can succeed with taker and mx.
Regards.

Is there any possibility to have a delete button while a video is playing on MX Playe

Most of the time I'm getting few short video collections to select which once are best.
So I'm playing them with MX Player.
Rather than remembering the best video names or the tittles is there any way to simply delete the video from the SD card or memery while it's playing on MX Player?
Ex: Replace any button from the toolbar or a floating delete button or a universal delete button
No one ever had a requirement like that?
