[Kernel][Fixed][Updated 8/14] Flashable Camera&WiFi Zip for ICS Sense4,Sense3.6 Rom
Hi Guys, we all knew that Virtuous Team have released Virtuous Infinity v1.31 alpha2 FULL SENSE 4 ROM with working camera and camcorder,because of their 3.0.16 kernel sources. But when we do use that kernel on other sense 4 rom it break wifi and other stuff....but this morning from ICESense_v5.1 forum, we do have camera breakthrough! Big thanks to tgeorg If u like to thanks him and see his original post click on his name.....

The problem with the virtuous kernel is, the module for wifi is renamed from bcm4329.ko to bcmdhd.ko and also the firmware files are changed.
So I take one of the virtuous kernel updates for my camera chip and changed the name of the module from bcmdhd.ko to bcm4329.ko but this is not enough. If I insmod the name is still bcmdhd , this must be changed in the module at offset 582E4 from bcmdhd to bcm4329. then lsmod shows "bcm4329 440166 0 - Live 0xbf000000" and also the firmware files from the virtuous rom must be taken to fully functioning. they are 7 files:

If you put all this together and make an update.zip then everything works. Camera and Wifi.

Tested my self and couples other people confirmed work for DHD/INSPIRE 4G with SENSE 4 base rom ...:good::victory::highfive:
HD 8M camera work only with Flash On....otherwise still have glitches....HD Video quality work like a charm.....:good:
Before u download make sure to check what kinda camera sensor/chip that ur phone use>Open root explorer> sys>android_camera>sensor>open with text so it will show u what kinda chip that ur phone use and ENJOY......

Thanks for your effort. :good: As stated in previous post, Samsung cam works ONLY when flash light on; otherwise some weird vertical line occupied half of the picture taken. Wifi hot spot is not working, but Wifi works. I DO need Wifi hot spot so I have to go back to VI alpha 2 for now.

Desire had no Overlay hardware, so libvomemdia.so fail to create decode memheap on nonexists overlay hardware.
I try replace libvomemedia.so with old version, but libmediaplayerservice.so is dependence it. so i hexedit libmediaplayerservice to break dependence.
EDIT:
livomemedia.so from stock 2.2 rom(2.xx i forgot, no any mod on this file)
libvomediaplayerservice.so from DHD stock 2.2 (1.32.832.6).
voVidDec.dat from stock 2.2. this file is license file of VisualOnMediaDecoder.Without it, VisualOn' logo will be display on screen center when play video.
ShangHai VisualOn supply android high quality av en/decoder to HTC,MOTO...It is a CHINESE company.

This rom is a porting of android 2.3.4 from optimus net, it is fully working except some bugs (see the end of the post).

HOW TO INSTALL:
You need latest gingerbread baseband (v20g).
Reboot in recovery
Partition SD card
wipe cache,data and dalvik + format system.
Finally flash the zip and reboot the phone.
Now the ROM has been succesfully flashed!
If you notice lags and you think that the rom is not fast enough, please flash paolo's v6 touchfix kernel.

actually i have not enough time to make some screenshots....wait some minutes and flash the rom
you need gingerbread baseband installed.
Nice to see some real development work, not just a quick abandonware kitchen job like some other 'roms' we've seen lately...
If you could list the major differences between our stock P500 rom and the Optimus Net rom you have developed in the first post (you probably already plan to anyway) that would be great and probably save a bunch of questions later (probably not with some...)

i have not developed the rom....gianvolpe started the developement, then hecatae made gps, sensors, wifi (and maybe something other) working, finally i made camera working.
it is a stock 2.3.4 rom probably fully working and rooted.

it is smoother, faster, better graphic performance....
No need to open new thread, if you fixed the camera with the opro libs you should put that on the original thread where gianvolpe and hecatae were doing the port

most benchmarks are measuring only a special case, so it's not really representative.

Hi, me again,
Noticed that one of the messaging widgets doesn't display the correct information, as you can see the messages on the left widget are displayed correctly, but the othe widget one is full of angry faces and the other blank.
I don't use that widget so not a problem, just pointing it out.
Music and GPS seem good.
Noticed backlight keys don not work, downloaded keyboard backlight from the market to fix.

If its sense 4 keep everything as sense 4 .... Now there are too many 4.1sense rom theme as sense 5 which is ugly imho. Why can't we keep everything original. If they wanna change, let them flash add ons.

Because it´s the taste and the likes of the dev who gives his ROM to the Community, you don´t have to use it.
Cook your own ROM, and you will be much prouder if this runs on your device!

Yea, I get it. But not everyone knows how to cook their own rom. I'm just giving suggestions. Maybe most people here prefers original theme too... Installation
Install ROM
1. Reboot in ClockworkMod recovery
2. Make a NANDroid backup (Optional: in case you wnat to go to previous version)
3. Wipe Data/Factory Reset
4. Wipe Dalvik Cache
5. Wipe Battery Stats (Optional)
6. Navigate to "Install zip from sdcard" --> "Choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the downloaded rom zip file
7. After installation, reboot
The first boot may take some time, so wait.... if it freezes for more than 10 min, reboot the phone.
Install INT2EXT
If you like to increase the storage for application, you can use INT2EXT
Partition ur sd card in recovery. (Do not partition for SWAP partition) and follow the instructions in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716124
Note: Do not install SWAP2INT if prompted
Reboot
Install Gapps
I recommend using slim Gapps from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265564

In-call screen is not the main problem... the most important problem is Camera and after that battery draining...

but it makes a huge problem that you can't see the caller and it makes huge problem to identify the caller . I THINK HE HAS DONE A GOOD JOB

Wonderful ROM, it booted into safe mode the first time but it is working really neat right now, I feel like you are getting really close to the sensor thing.
@mortal19xx IMHO I can't stand a rom without camera, it's just a big no for me.

The camera does work may be it is not perfect, even i was able to capture picture in panorama mode but it is bit laggy
I flash it...its good.,,camera work but not perfect,,,its laggy...battery drains fast...gallery is good but cant scroll the pics with the arrow keys on keyboard...i install my favorite game hill climb racing but show FC,,,wifi can find the network but cant connect to it,,i take a antutu benchmark test and score was 3602 thats not bad at all,,whatever with all of these bugs,,u did a great job pal,,and i appreciate that...thanks a lot...:thumbup:

Best CM 10.1 Rom so far.
the best thing is that the caller is now working great
The camera actually is better the other CM 10.1 Rom , smooth on my phone, and even can record the movie
the gallery is (weird) laggy though. But it's not a bid deal since quickpic is a perfect one for replacing
Haven't test the battery yet but the other thing I've noticed is that the live wallpaper doesn't work on this rom

No,,the wireless modem is working cuzz i connect to it with the stock rom...but with this rom cant connect,,i dont know whats the problem,,maybe i should reflash it to fix,,,

gps is working fine, I wiped my chacha yesterday and weather widget got my city right.
Monster shooter is working for me, dunno what you did man but this is a totally new chacha for me
