You dont need one, theirs modified apks now that allow you to use Google wallet with out. I tried one but for some reason my phone freezes when It trys to activate.

It will let you try maybe but mobile payments won't work because you can't pass the card data

Yeah, S'all good. I just recently came back. been like a 5-6 months or so.
We can help you it's just that some people think there mods when there not.
On the other note what was the problem so when someone else encounters it and search they can find a solution.

Yes I am rooted. Any issue with future ota upgrades as this is pre-installed. I didn't know if I needed to do this a certain way.

If there's a developer edition to any paid app available on the XDA threads then it's legit, otherwise a direct copy is indeed against XDA rules. You must delete
