Use the Inspire and One x at the same time? - HTC Inspire 4G

Hey guys. I recently received an HTC Inspire from a friend of mine. I had the Samsung captivate. Now i have the HTC one x. I am currently using a micro sim card on my one x(my main device). But i still have the old regular sim card that is in the Inspire now. Is there a way where i can use both of the phones on my data plan? I rooted the Inspire with that ace hack and it said it had sim card unlock but it didn't work. Is this at all possible?

I have an iPhone 4 that uses the micro sim. I switch back and forth. I went to a hole in the wall cell phone shop and they used a sim cutter to stamp out my sim. I put the micro sim into the cut out and pop it into my Inspire 4G. Works just fine!

I know they'll work if you switch the sim card between haha but he said using both sims at the same time, which doesnt work

How did you get your old sim card to work in the Inspire? It always shows up no service.

Unlocking and running on T-Mobile USA?

Hi all. Just wondering if the Inspire can be unlocked and ran using a T-Mobile USA SIM card and if it'll work? Will it be limited?
Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
It'll be EDGE only. No 3G or 4G. T-mo and AT&T use different frequencies.
Just get the Nexus S. Inspire is a great phone but so is the NS

"Unlocked" Sensation- asking for PIN with AT&T sim...

So I bought a used T-Mobile Sensation 4G. I have 2 sim cards- a prepaid T-Mobile for cellular and an AT&T data sim (from the Tablet that I sold). The T-Mobile card has worked perfectly (for phone calls). I put the AT&T card in today for the first time and the phone was locked and asked for the pin.
I am running Revolution 6.6.1, Sense 3.6, ICS 4.0.3.
Can somebody tell me what the problem might be? I know the data plan from AT&T is meant only for tablets... is that the issue?
I ask because I am taking the phone with me to Europe in a couple weeks and want to make sure it's ready so that I can pop a sim card in and be ready to go when I arrive.
Your not unlocked bro do it again but art you won't get 3g fyi only edge but still works

Will a At&t Skyrocket LTE sim card work on iPhone 4s?

I recently switched from a iPhone 4s to a skyrocket. In order to get the lte network on my skyrocket I had to go to the at&t store to get a new sim card for the skyrocket. I was simply wondering if anyone has tried cutting a skyrocket sim card and has successfully used it on their iPhone 4s?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
It will work. The problem is you have to call AT&T and tell them to switch your data to the Iphone data plan. My girlfriend has an Iphone 4 and everytime she wants to use her Skyrocket, her data won't work. The same thing happens as soon as she switch back to her Iphone. It's a hassle and she ended up sticking to just one phone.
I got a sim card cutter and cut my lte sim card to fit my iPhone 4s. Problem is my iPhone doesn't even see the sim card?! It simply says no sim. Can it be that the lte sim card isn't being read correctly?

(T-Mobile) Can I cut my parents' SIM card to Micro SIM for use in the One S?

My parents have old dumb phones right now. I opened two new lines on our family plan (so four total now) and got two One S's for my parents to use so they don't have to wait until the end of the year. They want to keep their numbers (SIM right?) but their SIM is regular size, can I cut them down to Micro SIM and use it then?
As for the two added lines I opened to get the One S, i'm going to take over one with my Galaxy Nexus and the fourth one I'm going to cancel with an ETF in two months.
you can cut it down to size yourself, Just be careful not to cut the gold plated chip.
You can also buy Sim cutters for cheap online.
And if you ring tmobile, they will send you some out for free and transfer the number(s) you want to keep onto the new sim
Their should have been a micro sim in each box. You just tell your provider you have a new micro sim and they can transfer it over. You just tell them the number on the micro sim.

if i tell them to transfer the numbers from the old lines (1,2) to the new micro SIMs (lines 3,4). What will happen to the numbesr for the lines 3 and 4?
Just give them the number you have to the micro sim you want. I don't think the order matters.
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda premium
Unless you opened up new numbers just to get the phones???
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda premium
Anyway it shouldn't matter. You are going to do an ETF anyway. Just say you want this sim with this number and that sim with that number.
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda premium
Yes you can cut your SIM but you have to be very careful.
But as others said, if you purchased the phone from T-Mobile, call them or go to a store, they should swap it for a MicroSIM for free.
If you didn't buy the phone at T-Mobile, you can always buy a MicroSIM for few bucks.
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
If you want to cut them which avoids all the ordering new cards, number swapping etc just Google 'micro sim template'

[Q] HTC One X can't find network on T-Mobile

Okay so I bought a AT&T htc one x. I rooted the phone. Unlocked the boot loader. Now on rebel rom. I put my tmobile SIM card in the phone and it gives me no reception. At all. And says no service. I went to the settings and mobile data, than did network operators. Did select automatically. And says "unable to connect to network at this time, please try again." So than I did search networks. All it pulls up is AT&T and US. So I got curious and tried us and it had no positive return. Now I need help as I seriously just got this phone yesterday and it sucks its just sitting here now. And no I have no phone. Any help would be appreciated.
did you SIM unlock it?
I SIM unlocked mine, and got no reception, but I didn't have a chance to change APNs and such.

Yeah I bought the sim unlock code prior to rooting with success on stock sense but still never had reception.
Update: I disassembled the phone to check the cables to see if any were loose or damaged and to find out that ALL antenna cables are in tact in good shape, connected perfectly and everything, so I know that this is a issue within the software of the phone. I did use an unlock code on the stock os and when I didn't get reception than is when I rooted the phone with still no change. Any help is appreciated thank you!
You still haven't mentioned if you changed your APN settings.
Same thing happened with me last night, but on an iPhone. Just won't get service no matter what SIM I put in.

I did have the apns how they're suppose to be. And I put my sim back in my iPhone and it works fine. Its just every time I put my sim in this phone it will not work. Still really confused because hardware is fine.

What this person said....you have to change apn settings, also did you trim your tmoblie SIM card down to make it fit? Technically if apn if changed and you have a working tmobile SIM it shouldn't be possible to pick up att. Also did you try using it it case icons are saying att but signal is tmobile. You should be able to check what band you are on to verify.....good luck on your quest

Craigslist..? Got an att sim to check out? Maybe a quick call to at&t to verify the imei is not blacklisted if you haven't already

Yes. It was blacklisted sadly. This is why I hate craigslist. I got ripped off. Now I understand why it was so cheap compared to the other ones. I guess it was kinda my fault. Thanks guys for all your suggestions.

It really wasn't what I was hoping. But it sucks they do that but they do what they gotta do. I'm just sol on this phone. Taking a $200 loss. But I think I may just part the phone out considering the screen is brand new and the parts are pricey now days. Well. Not to sure what I'm gonna do with it yet actually. But hopefully something beneficial.
