Force Closes
I tried and it force closes, I think it is because we don't have 60MB of free space on your /system partition for Offline/Online files and 30MB of free /system space for Online Only files.
I installed the offline version and it works like charm with no problem at all.
Make sure you have set permissions right
It does work for me. I've been using it on cm9 for some time and worked well.
Try downloading from here
Select "Mikeyxda's version 6" file Online only via Mediafire - 14.01MB
========
Also, flash using cwm recovery rather than downloading apk file. Pushing apk file always gave me force closes.
Make sure you download files for arm7 only.

I have installed several versions of Google Now for ICS. Search etc. is working as long as I type that. If I try to use voice search that will work too, but the phone doesn't stop listening so that I can't finish the voice search.
Did anyone of you found a solution for this?
The new offline version 7 (30~MB) works fine.
It's faster and more stable than the Online version.
I have the online version as I'm on miui and not sure if I got enough space. How to check system partition space remaining

There's no difference between the files. It's just there in case you can't download from the first source because of some issues.

Atm App2zip does not work for all the devices, it's still experimental and not widely tested, so first of all, especially before backing-up something important, make some test to see whether it works for you (e.g. open App2zip and put in the flashable zip some apps you don't really care, uninstall them and then restore the zip via CWM recovery).
---------------------------------------------------
App2zip allows to backup applications directly to a zip file flashable via CUSTOM recovery, you can build your own update.zip on the fly, no need for PC.
ROOT REQUIRED!
Building your flashable zip is easy:
1) Choose the apps to be included in the zip file
2) Click GO! and wait until the zip is done. That's it!
Even system apps can be included in the zip file but make sure they don't have dependencies and they don't share data with other system apps (otherwise they won't be restored properly).
Restore via stock recovery is not supported yet.
Special thanks to:
michaelg117 (for the idea), Fnorder (signapk script), people in "flashable app backup" thread.
Google Play Link
Feel free to use this thread for any comment or report, if the app does not work for you please tell which device and ROM you're on. Thank you!
Sounds good

I'm planning to let the free version users to edit the zip file name along with new features for the pro version.
In the meanwhile i put in the play store an update (ver 1.02), more devices supported now, if App2zip didn't work for you give it a try.
I like the idea very much, but I have a questions (maybe a silly one).
Would it backup the apps and its data or only the app itself?
Sorry but I don't understand if it back up the data as well as on Titanium.
If it does I would be amazed since restoring them from the recovery should be way faster.

Atm it makes backup of both, data and apk (and odex file too).
It would be nice an option to select between apk and apk & data, i think i'll add it, soon or later.

May i take a look at a zip file you make with App2zip? (PM me) please do not include paid apps!
Also, can you tell me which is the mount point of your internal storage?
In the modern devices with built-in emmc the internal storage card (emmc) is usually mounted as "/mnt/sdcard" while the removable storage as "/mnt/sdcard_ext" (or similar), if the emmc's mount point is different there could be some problem.
But, i'm just assuming, i'm still working on it.

Just updated App2zip to v1.03
- The name of the zip file can be easily changed even in free version.
- App2zip is now suitable for more devices, at least, it should be! any feedback is appreciated, this is the kind of work you can't test on the emulator
Just tested with 2 apps and flashed the zip and it worked, it stores apps back with data. Nice work

Actually pro version just makes available 3 extra settings, and so, BIG THANKS to people who support this project even though they see not big difference between free and pro version.
Atm i'm working to make the app more reliable and suitable for as many devices as possible. Later i will start to add new features, pro version will have definitely more.
Does not work on SE Arc S(LT18i)... Dammit, it would be cool to restore apps via recovery...

Facebook
Flashplayer
Warning: You will loose any app data associated with these apps!

I can confirm (at least on my phone) that Google Now works!! I will not be posting any links until I get this approved by our devs as I've heard some phones don't have enough room in the system partition to install all the lib files. But after fiddling around with it for an hour I got it to work voice search and all. Once I get this approved I will (try to) make a full guide to get this on your phones!!

Alright, now that I have approval of the devs, I will ATTEMPT to make a flashable zip. All you will have to do is boot into bootmenu and flash to get google now! Does the google now voice search have a offline voice recognition language pack? I canĀ“t seem to download any language pack like the jelly bean users can...and does anybody know what languages the offline recognition works with?
Has anyone else lost ability of speech to text? Google now world with speech but i can no longer have speech to text in my texting.

MUST BE ROOTED
Updated 8/17/13
This is for everyone that wants more internal memory for apps and games (that's if you have a large ext-sd like 32gb or 64 gb). I have noticed alot of people need the app to sd feature but can't use that anymore because google seems to think we don't need it LOL. Please follow all instructions.
EDIT: I found a video that will show you how to swap your apps and games to sd and it's very simple. You will be able to get your internal space back and play games and use apps stored on extsd.
EDIT 2: trazfer says that the foldermount app isn't very user friendly and he recomends using GL to SD (root) from the play store here is the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slf.ListglApp
I'm leaving the YouTube video below for people to have two options which ever one works out best for that person.
Thanks to trazfer for the report

Wow! Over a hundred views and not one thanks or comment. Is this not working for anyone? I'm enjoying the use of more internal space.

MUST BE ROOTED
This is for everyone that wants more internal memory for apps and games (that's if you have a large ext-sd like 32gb or 64 gb). I have noticed alot of people need the app to sd feature but can't use that anymore because google seems to think we don't need it LOL. Here's what I did! I went here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933849 and downloaded this app to get init.d support (must have init.d support). Install busybox by Stericson from the play store and run busybox let the app load after smart install is loaded choose install and then normal install (do not choose smart install) then reboot. If you have the Uni-init v1.0.apk downloaded from the first link I posted just install it run the app choose activate when finished choose verify it should say success then just reboot. Go to second link below and install the Root External 2 Internal SD app and run it. Please follow all the instructions on play store for that app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.codlab.int2ext Please follow all instructions. After doing all of the above you can use your external sd as main storage. Enjoy

Well foldermount is not user friendly. I find out GL to SD card(root) is much better and user friendly thanks btw

Now that we have CWM and a functional ROM can we move apps to the sd card
idk im wondering if this is possible ?
GL to SD
Some apps do work where you can transfer to sd card but some apps you can't, it's pretty cool for big games like asphalt
is this applicable in SM-T210? coz mine says my device doesnt support app2sd.
Moving app to SD functionality is built into my GTab 8.0

I have the same issue issue as this gentleman, my SM-210R is not supported by app2sd. Is there any other way to transfer the apps on a rooted device?
thanks

Sir. i have found a way to fix this issue that doesn't let us move apps to SD. i have found this Foldermount application which puts the Data or Obb files or anyfile in my Internal Storage into my SD Card Storage. if you still need a fix to this issue i may upload it here.

Please do, this would help the community.
Foldermount is in the play store.
But if you need to mount more than 3 folders, you will have to pay
Still a great app. (I paid for the app)
