I ****ed up. I dont know what to do.
I updated my phone with LG launcher. Now i have newest C version. How can i root my phone now? And after this my phones internal memory has 0 free space. HOW? i dont understand. i didnt instaled anything. and i cannot root. i tryed everything.
Reflash you cellphone
I think you will have to re-flash using the KDZ file & LG flash too.
Then you can root it using megatron.
You can use v21E baseband(if you like) from the link below:

Awesome! What can we flash it with though?
We need a custom recovery first then this probably needs to be compiled into a flashable zip

Hi,
and if I wanna try, how to flash ?
grazie
So is there a way to flash the stock rom...
Maybe Dev. Fab985 will be kind enough to give us the steps in flashing this KDZ (stock FW) file.
Yep. I used kdz updater on my optimus one, odin on my samsung devices and nvflash on optimus 2x. Will there be any program like this to flash original firmware.
How about these steps( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060121 )from other LG phone? Will it work on O3D?
Just semi bricked my O3D
Doesn't boot anymore after changing some system files
And can't upgrade via the LG tool because it says my software is up to date already :s
I can get into this nice menu via holding down the volume down button while powering on and releasing it after the screen goes black.
Try this tutorial, i've successfully updated same version
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1156549
Your tutorial worked just fine.
Thanks!
Thanks to you for feedback
Just installed a app and it asked to re-boot the phone so i did and now it just gets stuck on the lg screen any ideas anyone ?
I haven't installed this rom btw still on the rom that came with the phone.

It seems like the current zergRush exploit is patched in the latest V21b so rooting with SuperOneClick or Doomlord's script doesn't work anymore. All other exploits were only for Froyo as far as I know.
You can't directly flash ThiaiZ's rom because you can't root your phone at the moment. You can flash the official V21a rom if you follow the instructions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18082599
That rom is still rootable with the latest SuperOneClick so you can use the stock rom to see if you like it or install ClockWork to flash ThiaiZ's rom after you flashed V21a and rooted it. As far as I can tell ThiaiZ has done a great job with his roms.
I have the V20a, and he drinks more than me
I'll take a look , let's flash.
EDIT: Rooted, I'm going to flash
DONE !

I have 21b too. Can't root it too.
But I can't also go back to 21a. phone restarts and I get a message from the update utility that there's a problem in connectivity between pc and the phone.
Who else tried to go back to 21a? any success?

I did go back using the kdz method without loosing any apps or data, then I rooted and got rid of all the junk.
this is how to go back to 21A:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
good luck
LG optimus 3d p920 GB 2.3.5 successfully rooted with "megatron_windows" (see Manbear pigs thread) but ONLY after I factory reset the phone (wiped all apps etc) PRIOR TO THAT IT FAILED (as did superoneclick).
I don't understand these directions from the FAQ:
"Q. How to get back to stock? I need to give my phone to warranty services how do I revert to official LG rom?
A. Check this thread. It is the v10b 2.2 stock rom as a flashable zip package. If you can't access the recovery, then see if the firmware for your country is available here or use this tool. Download the firmware and use the KDZ tool to flash. You will find instructions to use the KDZ tool on this thread. For a picture guide, check this thread.
Also for official GB lovers, see this and this. It is a v20g rom in flashable zip package. Or if you'd rather flash v20c/g roms from LGMDP, the links for that can be found in this thread.
If you are on Optimus V, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1025911
If you are on the Optimus T, see this post. Uses the KDZ method.
Q. How do I restore the stock recovery?
A. Download the original recovery zip file from here and flash it. (Yes, you can flash a recovery from within recovery itself)"
I have LG P500 from USA T-Mobile. I'm on V20 Baseband.
1)Is kdz the only way to go back to stock?
2)Which way is the safer and better way to get back to stock?
3)How (full instructions) to get back to stock rom for USA T-Mobile?
4)How (full instructions) to get back to stock recovery for USA T-Mobile?
yes you can flash a recovery from recovery, if it is a flashable zip
you need to stick with your phone not other variants of LG p500, O-1(Europe), O-T or O-V, dunno what is the T-mobile USA version, but is it written inside your phone under battery
1) KDZ is for flashing software in your phone, but beware, if you are unexperienced you may brick your phone for good, but you can try it, DO NOT PULL OUT BATTERY OR DO SOMETHING WHILE KDZ IS NOT FINISHED FLASHING PHONE OR YOU WILL HARDBRICK IT (but, I do not think someone at service will notice that, after a hardbrick, it just went dead and nothing else, nobody knows nothing)
2)if you do not know what are you doing, nothing is safe, anyway, as I mentioned, a hardbrick is a hardbrick and if you still have warranty, you are lucky
3)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1824618 search there
4) LG P500 doesn't have stock recovery(just bootloader)
if you do not know what to flash try to find a T-mobile rom image (MAKE A REQUEST-someone will post it), and first time when flashing a recovery is to backup original rom for what will come after
LGMDP will work like this, it upgrades rom when you have an older version, so try to flash an older custom rom, find an Froyo 2.2 and flash it as any custom rom, boot, conect your phone to PC, that means that you have LG USB drivers installed, start LGMDP and w8 to detect your phone, after that goto options & help, select country, carrier, phone, w8 to detect latest update, start update
in case that your phone is not detected, boot into recovery, goto mounts and mount USB, that will make LGMDP detect your phone, start updating

KDZ is generally discouraged . However if you can find a Nandroid back up of GB , then that would be the safest way . I went back to stock froyo with the help of this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955354

Check out this thread for custom recovery and ROM of 2.3.3 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1309744 . I have a D800, recently unbricked by shorting pins, and i have managed to install TWRP and download mode is working. I can't run any rom. I need to flash a KDZ through download mode.
But all the KDZ are of 10a/10b etc , does any body know where I can find a 30x KDZ or how to upgrade without flashing numerous FOTAs?
or will my phone boot up if i install http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=13450? i think not, but still need to know.

The AT&T D800 uses a TOT file to flash back to stock. Are you in the right section? If you have a D800 you can use this to go back to KK and it's just one FOTA thru AT&T to go to LP. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663369
Hello there i am currently having problems with twrp. I am unable to flash anything through it. Everytime i go to flash something it resets itself, i dont know what to do. I am running v10j that i used from a kdz if that helps.

I don't know which TWRP you are using but either one of this 2 should work:
- Click Here and download as follow:
1- IF YOUR device came with v10j out-of-the-box YOU most flash v10j TWRP (why? B'cuz your device probably have the new hardware rev. And v10j TWRP is for that)
2- IF YOUR Device didn't come with v10j you CAN flash either TWRP v10i or v10j
Try that and report back
