i hope i am posting in the right place (i have been on the site for a while and think i am)
i have been through about 4 different ROM's last two: cyanogen 9 and cyanogen 10. now i am currently on option c HERE
what i want is a stable ROM that has working GPS working Theme chooser and supports boot animation changes. I would prefer most of the other stuff to be working as well lol
can any of you point me in the right direction?
i have searched and searched but so far i find 2 of the 3 things i want in one or if i find all 3 i see many posts about crashes and loader redraws and so on

Lol...I think your good as far as this one staying on topic (you didn't make a typo spelling out tom instead of rom)
Anyways the only roms that have theme changer are gonna be cyanogenmod and.some other aosp roms...so I think cm9 is probably your best bet...don't know if it has WiFi tether though

sorry man when i saw your looking for stable rom and working gps i could only think of stock froyo or gb that has everything working as the other roms have things that dont work right like battery drain or gps or camera and stuff like that cm7 or cm9 have stuff that arnt working right too so i wouldnt call them stable

You could try miui its themeable for sure and boot animation can be changed on any rom it just depends on if its sanim or not

MIUI v4 has it's own set of themes, not lots yet but growing, several of which are awesome. I have JB boot animation, others have worked as well. GPS and hotspot are a go as well. The rom is updated weekly.

After finally learning some things about developing, I decided that i would attempt to port a mod. It wasnt very difficult but took me alot of time to figure it out! So i really hope any of you that are still on EL30 or FC09 will enjoy this
First off i want to Completely and Fully thank MADDOGGGIN!!! He brought this to EI22 and showed me direction in porting it to EL30 and FC09. He is a Genius and deserves all the thanks for this Mod. I would also like to thank toadlife for all the hard work he does for us. I have always been faithful to his work and the file i modded was based off his work!

No this won't work on cm9. EL30 is touchwiz and cm9 is AOSP. This will work on clean gb, sleeper rom, long way to go rom if your still on bml or stock EL30. It may also work on the leaked FB15 that darkierawr put together but doubt that's been tested yet.

CM9 does not have CRT on(yet). But CRT off is standard.
Just finished CM9 CRT ON but i need testers... Im pretty sure it will work but i want to be sure.. This is for CM9 Beta 1

ive been working on this off and on for a while, and ive finally managed to get SlimICS to boot!!!
unfortunatly there are many major bugs...the biggest one: Launchers are not working so i cant test any apps
the status bar is working and i managed to enter settings through the status bar and was able to connect to my wifi network, however i can not actually test the internet as i can not access any apps
now that i have it booting though i will be devoting alot more time to it...and it looks like theROMinator and i may be working together on this one so hopefully we should have a stableish version up soon!
well. nobody tryed before because we didn't have any kernel that supported ics.. i don't know if jt's or entropy source kernels will work...

Well im gonna attempt this method on a galaxy i9000 ics Rom today...actually i just finished my science project...i have three hours till my alarm goes off for me to get up...so i think ill just stay awake and see if i can make any progress...

I heard its pretty easy to port aosp roms. This shows it lol. I may try it myself if it is reported working, makes getting aokp and others a lot easier.

Its definatly not as easy as it sounded...first they wernt flashing at all, i manged to get them to flash...but now it sends me to a boot loop. I tried to read the logcat to see what was causing the bootloop and to my suprise...logcat isnt working!!!! Ill definatly put more time into this though, i am determined to get it to at least boot up!!!! No ETA though, this is the first time ive ever ported a rom...maybe i shouldve ported some gingerbread roms before i tried porting ics...

A lot of ics roms are beginning to pop up...and Ive gotten slim ics to flash however it bootloops. But I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is and after I pick up my sister from school I'll get back to working on it...if I'm right on what's causing the bootloops then we may have another ics rom coming our way

i got it out of the bootloops!!!! but alot of stuff need fixing...i used the following guide to get it to where it is right now:

wifi is connecting though cant really test it as the launcher that came with slim (ZEAM) isnt working) so i cant access any apps...i can get to setting through the status bar though and was able to connect to my wifi
gonna reboot and do some logcats and see if i can figure out whats going on
if you want, i can upload what i have and pm you a link if you want...get two guys working on the bugs at the same time
If you can get BT audio to work I am all up for helping with testing. Just need it because of local laws.

unfortunatly this is being ported using entropys latest CM9( build so whatever doesnt work on that will not work on here...)
i doubt i could even come close to fixing bluetooth...but once this gets more stable i may look into it...but once again the chances of me getting bluetooth are very poor, pretty much impossible...even our best devs have been unable to get bluetooth to work :/

i used both! what i did was this:
got entropys latest cm9, deleted the app, media, fonts, framework folders
then i replaced the deleted ones with the ones in the 3.6 base
i then took the i9000 3.6 essentials and instead of copying the folders i copied the files to the apropriate folders
i then flashed itthe reason it was bootlooping earlier was because it was missing the libandroid_runtime.so
the problem with the launcher is there is still some stuff from the /lib directory needed...flashed one with all the .so from lib and launcher shwed up however touch screen wasnt working...so now to go those logcats and see which lib i need
Hey guys. For those that dont know, my Real Icon theme has been found to be compatible with all ICS Touch Wiz roms so far since it uses the villian themer as opposed to full apks. I have confirmed it works well on Scott's clean rom. I havent made a separate folder yet on my ftp site but the one for synergy rom and beans rom are identical, just grab one and install it. I thought about it but past experience has shown me that I get a lot less traffic on generic posts rather than ones that say specifically for a rom they are running. Not sure if people just think "hey, probably doesnt apply here" or what but when they see "this is for clean rom" etc they tend to download it more. I also struggle with putting the date on the post. I like to do it so people know there is a new release but as the thread ages, i get much less traffic because people just think it isnt applicable any more. Am I babbling?
This does not work well on CleanROM if you have installed Kinda Crap mods or other mods that affect the icons in the notification bar.

Most modders will tell you dont mix and match. With that said you could equally say the mods dont work well with my theme. As long as you dont suggest i am breaking stuff then we are good.

I think if you just dirty flash cleanrom over the top after wiping cache and dalvik you should get rid of the old mod

Ok so I found that as long as I flash this mod first, I can flash Kinda Crap mods over it and I can keep the Real Icons icons for Messaging and Calendar and all the in-app icons as well, only the Notification Bar icons are replaced by Kinda Crap, which is fine with me. However, I lose call recording that's enabled by Dirty Tweaks. If I try to flash Dirty Tweaks over top of Real Icons like I did with Kinda Crap, the phone won't boot and I have to restore from backup or re-flash the ROM which wipes out all the mods anyway. Is there any build of Real Icons that won't affect the phone app so that I can keep call recording? Thanks!

It appears that you've only flashed the radio portion of the VRLAHD Rom on your phone. I'm running the same thing. I was wondering if it works when you install the Full HD Rom, not just the HD radio.

Just want to give a big thanks for doing this. I Love Remics and despite trying 50 other ROMs, I always go back to it. I like the TW style and transitions far better than any other launcher and actually just started trying to piece together my own ROM using the ported TW5 launcher, etc but this should fill my need and become my new daily ROM.

I dont know why the advance settings doesnt work properly, anw, u can try flashing the hot fix for RemICS I made and see if it works out or not...
And bout the modem, every roms that come w a modem apart from KJ6 would show KJ6 instead of the correct version so...just trust me that u r using LB6 cause I put it in ^^

Looking good so far. Mine shows LB6 but I came from LB6, so maybe the modem isn't flashing properly for those that see KJ6 still?
Quick question. I bought this phone recently and it came with valhalla final pre-installed on it. I know in order to flash this rom I have to be on ics first so my question is do I flash CM9 and then than flash this rom or do I have to go back to stock and then flash CM9 and then this? I'm only asking since some roms are BML and MTD and I'm a bit confused

I worked on this port for future upcoming MOAR port. I have been undecided on if I should release or not. I decided its a very stable leak and its what it is. Stock with premium suite. I used it and played with it all night and all day today. Everything worked flawlessly on it. I just couldn't take the bare bones stock. Lol. Just in case anyone is wondering and needs to theme it I can confirm circuitry theme works and j beitel's ultimate real icon theme both worked for me... very smooth ROM and Hitman ported another great release. I went back to MOAR just because of the options. I'm sure Hitman can understand and I'm sure I'll be back when MOAR updates... thanks Hitman! :beer::thumbup:
