YouTube streaming over wifi - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

When I stream HD videos on YouTube over my wifi I get a lot of loading pauses which is driving me nuts. My Internet usually has speeds of 2 to 3 mega bytes a second. Are the pauses doe to my S3 or my Internet? Any help fixing this will be appreciated.

[REQUEST] Upload Large Videos to YouTube over 4G rather than WiFi

What is the point of the 4G network if I can't use it. First off all the only way I can share my high quality videos is YouTube. Second I can't upload them to YouTube without having WiFi access.
I'm at college where the WiFi signal is horrible so I was wondering if someone had a work around or a hack that could allow me to upload my "large" video to Youtube over 4G (it's less than a minute of 720p recording).
Thanks for any help.
Tether to your laptop and upload it that way.

Youtube app needs fixed. It's broke. I get errors saying I can't upload files bigger than 1GB when my file is like 500MB.

I never went to college but i'm shocked to here yours has poor wifi. don't they hardwire the dorms with ethernet and you can use your own router?

The dorms here have terrible wifi, they cap the speeds so you might get 3 megabits down/up. ethernet is the same, and they don't let you use your own routers here. some schools are picky.
also just log into youtube, click "mobile setup" and send your videos to the email they give you.

[Q] Any way to force uploads w/o wifi?

I upload a bunch of videos to youtube, and along with the very high quality of the video our phones produce, comes very large filesizes. The upload speed I get through my 4g connection is actually faster than my upload speed on wifi (i have crappy internet service).
So my question, is there anyway for me to force the uploader to work without using wifi?

YouTube app requires WiFi to upload. I tried using the desktop version of YouTube on the default browser as well as Mini Dolphin browser, but both force close on me.

YouTube not working over 4g LTE

Cannot get the YouTube app videos nor videos in the browser to stream over 4g. I switched over to 3g and it works fine and same with wifi. My neighbor has the Galaxy Nexus and YouTube over 4g works fine for him. I did a battery pull/sim pull as well as uninstall/reinstall the app. No go. Anyone else?

Reinstall the Rom or flash newer radios

I have the same issue..I have a droid charge also and it plays all the videos I attempt on my bolt without an issue on 4g. Like you say switch to 3g on the bolt and all is well..I've tried all sorts of things and NO BUENO!!

This has happened before and it seems to be a youtube app issue everytime..
+1
The youtube videos load but it takes minutes, that's if they load at all
It works fine on wifi
Also, my friends with Nexus have 0 youtube issues. And the wife's iphone has 0 issues.
More details
What is your ROM version? or YouTube app version? Where is your location? Maybe you should call not only VZW but HTC for help. My friend in NJ works well over 4G.
I am working now as of 2pm today. Wasn't working this morn. Weird.

The YouTube update fixed the slow loading issue.
I knew it wasn't the network because my friends nexus worked without issue.
Thanks everyone

I notice that issue this morning. video wasn't loading switched back to 3g and worked perfectly. not really a big deal for me.
I am also seeing this issue. HD Youtube videos take minutes to load on 4g and seconds to load on 3g and wifi. Non-hd videos work fine on 4g though. I'm seen it on multiple cm7 variants and across multiple radio releases (on the latest leaks now). Can be very frustrating when trying to watch videos or browse youtube

Streamed video just pauses

Regardless of the source, this includes even the YOU TUBE app. When I'm watching a video, every few seconds to a minute, the video just pauses. Then I have to hit play again and after a bit same thing.
Anyone have this issue?
My one X is bone stock on 1.85
Have you never watched a video on a slow connection before? Its buffering.

I guess I should have posted this in the OP but it's NOT buffering issue.
I have a 30MB connection at home and a 35+MB LTE connection.
PLUS, i can see on the youtube app that the white line (buffering line) is way ahead of whats being played so it's definitely not buffering.

YouTube and choppy videos...

Hey guys, I'm noticing choppiness at the beginning of some of my videos. From my observation it seems to only happen to the first video upon starting up the YouTube app after which most of my other videos start playing as they should. I've never experienced this on any other device, and it happens regardless of whether I'm using WiFi or 4G LTE, and I also still have my Nexus 5 for reference.

What version of the YouTube app do you have? Also try running a speed test and lowering the quality accordingly. I'm having no problem viewing 1080p video but that requires at least like a 6mbps connection which I have over lte and WiFi.
